Paul makes a really interesting observation around 25 minutes that I very much agree with. There's something about Jack where you feel safe watching his characters, in the best possible way. That's not to say he's dull or even expected. He just exudes a warmth and likability while still making interesting choices and fleshing in the character with micro expressions and movements. Simon Pegg has a similar quality.
Great conversation about the art and craft that is acting. The importance of being “in the moment” and enjoying what your character is doing be it on stage or in front of the camera creates wonderful results for the actor and the audience. Young actors who watch and learn from more experienced actors are in themselves a joy to watch as you see them grow. The spontaneous moments that occur keep you “on your toes”. Recently saw a new melodrama about Zorro entitled “The Grapes of Zorro”. Zorro and the villain have a sword fight and Zorro’s sword broke and without stopping they grabbed two rubber chickens that were on the stage and did the fight as if they were the swords. The joy of the unexpected for the actors and in this case the audience resulted in a show stopper. So guys continue to “break-a-leg”.
Jack can talk rings around Paul when it comes to describing other actors. / But both are brilliant actors. Slow Horses is the best show on TV. I love it, scripts are so freaking clever, and I spend half the show laughing at Gary's and Jack's brilliant line deliveries.
you get the feeling the two of them are friends. i think maybe a link with JL wife, who i think is an actor buddy of PM. PM did a wicked Scottish accent and SR also did it twice. So lots of good reasons to like them all. JL is great in SH> if you havent saw it then you should.

Loved being a fly on the wall while these two good friends had a chat!
The way they speak about women would shock you.
Such an interesting conversation. Almost felt like I was intruding on a private convo!
Love both of them. Slow Horses, with Gary Oldman too, is an amazing series!
Fantastic, thank you so much. I love listening to more authentic insights from arguably one of thee most important industries in the world.
Two super actors . Decent blokes too . Good luck to all . 😊😊😊

Jack Lowden is married to Saoirse Ronan and they are good friends :)
@dellialim8882 I know. Seems a perfect combination to be honest
Very intelligent and subversive, very lovely.
These orchids need a bigger pot
Great to not hear a US or English accent, for a change. Setup up a celtic national theatre or festival.
