  • Jobs in Germany for Indians is all we are going to talk about in this video. Everything you should know before looking for a job in Germany.
    If you have made up your mind to get a job in Germany, then you should watch this video completely.
    If you are someone in India and have several questions related to getting a job in Germany or general questions about getting settled in Germany, then this video is for you.
    In this 30 minutes long Q and A session, I answered several questions related to getting a job in Germany (especially for Indians), the German culture, expenses, and a lot more.
    There are mainly 4 different types of visa using which you can move to Germany. These are:
    1. Employment visa
    2. Jobseeker visa
    3. Family reunion visa
    4. Student visa
    1. Employment visa:
    ================
    If you manage to get a job offer from a local German company, you can apply for an Employment visa.
    2. Jobseeker visa:
    ==============
    If you do not yet have a job offer from a German company, you can still apply for a job seeker visa and come to Germany for a period of 6 months.
    Within these 6 months, you are required to find a job in Germany. Otherwise, you will have to go back to India and try again after serving a cooling period of a few months.
    3. Family reunion visa:
    ==================
    A family reunion visa is applicable when you are married and your spouse is already working in Germany. In this case, you can apply for the family reunion visa and join your spouse in Germany.
    As a dependent, you are also allowed to work in Germany If you are able to find a job for yourself.
    4. Student visa:
    ============
    If you have plans to pursue your higher studies in Germany, then a student visa is what you are looking for.
    To apply for a student visa, you should have an admission letter or an invitation letter from a German University.
    How I got a job in Germany?
    =======================
    In this video, I have also shared information about my own journey from India to Germany.
    I came to Germany as part of the deputation process of Infosys (My Indian employer) for a period of 3-4 months.
    While I was in Germany, I applied to a couple of local German companies and got a job offer from one of them.
    My interview was mostly virtual i.e over video call and coding challenge.
    I also got my signed job contract while I was still in Germany and hence, it was not that difficult for me to apply for a visa when I was sent back to India to serve my notice period with the current Indian employer.
    Since I had been in Germany for 3-4 months, I decided to apply for an Employment visa for myself and a Family reunion visa for my spouse and my daughter.
    We all traveled together to Germany at once and I think this was one of the best decisions I made in my life.
    More
    =====
    Apart from the questions related to jobs in Germany, I have also shared information related to the German culture and the differences between living in India v/s living in Germany.
    Also, covered a bit about the cost of living in different cities of Germany and the various job opportunities these cities have to offer.

      Hi
      Please check the eligibility criteria for PR on the official website.
      You can also email your city Foreign office in Germany (If you are already in Germany)
      In General, Dependents are eligible for PR only after a stay of 5 years in Germany

      Chances are higher if you are in Germany. At the same time, you should be ready mentally and financially to spend 6 months in Germany without any pay. Do your preparation before making any decision. And yes, it is possible to get a job while you are still in india. Visit www.germanyiscalling.com for more details
      Thanks
