TN is a pretty Diverse state in general. The overall Black population wont be like Georgia but definitely a hugely diverse state and everyone is welcomed White/black/yellow/red/blue/gay. I enjoy black culture even though I know as a white person I'll never truly understand it, but also age doesn't matter either when it comes to the campuses or colleges, it doesn't matter if you're 30 and coming from a community they will give you a chance. I'm 26 and just got in LOL, Late bloomer/non-traditional. Don't be fearful for your children or others if you think it'll be like that it isn't. I have lots of black friends, love soul food and care about the culture. We wouldn't even have football if it weren't for the Goliaths we get from the black races, or Basketball even. The media likes to portray white on black violence, but notice how it's literally the Government/Government employees? That's the damn politicians in general and cops who are still racist and power tripping and it's disgusting. We all know this. Racial profiling within the policing industry is still strong and it's like an embedded way of conduct and it's bogus because this isn't damn Chicago where it's gangland and a means to survive. I can understand in Chicago, because that's gangsters like the Capone days, but the policy of normal states/cities should not be wrapped around that ideology.
