Enjoy!
Truly, this man must be in that small group of "best singers ever". Brilliant singer with a superb vocal technique.
The golden age of the romantic crooner is gone.I miss it so much.
IMO, this was the best movie for both of them. It revealed McQueen's sensitive side and Natalie looked so beautiful. It makes you wish they were a real-life couple.
Our world today represents the LACK of this sentiment, honesty, and beauty !
Where are the Jack Jones of today !!! I think we all miss these beautiful voices and the true romance of the 50's and 60's.
Oh, you are SO right! I guess for me, it was the mid-60's on, that I learned what life was all about, some bad and some good of course. But the music of that era was so superb compared to the "music?" today! A time of beautiful ballads like this one.
There ARE NO singers today of the caliber of Jack Jones, and others of that fabulous '60's era, we miss them all, the artists that are gone now, and there are so many! Today, we just do NOT seem to have the same quality of their magnitude. In acting, singing, probably directing and producing too! What a change in today's artists, just not comparable in any way. Maybe it's because they have no peers today, with true talent to relate to and self-improve to meet the standards and compete with, kind of sad.
Well, Clay, they all age and die, but sadly, they are not replaced with artists as great as they were. Today's singers show us nothing, compared to back then. But then, Jack Jones (one of my favorite singers) doesn't sound like the above anymore either, his voice is not as good now as it once was, and artists should quit while they're ahead if that happens! We all age and are not as good as we once were in many things -- so do it gracefully and hang it up in time so that the best is preserved in memory! Such as this beautiful song, by Jack, back when he was at his best.(Natalie and Steve never got the chance to grow old, what a shame.)
I still very much enjoy Jack Jones!!! When he was 83 , he cut an album “ Every other day I have the blues “!!! I own it and listen to it!!! I love him very much!!! He will be 85 in February and I don’t like anyone saying he needs to stop singing!!!
Jack knocks it out of the park with this rendition
Probably Jack at his best he made it his song thank you Jack Jones
This has been a favorite song of mine for many years. Sadly, both Steve and Natalie are gone now, but we can bring them back here with this song!
Awesome movie to both RIP 🙏
Beautiful song with a tribute to the late, very lovely Natalie Wood. She was enigmatically beautiful, with a tender soul, gone from us too soon.
For myself this is the most beautiful Romantic movie ever seen, the chemistry between McQueen and Wood was phenomenal
Jack Jones - what a voice. Really beautiful song. Whoever did the video for this did an amazing job. I always loved Natalie Wood and Steve McQueen. I never pictured him in a movie like this because he was always such a 'cool' guy. His soft side really came out in this movie. Guess I always had a little crush on him. But Natalie...when I found out she died in the 80s, it really upset me for many many days. I'd kept hoping she would make a comeback after being away for so long...
They took so so many pictures together for this movie.
So glad they did . They make a beautiful looking couple.
I enjoy looking at all of them .
Loved the movie . One of my favorites of Natalie and Steve.
Lovely song from a great romantic classic movie. They don't make clean romantic movies like this anymore.
I love the movie! I think it is so underrated and so are the performances of Natalie Wood and Steve McQueen. It is my favorite film of both of them. I love the way Jack Jones, one of the most underrated singers of the 60s and 70s. Natalie died 40 years ago today. God Bless Her! Thanks Natalie for doing this film. Thanks for all the films you left behind.
It's my favorite performance of both Steve and Natalie also. He was just looking for a one night stand and she was looking for a little romance and in the end, they both found love. It makes you believe in true love again. It may not have been a big box office hit when it was first released but it has since become a cult classic. IMO, they were the perfect screen couple.
5 Oscar nominations including best actress Natalie Wood
Some of us are trying to bring back this kind of singing, and the true romance that was enjoyed by past generations. It's hard to get listeners, and hard to move forward and find the lovers of this kind of wonderful music. Help those you find.
I am definitely one!!! I don’t listen to anything but this beautiful music , mostly Jack Jones!!! I have loved him since I was 14 years old and I first saw him on Ed Sullivan!!! I am 80 years old now and I still love 💕 him so much!!’ Most of my music is Jack and I have a lot on my phone!!! Listen to it every day ❤!!!
This song by Jack Jones kills me ...It takes me back to 1964. Did you know that this song was playing on the radio of the Beatles' NY Hotel room when they where on their way to their first Ed Sullivan show in Feb. of 1964. Check out the "Beatles First US Tour" documentary. The last song they heard before being on stage at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in 64. That's History !
i played this over and over in the sixties...
Oh, I love this song and also the movie!! Natalie and Steve were Wonderful!!!
First song Jack sung that made me an everlasting fan ,boy he could sing ❤
Terrific movie...two of the all-time greats in Natalie Wood & Steve McQueen. Equally good is JJ's rendition of the title song...this man had a pure golden voice in those days.
Beautiful ballad. Just watched the movie on TCM the other night; so nice to see a good love story with wonderful actors - both greatly missed.
Loved the movie but it's been ages since I saw it.
I just saw it on UA-cam in 11 or 12 parts.
Nominated for best actress here

