I figured you were exaggerating (I don't play WT), but nope it was actually about 20 seconds missile flight time.
Saying "requesting CAS" and then actually getting good CAS from a teammate has got to be one of the best feelings in WT
Ground teammates helping you find targets and helping them push through important chokepoints has got to be one of the best feelings in WT
I was running in circles around a rock yesterday playing ring around the Rosie with an enemy , I spotted him and out of no where a friendly jet flies by at atleast 700 kmh maybe faster and dropped a bomb right on top of him , took him out and didn't even damage me. I was in awe of how accurate that bomb was.

It's a scout vehicle with misslers on it. It even has a .50 cal. What else could you want?
Im assuming u don't know the type 60 atm, so I'll tell u, the missiles are ass, they are the slowest in game and the damage is meh. Ur only gun is 50 cal lol, the only way to grind this vehicle is play as scout and the ocasional shoot side of an enemy

The clips where you called in Cas are so damn cool. That's litteraly the type of shit you dream off when playing wt. Be it Randoms or friends; Calling in an air strike and, it not being a game feature but an actual player doing the shooting makes it so damn fun.

As the guy who does the airstrike (if the gameplay doesn't look like a powerpoint presentation) its really fun and rewarding knowing you helped somebody push a potentionally round winning (capture/choke) point

There's something to be said for direct guidance - it doesn't give a damn about any sort of countermeasure. Not to mention the psychological impact of seeing it slowly coming for you and ignoring your attempts to distract it.
Fun in bad/ineffective vehicles is relatable.
Reminds me of games in which I played the Wiesel 2A4 at higher tiers, but no light targets in sight, so I played mobile toolbox and repaired MBTs on the front.

i remember seeing his first vid on the type 60 when the atms were god awful as in they would fly right through targets, it was amazing watching phly lose his mind

You have phun in the worst vehicles because it phorces you to work with your team instead of being able to rely solely on yourself to do everything. You’re very much a social person and it shows 👍 honestly kinda miss the vids where you’d play with some of your buds in call with you

It's weird the success Ive had with the type 60 atm. Like Ive genuinely have had mostly good times with it.

I love this vehicle. As Phly said: "it's a challenge". So much fun when you destroy the target with this thing.
I unironically love this thing, it's so fun to play. Shame it's missile arc is so high tho, back when the arc was really low it was viable in cqc too
The thing that I love about this vehicle is that you know you're not gonna be able to grind with this thing so you just have fun in it.
I think Phyl would have a heart attack if they are adding the M24 ATM with 4x of this Type 60 MAT missiles strapped on the turret 🤣
I search it, and one of first images on google was jeep with 2 of those straped to the back... i want THAT

As an ex war thunder player for more than 4k hours and being mainly in the japanese branch i truly enjoyed this, cause i know the pain and suffering but as well how rewarding and different can be playing with japanese forces, great play Phly!! you always make me want to return to the battle :)
The Swingfire is basically this but without the 50. cal, armour and crew. Not saying it's bad, but the similarities are close, Nice video Phly :D
Except the most important part, the missiles are mouse aimed on the swingfire.

Except missiles are mouse aimed, you get more of them, and they are way faster. As someone who has played both like 80% of the time you fire the type 60 you die trying to guide your missile in. Who wouldve thought sitting in one spot for 30 seconds motionless would be a bad idea? Also the type 60 was bugged for years where if your commander was killed you just lost the ability to shoot your missiles. One of the reason it had such a bad reputation.
My K/D in this thing is surprisingly high. When i spaded it i was getting many 4+ kill games and the MG was surprisingly effective. I think it being so bad just made me smarter as a survival instinct. However this was all over 3 years ago.
this is the only literal vehicle that I wouldn't even get mad or question if I get killed, but just give props and a job well done to whoever landed the missile

I remember when this god damn pos was bugged for years where if your commander died you lost the ability to fire. Any shot that hit you basically lobotomized you into a vegetable.

As a avid user of the type 60, it is good in some scenarios, you can aim the missile past obstacles. I was thinking about getting a friend to launch a drone or stream his side of the game to me, and then guide the missile to a random enemy on the map. Also, when shooting close range aim a lot lower then the tank and the missile can kill tanks above 120m or so.
Oh and one more thing, when your on a point with the type 60 you can just constantly launch missiles as it instantly rearms when you get new ammo :D
The Back Prince at 7:50 was just demonstrating the state of APDS post pen damage right now, not to mention how inaccurate they are.

Laughs in raketenjagdpanzer 2. The rakjpz2 is so much worse than this, wasd missles at 7.7 against much faster targets, the missles drop a foot after launch so you cant hide behind terrain and fire or youll hit dirt. Also has no scout ability. Pretty much every youtuber pretends it doesnt even exist, phly made one video on it years ago and never mentioned it again. Phlyfather pls play it again
Phly, the firephly (either variant) is the only aircraft that can transform from a monoplane to a "biplane" (by using combat flaps). Day 1

My buddy would actually get some nasty and wild kills woth this thing. Granted if he missed he was most likely dead the few seconds after but if he hit and killed 2 people in a row it was immediate CAS in the air and searching for him. The suffering though on certain maps made me very sure I would never crew this thing.

Funny thing, this tank is actually what brought me to te game. I'm casual player with bad to mediocre skill grinding Japanese tree just because I was curious of this vehicle when it came up few years ago. And now when Im one tank before it, I found out it's the worst of it's class 😂

I have a love and hate relationship with this vehicle, I played it so much because I find the gameplay very challenging, and I hate it because I suffer when I use it. I've managed to pull some double kills and sick move with it, it's so rare that it just feels sooooo good.
I have spaded about every vehicle below 6.7 and this was one of the most frustrating vehicles to grind! Don’t plan on playing it ever again
Not many know this but the Type 60 ATM is the most survivable paper armor vehicle in the game

Hey Phly, I found a cool theory with flares that I was wondering if you could try on the f14a in a video. The way it works is you set the same key bind for flares to decrease throttle so when you flare your afterburner disables and your less of a hot target.

It's a nice idia. But you don't need dicrise the throttle every time . R60 anf aim9Js go for flares pritty nicely.

How do I still, many many years on, see so many people opening the full size map to call out locations? You can bind a button for "show cursor" to allow you to click on the minimap to call out grid positions.
Cuz the full size map is a lot bigger, you can put more accurate call outs

I actually aced this vehicle - I don' mind playing missle carriers for some weird reason. It wasn't TOO bad, but it wasn't joyful if you know what I mean. I found the BKan more frustrating than this thing for and abandoned trying to Ace the BKan. One man's garbage and all that..... lol! Maybe I should go back and ace that Bkan?
I bullied one of these because I was like 20 metres too close for him to pull his missile down to hit me for about 4 attempts before I put him out of his misery
