I just learned half cabs from pushing off a wall because I can't 180 yet but its a foundation for me to learn those. Now I have the confidence for 180s to be my next trick
Honestly the best BMX progression video I have seen. You have a way of explaining things. I think you should do actual trick progressions on your bike and make a video. Even slo mo vids help so much
been running into your videos a lot lately. just subbed. But i resonate with everything you have said in this video. i feel like this is what goes through my mind every session. i only really get 2ish hours a day to ride so i like to have a good session, hopefully not get hurt ha. good stuff dude.
What would you recommend for a returning rider? Stopped bmxing then returned, I'm not caught up on my trick list and feel like everything is harder then how it was. It's a battle just to get old tricks back
13 seconds in and just want to say man i was riding like ten years ago and my nephew has been doing it and i can do some of the things i use to do but I'm so scared of hurting my self lmao Edit 4.02 in and i can flat 180 but would never do it off a curb as i can't do the peddle back thing
also, there is progression in just feeling good on the bike, progressing in style and control. And it's all insividual, no need to learn tricks if YOU dont want to. Dont fell in the trapp of "oh ive been riding for this long, I should know how to do this" practise, break it down and progress in your own tempo. No one should feel pressured to learn tricks.
I’m 25 and just got my first bmx bike. I’ve ridden all sorts of bikes except bmx, so I figured it was time to become more well-rounded. Where would you start if you had no skills and just got an awesome wethepeople bike?
Yeah. Bunny hops firsts. And manuals. Start jumping boxes or dirt jumps. Learn to go backwards and turn back around so you can do 180s. Fly out of ramps to get comfortable with them then start dropping in and airing and stalling. Then you can start doing simple tricks like 1 hander and footer. X ups. No footers. Tables. Start mixing simple trickes like one footed x up etc. move onto harder stuff like turndowns and no handers, barspins, tail whips. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
Im 25 as well used to ride thru all my teenage years even a bit in my early 20s I never lost my touch but just take time and learn how to control the bike before you try anything crazy
@@1lilwatergod meh that was a year ago. I’m onto gravel bikes now. Bmx was neat, and I was starting to get hooked on learning tricks. But I had no community for it and kept getting puncture flats way too easily.

Right there with you. I got back into skateboarding and bmx after a 22 year hiatus.
Same. Just started riding again after like 15 years off. I’m 40 now. It’s hard but fun.
thank you ❤
Exactly I’ve been bmxing for almost 7 years and still can’t bar spin my best trick is a 360 so far
You and me both. So hard to get them.
I’m just getting back into it at 40. Always wanted to barspin before I die. I’m gonna get it
@@captinbuntback at it at 38 😂 let’s go man. We are never too old to ride again
