Guns for The Kung Fu Man

Chinese people often imagine that Kung Fu fell out of favor because it is outdated, as modern people use guns to fight wars. The recent 3 centuries of decline of Chinese civilization is not due to Kung Fu being outdated losing to modern ring sport on the battlefield, leading to China falling to the colonial empires of the West. Thus many Chinese people believe learning ring sport will make them better modern fighters than learning Kung Fu.
The truth is, the Chinese under the Manchurian Qing Dynasty and the Kuomintang, lost wars because their firearms were outdated and stopped improving. In the Ming Dynasty, Chinese firearms were among the best in the world, but stopped evolving after a power shift in the imperial court led to the empire becoming conservative and backward minded.
So my fellow Chinese, if you want to be confident of your own identity, it is not Kung Fu that you should blame; it is guns that you should learn to shoot. Learn about the latest and coolest guns on the market. Become a marksman.
