I started as japanese with around 20% win rate at 25 games. For now it's 55% win rate at 350 games in br2. I found it was really hard to fight low br americans. But katanas and bayonets and all that crazy kamikaze wibe just made me improve myself. For now it's my favourite nation. Best and only scoped MG + katana + best semiauto br2 rifle + amasing 50rounds SMG + best br2 plane that easily kills any amer plane and blows up any tank with 60kg bombs = happy Emperors chosen warrior. Japan might not be the 1st, 2nd or even 3rd best nation in the game in terms of overall strength but it just makes it that much more fun when you do win as it takes a bit more strategy to pull off successful matches on a consistent basis.
The new infantry guns easily catapulted Japan to the best nation of the game. Their fighter plane and Ho-Ri tank are also amongst the best of the game if not the best of their class.
As a long time player of the Japanese faction with an 85% win rate, let me tell you that this guide is absolutely perfect. In my current lineup I have the Ho-Ri as a must. Just to deal with whatever they send to us in the battlefield. It's like a Japanese Ferdinand.
Great guide as always! I am personally using 9-man rifleman squads with the Japanese at present. They are all equipped with maxed out Type Hei Automatic Rifles. I am considering replacing my Type 100 MG squad as well because of its dispersion. Now they are only lacking a good AT weapon and planes with rockets.
I prefer the backpack upgrade on my machine gunners and, I find that it's easier for me to suppress and keep the enemy numbers down with a larger ammo pouch.. Also with how the game is weapons of the same type share ammo.
The most fun squad I have is actually the type 3 Ka Chi, the pay wall is one thing but it’s is absolutely one of the most fun squads you can have for the Japanese. I use it as a special naval landing force with basically a boat with a decent cannon and literally 7 assaulters with high BR smgs, grenades and backpacks with medkits. I use the tank to find rally points along the shore in the maps that allow and just start blasting, then rush in behind enemy lines and deploy the crew. If you know how to use this tank it can be extremely op because it has 60 pieces of both AT and HE shells, relatively quick reload speed and 50mm of frontal armour.
i agree with you, if you want to play purely for performance and helpfullnes on the battlefield, use rifleman squads cuz of their weapons and their size, however for the average enlisted player, or new ones, they are going to want to experience the different classes in the game, such as flamethrowers and assaulters, because of this they are probably going to opt for designated specialist squads instead of basic rifleman squads, whilst it is much better in terms of performance to play rifleman squads, it kind of seems like a shame to miss out on the many various classes in the game, even if they might not be as effective. exept for mortarmen, dont play those
for what you said i made the low BR guide, thats where new players can easily try out most squads and see what they like. this guide goes straight to whats the strongest, since thats hard for many to figure out.
It’s a shame there are no legacy squads for Japan. All my other factions have squad setups for Br 2 /3 & 5 ready to go but Japan I only have level 5. Also at br5 I can only use one effective fighter where the Americans have so many to choose from and bring multiple fighter squads to battle.
Hey, can somebody help explain why my premium apc is ranked br 3 when it is shown to be br2, idk cus i want to stay low br and not go into hellholl br3😊
@@Cheezitz0909 you can check every single soldier with every single of his items to find the one hidden thing, it may be a secondary weapon like rocketr launcher
id say they are medium, not too great but one can get used to them without being annoyed (unlike most american sides or the asymmetric winchester sights)

japanese for 1000 silver in the normal shop, other factions rare events

most of the sights are perfectly fine for me but the type I which is basicaly a carcano has horrific sights
