  • Hello hello and welcome to the very beginning of my Harry Potter reading journey!! ✧˖°.☾ While I have read books one and two a bit when I was younger, the rest of the series is entirely unknown to me (aside from what I've seen in the movies of course). I have found a deep love and passion for this universe over the years, so its about time I read the books it came from!
    Thanks for watching!

I‘d looove to read the book with new eyes again ❤
I so interesting to hear about differences between the movie and book again. I can’t remember what my first thoughts were about Hermione, but yes, she is definitely a bit more annoying in the books but in a real life way 😆
I hope you agree that this doesn’t count as a spoiler but later on it is said that baby harry had a children’s broom and flew around on it 🥰 so it was genes and muscle memory.
Ohh and someone in the books said that there must be wizards working at the post office - so what if they take the post that is sent by muggles in the usual way and give it to the owls when it’s a wizards address? 😍
I’d love to hear more about your thoughts!

The UA-cam algorithm randomly recommended this to me and I am glad it did. :)

ive always felt like its "easier" to like movie hermione because they kind of took away her flaws, she gets a lot of other characters lines (ron and even dumbledore) in the movies, she even knows things that are explained to her by other characters in the books etc. i like how book hermione is far from perfect and can even be a little annoying and really stubborn. it makes her more real.

the trio makes a lot more sense to me in the books as well. their dynamic as a trio and as friends i mean!
oh and the cloak thing... invisibility cloaks exist (they are rare and expensive) but the one that harry has is different. its gonna be explained in the books so dont worry.

yeah the director's favourite character is hermione, that's why she gets a lot of the cooler lines that were originally from other characters. i think it's a horrible decision because ron is ripped of his own contributions to the story and instead becomes a comic relief character, and harry looks a lot more stupid, while hermione becomes mary sue. like the whole point of the trio is that while hermione had the book smarts, ron had knowledge of magical culture because he grew up in a magical family, and harry had ingenuity, something hermione absolutely does not have in the books.

i hated hermione in the books because she was stubborn, judgemental and unwilling to acknowledge her own faults, but i hated her in the movies because she was supposedly perfect and had no flaws. i prefer book hermione by a mile because at least there's depth to her character.

I ove the characters of the trio way more in the books.
Shades of a librarian's soul. I can't help but cringe every time I see someone write more than an inscription on the bank cover page of a book. Yes I'm a Hermione. 😂
I actually prefer book Hermione because she's not Miss Perfect. She can be annoying, judgemental and has a tendency to panic or freeze in dangerous situations.
