  • By request I am publishing a detailed interior walkthrough on my 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 HD SLE Gas Truck. Oftentimes you only see the details on the higher end trim levels such as the Denali or AT4, but today I'm showing my SLE trim, which is essentially one step above the "Pro" or work truck trim level. Do I have any regrets? I'll share all the details...

Thank you! Glad to hear it. A viewer asked for this video and it's a great suggestion given limited SLE content out there.

Thx brother. I appreciate your videos. I have a 2023 Chevy 2500 LT. A bit bummed about the 6 speed and older dash but am so impressed with my 1st GM otherwise. Fascinated with GMC Chevy distinctions and love videos like this. Thx again.

I had a 2021 GMC 3500 SLE. No complaints. Mine was as fully loaded as I could get it at the time since there were a ton of supply chain issues at the time of my order. No complaints by me with that trim level. I have since traded it and got the refreshed 2024. I now have a 2024 AT4 3500. Both gas like yours. The AT4 is a 10k upgrade. The big thing is the leather seats as I am less than clean sometimes from work. I also like some of the exterior look from an AT4. But all in all an SLE gives you everything needed and more in a HD truck. The higher levels are not worth what you pay. With that said I do like my AT4 as well. Great truck.

SLE was always the top seller trim back early 2000s and it’s the top trim level still for standard cab and for cab/ chassis.
Lot of bang for the buck ….probably the smartest money with these inflated prices

Couple things I really like about the GMC's I've had, For HD's they are a smooth ride. I've not had Ram other than a test drive. But Ford rode rough. Some people don't like GMC seats. That's OK, each his own. But my back likes the GMC seat. I had Ford, always had a sore lower back. Always. I also didn't like the curve in the Ford door. I like to be able to ride with my arm on the top of the door and have the arm hang out the window in mild weather. On a Ford it was not comfortable for me. Just some of my thoughts.

The SLE is a nice trim that sadly gets limited now because of the AT4 and both Denali trims. What I mean is you can’t get bucket seats with it and a few other options (sunroof, possibly the rear view mirror camera although I’m not sure about that one). Even the SLT gets limited in not having the HUD system as an option. That’s my fault with all these extra high trim levels anyway. Limits the lower trims.
Chevy is not as bad but even the High Country trim gets limited because of the Denali Ultimate lol.
I like how your truck is optioned. The next time I get a truck I want bucket seats though and so a Chevy LT would be my choice because you can still get bucket seats.

Great points! Chevy is sharp look up front. I always go back and forth between which appearance I like better.

    Thanks.
I'm forced into a SLE trim as I need 6 seats. I'm having trouble finding a top level speced. Going Wed to discuss a special order. But they didn't seem too interested. Might have to fly out and drive a truck home.

I hear you. If you're open to Everett in Arkansas, definitely give Brian Cornwell: 501-860-1954 or
Brandon Sharver: 501-844-7548 a call. It was 100% worthwhile for me to fly there and drive back.

@@AdventureRocks I contacted Everett after watching your videos. Sent them my build sheet, took them a month to get back to me, but they won't budge off MSRP. Not sure what's up with that. I sent same build sheet to Laura buick gmc by St louis and they immediately quoted 5K off MSRP with no questions.

    • @AdventureRocks

@@blackhwk0388 I hear you, could be supply/demand. Some are less likely on special orders. 5K is a fair deal. I think Laura & Everett trade places year after year for the #1 and #2 spot on GMC volume in USA. Heard great things about Laura too. Hopefully more incentives will be offered as the 2025s approach in late summer-fall.

I'm building the same truck, although with a Duramax, dealers here only moving off about $1000.00 in addition to supplier discounts. Laura Buick has so far been the best at around $5000.00 off msrp. Good luck. Great video. Thanks

As a fellow owner of a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 SLE w/ Double Cab, your videos have been very informative! Your review on the tonneau cover led me to get the same one, great cover! I did however, go with the WeatherTech floor mats and they fit like a glove. I’ve also installed some factory wheel well liners, and added WeatherTech mud flaps. Have you or are you considering having your truck ceramic coated at all?

I wish the SLT and elevation with leather had a bench seat that's thats a deciding factor but now they have a center console
All I see are videos about Elevation, SLT, Denali but none of SLE till now.

@@patrickblanton227 Indeed 100% correct, 15:20 - once you add some of the combination of options in my SLE to base SLT such as adaptive cruse or surround camera or "convenience pkg" or "preferred pkg" etc...then it forces to bucket seats unfortunately.

Price depends on what area of the country you buy it. Alot of videos show really high prices compared to what I see here in south Alabama.

I could see depending on seat position some may get a section blocked. I sit further back and up higher, so not for me personally. Vol knob is hidden slightly if I'm being picky, but I've memorized where it is.

Why need God's name GM not use the 4.3L (262 CID) in the PRO 1500 SWB and LWB trucks. I purchased a 1986 C-10 (1500) LWB with the 4.3L (262 CID) with only option, a 35 gallon aux tank. I was able to drive 1,100 HWY miles between fillups. I've been watching UA-cam/reading posts of mechanics stating reocurring problems with GM's power plants 2.7L (165 CID), 5.7L (348 CID), and 6.2L (403 CID). In my opion there are only two solid GM engines, 4.3L (262 CID) and the 6.6L (403 CID). My first used truck was 1963 I6 270 CID (4.4L) with 4-speed stick shift LWB that I bought from the orignal order in 1982. Addidtionally, I owned a 1988 Chevy S-10 2.5L (153 CID) 2WD SWB. So, until GM gets their act together, I'm GMC SIERRA 2500 HD CAB) 6.6L (403 CID) SLE 2WD LWB or Savana 3500 Extended Passenger Van 6.6L (403 CID). Main reasons are the 6.6L (403 CID) is old school tech, meaning no auto start-stop; dynamic cylinder deactivation; either can tow 10,000 lbs trailers. The Savana has a slight edge over the Sierra carry family members along with two Large DOG crates. As a Senior, I require a vehicle with safety features to assist me in my driving on black top roads.

I went with a 2500HD for the same reasons. I wanted the ability to tow, wanted a crew cab, liked the idea of the 6.6 gas, but most importantly I didn't want any of their MPG gimmicks, just more stuff to go wrong. Ended up with a Custom trim, almost a WT. Does exactly what I want.