IT'S THE RHYTHM AND THE PACE OF HIS STYLE OF SINGING, THAT MAKES JACK JONES, QUITE A NATURALLY GREAT SINGER.
Wow! What a song!
there are not enough bells and banjos in this sad old world of today
The best of Jack Jones!
My favorite male singer!
a beautiful song from this wonderful film......one of Natalie Wood's greatest performances.....thank you so much for this lovely tribute to this much overlooked and forgotten film.....great pictures of Natalie & Steve McQueen
Natalie and Steve thank you forever for making this beautiful, touching movie. Love to you both,...... my favorites. Always bells and banjoes.
How lovely is this? beutiful music and so was the movie takes me back to when life was so much easier to live when we had time to smell the roses and going fast was 50 mph.
Elmer Bernstein and Johnny Mercer with Jack Jones three great talents.

Jack Jones is still happily alive
I love Jack Jones singing since in my elementary grades until now.Thank you Sir Tony for posting his song.
So beautiful, but truly a world away now, in 2012! Hard to believe how much the world (our world) has changed... The innocence is gone with the wind.
So true, Janet, and 7+ more years have passed since you wrote your comment. Where does time go so fast? And yes, the world has changed so much, and not all for the better either! I love how scientific technology has advanced, but one can't say the same for the mentality of many people!
dear janet its not gone just find someone to live it with
WONDERFUL SONG BY JACK..
JACK IS MARVELOUS.
HE IS ONE OF THE BEST EVER..
AND A CLASSY GUY..ON TOP OF IT..
MEGA TALENT JACK IS..
GLAD HE IS STILL AROUND..
Me too!!! He will be 85 in February!!! Still looks wonderful and still sings!!! I have his album he cut when he was 83, “ Every other day I have the blues “, and I listen to it all the time!!’ He may not have that fantastic voice he had when he was young, but he is still great!!!❤
She was the "ideal" actress and individual that love her family and was talented to boot. I was pregnant when I heard she passed away - my granddaughter name is Natalie!
Natalie and Steve together! Oh, be still my beating heart! 🌟 🌟 ♥️ ♥️
Truly one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever...
(Beautiful lady, talented man, Natalie and Steve, both gone now, hard to comprehend and accept; we miss them.) I love this song, the movie was sensational, and anything Jack Jones sings is so artistic and beautiful. And the videos are superb (thank you 65Seasons!).
Another Oscar-nominated song introduced by Jack Jones. The film was, indeed, one of Natalie and Steve's best, adapted from Tennessee Williams' only comedy.
Two BEAUTIFUL gone but not forgotten,.
more beautiful people gone forever......this cannot be real reality......their must be a better reality that never ends
Agreed! It is so difficult to see great artists disappear, into the heavens I suppose, but we miss them and they have NOT been replaced! I guess you can't duplicate talent like those of yesteryear. I could name so many who are gone now -- and we miss them!
R.I.P BOTH OF YOU!
Thanks Jack!!!
"Love With The Proper Stranger" was one of my favorite movies ! Natalie Wood was a beautiful woman ! This song is so nostalgic to me !!!!!
Sweet!
Lovely song.
A great song that is just a part of an equally great film .
Not sure but I do not think this great film has ever been
on television
Ohhh Natalie, I miss you, & Mr Jones, your voice was gorgeous, & we miss you too. Wolfsky9
Beautiful song from a first-rate, and underappreciated film. Oscar-worthy performances by both stars. I've looked for this on YT before. Thanks for posting.
Beautiful indeed... both the Movie and the Song.
They don't make them as then... anymore. Sigh...
I have the Movie in a factory produced VHS, an original LP and CD.

