Let's Fix: Rio Carbon Vintage MP3 Player Power Switch

My friend Don sent in two of these Rio Carbons I featured in a recent mail video. The Carbon is a 5GB 1" disk diameter harddrive based mp3 player that was Rio's challenge to the then popular Apple iPod Mini (which used the same style of drive). The first one has a busted off power button, while the second seems to not want to read/write to any microdrive. Let's see if we can fix the easier to deal with of the two in this video.

I bought the first rio 32 when I was a pre teenager with my first pocket money. This brand reminds me a lot of things.

My first mp3 was a JaMP3, it was a lesson in windows driver frustration for 12 year old me lol. I finally did get it working but with only 16mb of storage and mmc cards being silly expensive I only used it for a few years before upgrading to a 3rd gen ipod I got for my bday. I remember seeing ads for rio players and always wanted one but oddly enough never got one till I was an adult when I started collecting mp3 players.
