There’s a fun logic game called Set, where you have to make groups of 3 cards with either everythhing ( shape, number, pattern) or nothing in common. It can be played competitively or solo, and is harder than it sounds!
I love the idea of giving a journal/diary every year.
For my nieces, nephews, children I have nannied etc, I like to get read, do/make and wear. I sometimes choose a theme ( colour, franchise, animal so red, Harry Potter or dinosaur) too, depending on the child’s interests/hobbies.

For the 6 year old I would have her read to you at nighttime before bed for 20 minutes a night. She needs regular books at night not the electronic.
Thanks for your comment :) We homeschool, so she reads to me a lot during the day, and I read to them, pretty much all day long 😅 this electronic reading set is mainly for her to use during our quiet time in the afternoons.
