In case anyone heard what he said about rotten hearts is reading this, they aren't bad.
You get specific heart types depending on what room type you are in when you pick up the pedestal item.
One quick trick to get you something that you might need is to craft 8 coins into the slot machine and then prepare to craft another eight coins into a slot machine, walk into the room that you want the heart type from and then finish crafting.
Rotten Hearts are often required in crafting items you would find in the curse room: guppy, gimpy, and etc. Eternal hearts for Angel items, black hearts for devil items, and Bone hearts for secret room items.
A lot of these items absolutely require that you have at least one of the specific type of heart associated with their item pool type.
The last two items n “it just gets BETTER” had me fucking cackling LOL

What is this mod shoving recipe for items?
tainted cain is my least favorite character in isaac. yes even worse than tainted eden. playing in the dark with bad stats for a hour to suddenly have a guarantee win every time is not fun in my world.
