Kelly McGonigal is my new hero! (and OK, what man could help crushing on her). Seriously, her work is awesome. Just started her book "The Willpower Instinct". Amazing stuff. Hers is a mind of the highest order.
This is the real frontier of medicine. We know that so many medical conditions could be effectively treated or even reversed if people attended more to thing like diet and exercise and overcoming addictions, but we really do not know how to reliably achieve this. There are very few long term case series for example where people have lost a lot of weight and kept it off. This is where I think that the work of people like Kelly is so valuable.
Its all about FLOW. Problems arise in every aspect of life when the FLOW is disrupted. Now I know why as a child it fascinated me to water a garden. To watch water destroy tiny mounds as it sought its level.
I am extremely attracted to this woman! I see gorgeous women everyday in my town, some of them are smoking. And yet they can't match Kelly's intelligence. It's enrapturing to see her talk. I wish I have the chance to see her and talk with her.
