As a retired middle school English teacher, I have dealt with students with similar conditions. Knowing the triggers goes a long way in helping. I applaud your bravery and congratulate your discovery. Thank you for sharing. I am sure this will help many others with this condition. Love from America.
as someone that has dealt with an anxiety disorder for years (OCD), I feel I can understand your struggle to a high degree. I'm glad you're not seeing your recent diagnosis as some sort of really bad thing and rather as a revelation of sorts, I thought it was really cool and funny that you bought yourself a cake to mark the occasion lol
I am glad that you NOW ubderstand the cause of all those moments in your past that you questioned "why did I do that?/say that etc. A cake celebration is a great idea!
I know one that have similary situation as you told about in the start. It is lots of ups and downs. It makes lots of frustration. Especially when it is planned stuff, it often fail. Why not eat with hashi? I ate cake with korean hashi on my brithday at one friend in Korea. Not easy.
That's so interesting, I also learned that about myself in my early 20's. My life hasn't really changed but it does help my partner understand some of my quirks a little bit better. Wishing you the best!
I’m glad you’re taking care of yourself and learning more about yourself. Thank you for sharing, it will certainly help others and hopefully inspire them.
Glad to see you back! Understanding who we are is a lifelong journey, and discovering and learning more is always worth celebrating. Sending good vibes your way. :)
Wow I wouldn’t have known! Super brave of you to be open, and it’s probably pretty liberating in a way to find out too. And good idea with the cake! lol
Hey Chika, hisashiburidana! Miss you and Cloud much and very happy for your Discovery Day. What a relief, eh? Holy cow... is that an Eldredge knot??? #bitchin cool
From all the things you mentioned in the first part of the video I worked out what your diagnosis was, as my son has the same diagnosis, and now you have a super-power
i have it too, only a very light form. didn't got diagnosed until 2005. at this point at 33 years old i've learned to live with it. once you know what you have it makes it easier to accept it. having people around you who treat you normally really helps alot
Hi Chika! Thank you for sharing your life update. I find it unique and interesting that you wanted to celebrate with cake. Please take care of yourself. I maybe sitting behind a computer but I am cheering you on.
My mother told me i had this when i was 26 at the lowest part in my life (We don't talk any more). Still trying to get it diagnosed. What you said mostly felt like someone was talking about me.
I am glad you are back. I'm also happy that you are getting more answers about what has been causing some of the unpleasant symptoms you have been experiencing. I love your channel. Best wishes.
ayy I'm really happy that you found out about it. It really does help finally knowing that there is a name to the thing that is causing you problems. Hope that it lifts some weight off you shoulders.
I'm in a similar situation as you haha..I have bad anxiety/depression, I've dealt with PTSD and panic attacks in the past, as for you being too serious, I'm the same way lol. I don't have the other stuff except claustrophobia though, It's gotten better than it was in the past but still a lot to deal with. You are among friends :)
It’s ok I total understand the not like the hey ugly sarcastic nature of people in the mind space don’t like it either and I told her this video. I’m a little the same way and it’s ok! Your super awesome! Glad that you told your story! Big hugs!
You'll always have my support along with many others. Just so you should know, you are not alone as someone like myself who has autism shares your sorts of experiences and challenges.
I love your honesty , you are awesome , I hope you Make more videos like this, you seem like a very strong person I’m sure you will be fine and figure everything out
@ChikaAlice. hi, , Are you really who you say you are or is this , some kind of scam? Please tell me why you want me to contact you, And why, I hope your reply to my text, I did not mean this to sound rude I hope you understand what I’m saying
Just saw this. I'm also diagnosed, and at an early age. (Like, under 5) I didn't even know until my mom showed me the papers when I was in my 20s. My problem is mostly how slow I react and think, and some OCD tendencies. I don't know if it has anything to do with it, but this probably explains why I like grinding in video games. lol
Good to see you again Chika ..missed your posts ☺. Thanks for talking about this ..sure it will help other going through similar issues 😊. Talking to others always helps ...glad you have support of friends (on here) and family ..take care and please stay safe 😍💕
Thank you for being so open, that’s not easy. I can relate to what you said about theme park rides - I feel the same about some car trips, I chalk mine up to it being some sort of claustrophobia 😅 Best wishes always, please take care 😊 You’re getting stronger every day!!
I learned the same thing about myself as an adult as well! It's cool that you were able to learn this in Japan, I'd be interested to hear what the support for that there is like bc I'm going to live in Japan next year. Congratulations and good luck!
