亞裔甚至華裔社區對於投票一直都是比較不那麼熱衷的族群，主要是因為大家很多時候認為自己的一票力量太小，不足以改變局面，既然如此，為何要花費時間？但其實對於本地的公職候選人和提案選舉來說，勝負往往就是幾百票，幾十票，甚至乎幾票之差。這個時候，其實你我的每一票，都可能起到關鍵作用。
The Asian and Chinese communities have generally been less enthusiastic about voting, mainly because many believe that their individual vote is too insignificant to make a difference. With that mindset, why bother spending the time? However, in local elections for public offices and ballot measures, victories can often come down to just a few hundred, a few dozen, or even just a few votes. At that point, every single vote from you and me could be the deciding factor.
