I just visited an anime convention a week ago and realized it's been almost a year since I made my last anime hairstyle tutorial.

Ever since that one, many of you have requested me to make more anime-inspired hairstyles so I did! :D These are adorable pigtails that I'd imagine myself wearing if I was an anime character. They're very easy to do, as you can tell!
I personally favor the 4th hairstyle (the high preppy pigtails). Which one is your favorite?
Have fun trying some of these hairstyles out, and if you're wondering where I got my dress, it was a gift from my aunt. I bought it for me while on her trip in Vietnam. I'm sure you can find someone similar online or just make one yourself. (:

I think it's annoying that people usually think "cute" like "sexy". No it's not 😗 cute is cute and sexy is sexy...
well you can combine the two.
also sometimes some people might find cute more "sexy" or attractive....just preference

Now i want long hair to wear long pigtails.... Tho i think it would look quite weird on me, tho i love pigtails so i would do it anyway.
You should definitely do it! I used to think I look weird in pigtails, but the more I wore them, the more they grew on me. (:

Thank you! Now I can finally do my hair in pigtails. I always thought it was too long for that. But the clips under the pony tails really makes it look good.

Thank you so much! I needed to know how to do that 'bumped' ponytail look for my cosplay! I ordered a wig and then realized I needed one for a ponytail. I didn't want the ponytail to look like just any other ponytail and have the very anime like fan/bump that ponytail clips also have. You are a live saver!

I think it's okay to be "cute" I mean. Girls often told me as a guy. I look "cute" it's okay for guys? but not for girls? I rather prefer the cute kind... and a bit bashful (not in the meaning that they are completely helpless little princesses) than someone going through your defenses like they didn't existed and entering your personal space without a care, lol. Wonder if im making any sense.
Lol you do. I'm a girl and i'm into kawaii things (fashion, makeup, hairstyles, etc.) I just don't wear the clothing that often since there's a lot of judgmental people out there >_>

oh well. i wish people could care less and be themselves more.. It's like, eveyone wants to be different but nobody dares to, so instead everyone does the same thing as everyone else.
***** Oh believe me, I am different from everyone. I'm alternative (meaning I like rock music and dress in alternative/goth fashion). I've been judged even before I got into it, so I don't really care that much. However, my confidence in the way I dress still isn't all the way there yet, but i'm working on it :)

my hair is so damn straight and curls wont stay in it no matter what I do..goosh those hairs are lovely but I sadly cant do them..it was a good video tho
+SuperHappydoggy If your hair is stubborn in holding curls, I'd recommend trying a curling wand! My curls usually last for nearly a week with a good curling wand. :D

Yeah. It minimizes the heat damage, but if you use your heat tools often, your ends will eventually get dry and split.
I wonder is it possible to have bangs like anime girls.. especially asuna from sao and misaki from maid sama o.o

It is probably possible if you asked for one at the hairdressers although you would probably need to use wax or hair moose..

Aha they got looser towards the end of the video though xD But yeah, I was actually amazed my hair didn't go straight again, considering I didn't use any hairspray or anything!
i always see tutorials on how to downwards curl hair,but they all seemed the same.i think that yours though,looks very unique and fitting for your style.and the highlights make it glow.
I waited patiently for 2.5 years! Patience is the key, my friend ^^;
If you have naturally curly hair, I'd definitely recommend you trying some of my braid or messy bun hairstyles! :)

They're strands that you weave/sew/glue/clip into your hair. They're usually called hair bling, or something like that :) You can generally get them at sally's or online (amazon, ebay, ect)
Another way to get hairstyle four is to divide your ponytail in half at the base and pull the hair up through the hole. That should make it fan out as well :)

It should look more voluminous at the top, but if you really layer it, it should be much thinner at the bottom!
I don't really have any secret or miracle home remedies, but I'll certainly make a hair care routine to show you what products I use :D What really helped my hair grow was definitely time and patience though!

I love the fourth one, the other way I do it that reminds of is just take the top section n both sides of your part and make them into pig tails if you don't want to put all your hair up in pigtails

Hm, maybe you should try to bump up the heat setting on your heat tool and apply heat protectant beforehand? You can also use hairspray afterward to lock in the curls :)

You can get them at Claire's or Forever 21 :) If not, you can also buy them online too at eBay. :)

I used the low pigtail bun hairstyle when I workout because it feels less heavy and bouncy on my head than a ponytail.
