First glance of the title i thought it was "No rest for the Steam deck" haha
With the highest settings, it’s mid 40s on a 3070 with 5800X3D. In quality, it’s barely 60. With a G-Sync monitor smoothing out the variance. It plays well, look great and enemy encounters are immersive. The Initial is contained, but as you explore you find more. Reaching and finding places can be a hunt, but this to me is not a bad thing. Needs DLSS sooner rather than later to aid with performance and improve over the current scaling but I think they have a way to go to deliver good results on average machines. Started playing on a steamdeck but switched to PC as it’s almost unplayable at this stage. With some text and item menu scaling adjustments, it would be a great handheld game too but I suspect they’ll need to drop a bucket load of current effects.

@@jaeyongsoosan The co-founder of the studio said they're specifically targeting handhelds to boost performance, which includes the Deck although they don't really seem to support Linux officially, at least not yet.

100%, I've read so many stupid comments. The SD isn't built for games like this.... The SD was never meant to be used for Triple A games… Played through the following: Cyberpunk + Phantom Liberty, GTA IV/V, Dark Souls 1-3, Elden Ring, Sekiro, Remnant from the ashes, Doom Eternal, The division 2 (flawless), Jedi Fallen Order, Fallout 4, MGS V, Monster Hunter World, Resident Evil V, Wo Long, Nioh, Hitman 1-3 (flawless), RDR2 (Near Perfection), Metro Exodus, MK11 (wow), The Witcher 3, Grounded, Dishonored 2… All run well. The ones I’d call spectacular would be: Hitman 1-3, Division 2, RDR2, DS1-3, Sekiro, Elden Ring (these are near perfect). The only ones I haven’t been able to play are Starfield (sucks anyways), Remant II ☹, and Returnal ☹ ☹, other than that more than 90% of my steam games run on deck.
FYI, I didn't beat every game I called out, but they all ran well.

I have to cap the fps on my main pc it's stutters to much uncapped.
In the beginning it's not that bad, but once you reach the town of Sacrament. Maaan, it's so bad there.

They need to stop the crashes on the deck. One had mine shutdown completely.
After that add FSR 2 and it will be golden.
this game crashes on me twice on y steam deck oled so i had to return the game and get my money back the game right now is unplayable
Why add fsr2 when they should add fsr3 or even 3.1 that would make more sense
I read somewhere that FSR 3 is not effective or can't be implemented properly, something like that.
Does docking the steam deck with a 60 hz monitor effect performance. Because i feel games run worse while docked ?
As long as you keep the resolution the same, performance should be identical

@SantiagoSantiago or for instance I launch a game on default resolution, or change the resolution in the games properties before I launch it, and sorry I'm a bit new too the whole steam deck stuff
Yes, do that, then in-game make sure you chose either 1280x800 or 1280x720

This game hard crashed my Deck OLED the first time I opened it lol
this game looks like a "steam deck verified" , if could be hits the 60s fps i'd be amazing
I could not make it stable 30fps even with 600p fsr on. Sometimes it's still go down to 1 fps.

There's a reason this game is in Early Access. It'll improve over time and should definitely be in a good spot when it officially releases.
I had to uninstall NR cuz it kept crashing, the game is good when you runs tho

There should be at least 60 fps. It's a perfect fit for steam deck game. I hope they optimize it because it's unacceptable how it runs, especially that it's nothing special in terms of graphics.
You have got to be kidding me. It’s doing some excellent things on the graphical side. You are dreaming if you think 60fps is ever achievable here in steam deck. If they can ever manage a locked 30fps that would be great.
They hopefully will implement FSR which would do wonders
This literally looks like Arcane the Netflix show in terms of graphics. Just because it's not realistic doesn't mean it's not doing graphically intensive things.

@@kiba488 I’m a Steam Deck fan and I don’t get mad. It’s an amazing machine but I don’t expect to be able to play every game on it. That’s not what I bought it for. There is a back catalogue of over a hundred games on my wish list that it will take me about 5 years to work through that play superbly on the Steamdeck and are much better to suited to portable handheld experiences imo.
Runs terribly in its current form. I refunded it.
No doubt itll get better i just didnt expect it to look and run so poorly.

I meant within the video when you’re talking about settings. A lot of people go straight to watching the video, rather than reading whats in the description. Just a pointer thats all.
I run it with the default proton version.
The game can run at Balanced, exclusive fullscreen, HDR on, 80% resolution at 27-35fps outside of town at least. They have also added a camera zoom slider that helps when playing on the deck as you can now see the ememy movement better.
I really enjoy it but it still crashes a lot.
There is a reason it's early access.

Same case as Dragon Dogma 2. It's starting to get very obsolete.
Also another poorly optimized game. If the game runs terrible across the board on all PCs then of course it’s not going to run well on the steam deck.