I am in a similar boat as you, got diagnosed with anxiety/depression at 12 and through my research and reflecting on my life thus far (I am 22), I think I need to press my doctor more about my condition. I am grateful for you sharing! My therapist isn’t allowed to diagnose me but she suggested that I look into Sensory Processing Disorder, which is very similar but not the same as your condition. (If you want me to remove my comment I will- I definitely want to respect your wishes and if my comment is too much- I understand. I just wanted to put an idea out there for anyone else that may be struggling the way I am.)
Miss your vids!!! So glad that you found "a key!" (Trying not spoil any of the good info from the vid) xD I feel Cloud on that frozen strawberry though. X.x
High points for publicly acknowledging your condition, embracing it with cake and having a super supportive, articulate and wise friend who understands. It's tough but it looks like you have a handle on it. Keep up your great videos!
Chika and Cloud!!! It's so good to see you guys again! I've missed your videos! Chika, you read my mind -- as I was watching the video I wondered "What does Cloud think about this?" ... Way to anticipate what people would be thinking, Chika! Congrats on learning more about yourself -- I can only see that as being helpful to you in the future. Thanks for sharing -- and I look forward to more of your videos!
Chika!🥺🥺🥺おかえり!お疲れ様でした🥹 I’m happy that you’ve returned and happy to see that you’re in high spirits~ I was wondering if you were doing okay lol😅🥲 Good luck on this new part of your journey as a neurodivergant~! I’m neurodivergant as well (adhd with anxiety) and I’ve worked with people that are in your community (aba), so when you listed all of your quirks, I knew where this video was going. I’m so glad that you have a great support system like Cloud☺️🫶 I hope you feel comfortable sharing this new part of your journey with us! Thank you so much for sharing!🖤 It’s comforting to hear you share the more personal things that happen with you🥹
I'm happy to see a notification from your channel. Really missed you guys. I now need a T-shirt or merch that reads, "...because, why not celebrate with a cake?".
Ahhh that must be a relief to find out finally (better late then never) but at least now it's easier to work with it rather than having to think it's your fault. Bonus: I hear that that ppl with these diagnoses can be savant geniuses! 🤓
I wish I was high functioning. I wonder if I’m just low functioning normal or if there’s a diagnosis out there to explain me too. I’ll be honest. None of these issues you talk about sometimes in your videos show on camera at all. And you don’t seem robotic in any way. Your videos are great - please make more ☺️
Maybe I have the same thing because there was a time that a friend said I sounded like a robot but as far as your speaking ability, I see it as normal 😅 Maybe you also have OCD (like a small version of it)
Chika sama, remember that you are you. And always keep in mind that in life you can only say "take me as I'm. Positive and negative". So we can learn from each others.
@@chikanoha Fascinating. I've never heard any of the Japan expats (Japanese expats?) I follow talk about that. Likely not restricted to a Japan-only thing, but I've never heard of such a service anywhere. Looked good. Though personally I always go for chocolate cakes. haha
I saw you on Mairie's channel. I like you because you are so much like her. But, you have such perfect English. You just need more self confidence. Fear of rejection can be overcome. We all don't like noise and too much light. We all should have fear of height.
Couple of quick things. Was the person who made the diagnosis a psychatrist, or someone who specializes in anxiety or OCD issues? I just think it's important to have a diagnosis from someone who really knows how to identify those kind of issues and how to treat them. I don't know if you have been prescribed any medication, but some medications can be very helpful. Again a psychiatrist would be the person to see as opposed a regular doctor. Also, things like meditation, exercise and eating right are important in keeping your mind and body healthy. Good luck.
I meant to say this but forgot. You’ll probably keep learning things about yourself and general things forever. I just learned I’ve been brushing my teeth wrong my whole life. I’m a good bit older than you. My poor teeth 😂. So much dental work.
I am so happy that you are back, I missed your videos. Also I don't know if you know or heard of wanderfulanya , here on UA-cam. She has said that she has some issues also. Mostly anxiety and being around large crowds. So you're not alone .I believe that there are people out there , that have some disorders in life, but maybe not as many as you have. I pray that it gets better for you in life. Again welcome back .🙏
I've been through something similar just this year and I can so much relate to your feeling of let's say relieve (?) I cried a couple of times, bc I learned that there's a reason for why I'm the way I am. 🥲 So, I'm really glad you found out!
Great Mental Health is greatly Overrated. Eating a quart of Rocky Road Ice Cream solves everything. I'd suggest that you live on a deserted island with an unlimited water dispenser, but then we wouldn't ever hear from you or see you again. Go buy some ice cream.
Thanks for sharing. I also talk like a robot and have always struggled in social situations. All I can do is be myself and keep working. Thanks Chika!