+Dom Minasi McQueen underplayed his part and thereby won over the audience as well...it payed to be a method actor as his career went interstellar after this.

Thank you so much for this! I've been wanting to hear the full version of this song (and I want the film to have an official DVD release).
Yes, I do agree with you, what I meant about 50 was my first motorcycle, a BSA bantam.it could do 50 down hill.steve Mc Queen is a legand to me.I was born in 51, I have owned and ridden these pommy bikes all through my youth, I could pull them down and rebuild them and get them cracking.Steve was at one time 11th best amature rider in the US,his mate Bud Edkins did the fence jump, Steve also was sterring the sidecar bike that was in pursuit,
Thanks for your kind comment... yes, i did the video/slideshow of photos from the internet (belonging to their rightful owners).
Natalie and Steve have gone now, I love them both hope they meet again in another world !🙏

6) THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM
7) WHAT ARE YOU DOING THE REST OF YOUR LIFE
8) WHAT NOW, MY LOVE

Many thanks for this. My favorite version of the song is the instrumental one at the beginning of the movie. This is great, too, though.
It's ridiculous that such a gem of a romance still isn't available on DVD.
My all time favorite romantic movie. Both actors give wonderful performances! Both gone far, far too soon. As for owning this great movie, Amazon Prime offers it to own for $9.99--0f course you have to belong to Prime to view the movie.
Did you catch "Mr. C" (Tom Bosley) from "Happy Days" in the movie? R.I.P. Mr. C. 5/2018
in the movie, same title, they cut the song mid way leaving you hanging the same way the song does in it's entirety. this could be a symphony. it goes on in my brain these past 50 years. respect all. rpc
this is the perfect song to dance,a new romance? lets dance bev hills or newport
@annalovesfilm They just don't make 'em like Natalie Wood anymore! I'm 30 and I just love this type of music. It's just so relaxing and romantic in the most noble and purest sense. Wish I had a De Lorean to go back in time!
The Paramount Music Corporation, an ASCAP publisher member ,published this song.
its 'only gone' if its gone from us; Today...now...i fell in love with a Chinese woman and we share these songs lyrics and know there is 'no time'....it brings us compfort and closer...isnt that what we really miss now...the one worth doing?
Natalie Wood is one of the most beautiful women on earth!
And a step up for steve mcqueen who also had great escape that year
there was a time in america and the world where there was real romance. see this flick and see.she and he...equals. rpc
Richard Condon
I heard this song from Beatles ed sullivan show, little part of it is in the intro.
My main man McQueen.
Where are you, I live in a little place, Coutts Crossing north NSW.my whole life has been a love of US 50s 60s cars, have owned and driven so many, also motorcycles are a passion, I can still ride fast, keep up with the younger guys if I feel like it, Brian...
I would love to have the sound track . It is very expensive as is the film
Natalie Wood is the epitome of class. Something that sorely lacks with many women today. Ladies if you want to meet the right guy, then take a que from Natalie Wood, Eva Gardner, Ingrid Bergman. Funny for all the talk by feminists today how women are no longer "weak" or not "victims" as they were in the past, Natalie Wood, Eva Gardner or women like Joan Crawford don't strike me as being weak. Quite the opposite, they had strength that most women today lack.
You forgot Audrey Hepburn.
DonDraperism Well, men would rather date a trashy woman than a classy women. If you reward bad behavior then it will continue. That goes for both genders. There are still women who have class but they get overlooked by guys who think sex and hotness are the only things that matter. So blame your own gender. Men aren't so innocent.
DonDraperism By the way, I keep seeing the same type of comments on these types of videos. Sexist dudes complaining that women don't look like Marilyn Monroe or Audrey Hepburn anymore. But I doubt these critics look like Cary Grant, Paul Newman or Gregory Peck. Guys want women to be the only ones held to beauty standards and 'moral behavior' standards. And a lot of feminists admire Ingrid Bergman, Katharine Hepburn, Bette Davis, Rosalind Russell, Barbra Stanwyck, Mae West and other actresses of the past so I don't know what the hell you're talking about.
