I looked like a mix of many Southeast Asians, but I am Chinese. I am not pure Chinese as I have mixed ancestry, which is a branch from the Han ethnicity like the Hui, categorised as Peranakans. But I am not Chinese, I am Malaysian. Chinese is a nationality, while Han is an ethnicity. If you say that person looked Chinese mixed with middle eastern, how would we know? China have 56 recognised ethnicities and foreign descendants, any one of them born in China is automatically Chinese. Very consistent with Chinese practices. Good armour are only worn by Generals while foot soldiers wears what looks like a poor excuse for an armour (Inferior in Protection and quality).. No wonder they lost to the Mongols.. 🤦🏼🤣
So many things that is wrong here. Here is qing Manchu armor. Qing were the one conquered the mongol. Also brigandine armor is wore by elite soldiers too and exist in huge quantities.
Cool. Awesome.
Hmm, so a type of brigandine and a heart protector?
A cuirass, I think.
The mirror is ceremonial. It comes from the ancient mirror armor.
Now imagine its kevlar
Kevlar only stops impacts, not penetration, so it'd be a downgrade

You’d be surprised how effective rattan helmets and shields are. In the age of gunpowder armor becomes less and less important.
