Thank you for coming out and supporting us A’s fans. We appreciate you for coming out. It was great seeing you and talking to you again. Hopefully I can see you in Tampa for a Rays game soon.
As a lifelong browns fan I understand what it’s like to have a 💩 owner.
Have you checked to see if there is anything in the state law that might require a sale? Columbus Crew dealt with this a few years ago. There was an obscure state law that required a team in a tax supported stadium to be offered for sale for 6 months before relocation. Nobody was aware of this at the time. Ended up forcing a sale and saving the club. I know nothing about California law, but it really would be worth looking into.
The As fans from Oakland are the best fans. I live meeting up with them in Mesa for spring training. Cool cats
Good luck with that! Sports are a business and nothing else. That's the reason I stopped watching a couple of years before the plandemic. They don't care about current fans because people are mindless and they will go in the new city LV becuase all people care about is entertainment. Look at the name of these stadiums. They are all named after banks. The entertaining part to me is wathcing a bunch of drunk overweight people cheer for atheltic people that make more money in a year (to act) than they do in their whole life. It's quite sad if I'm being honest.
Congrats on 5k bro ! Hope he sells . I thought I had it bad with Bob Nutting as a Pirates Fan but Fisher Sucks.
Unbelievable! I can't believe Adam drove all the way up to Oakland and back! I'm so glad he covered this, what a kickass baller move dude, heck yeah! 👍
Yea I felt I needed to be there
@@TheDailyWoo What time did you finally get back?
I met someone who flew in from Canada
As the grandson of former Oakland A’S announcer Roy Steele it’s a shame what’s happen to the team. I have fond memories of going to the games as kids during the bash bro era Listening to my grandpa announce the game. The Oakland organization was good to my grandpa for many years.
Roy Steele was a terrific stadium announcer - had Gumby as a sidekick at his microphone, so I remember - and a spectacular view of the Oakland Hills before the sinister Mount Davis got in the way (literally and figuratively)!
By the way, do you announce at all? Go A’s! Let’s Go Oakland!
DAMNIT! I was hoping I would run into you because I am working on a mini documentary about yesterdays game and wanted to interview you. In anycase I am SO glad you got to see a REAL Oakland A's game. Last night is what we are all about, pure fan excitement, drums, and fun!...not so much throwing garbage at the end, we don't do that but given the circumstances regarding the team ownership fans were beyond pissed. Thank you so much for stopping by and for posting about the protest before the game!
Unfortunately fans don't get to choose who owns their teams. Owners who sell and buy teams do. Demonizing the owner doesn't win any brownie points with the MLB. It is what it is...
As a Padres fan I had planned to go to the game to support but couldn’t make it. Knowing how it feels to have a crappy owner who wants to move their professional sports team out of your city is absolutely the worse feeling as a fan… 😢
California knows that all to well.
Padres are going down against the Rays
@@bonniere8995If you take some really good crack then yeah
Crappy owner? More like crappy San Diego fans who voted down a new stadium. It's YOUR fault not Dean Spanos.
@@sjdrifter72 It’s far more than that kid. Sounds like you just read a USA Today article than understanding the truth. But you go ahead and continue reading headlines instead of the fine print. 🤣
Hey Mr.Woo, the seats stored in the parking lot were used when they would convert the Coliseum to a football stadium for the Raiders. Thank you for the awesome video.
Right! They were some of the seats where the bleachers are in the coliseum and some of those seats actually cover foul territory, too. Sometimes they would even leave the infield dirt during preseason games when the raiders were in town.
Adam thank you for going out of your way to attend this event. As a lifelong A's fan what John Fisher and Dave Kaval are doing is criminal. Can't believe you drove all that distance in one day. Stronger man than I.
Well said!
ROLLING the MLB and the A's for a three year lease extension at the Coliseum for $90 million is CRIMINAL... Burning bridges does not win you brownie points landing a MLB or MiLB expansion team in the near future... See you later alligator (implying NEVER)...
As a big baseball fan I want to thank you for sharing so many amazing baseball videos. I do enjoy all of your videos. Keep up the great work.
No problem . I enjoy doing them
Being at the game last night as an A’s fan, it was truly electric and very euphoric cheering with all the fans and supporters who want to see a positive change to keep the A’s. Let’s go Oakland!
Nevada already approved 350 million to help build the A’s stadium in Vegas. They are gone blame your city council members and mayor
@@B1onicelbow420There’s a very emotional last push happening in Oakland. Unfortunately it’s too little, too late. It really needed to happen ten years ago.
@@jonathanrice1070 On the very day Fisher bought the A's he was looking for a new stadium... Unfortunately Oakland never got the message...
Thank you for shedding light on this! I was there last night and the energy was incredible!
Energy was Thru the roof
Where were the fans during the previous games this season? Last season? If you don't support the team in numbers, the team will RELOCATE to greener pastures...
Thank you Adam, this was interesting to see. I feel for the fans, they deserve better. Imagine the Rays moving to Vegas. I have alot of respect for the A's. I'm a Dodger fan and when I think of the A's I remember that memorable World Series, when Gibson hit that home run. Oakland deserves so much better. 😐
The fans deserve what they get for being stupid enough to support a team whose owner just wanted to pocket the revenue sharing money rather than spend the money to build a competitive team
And I recall when the Dodgers called Brooklyn home...
Dodgers fan here but I really feel bad for the fans in Oakland. It’s a shame that a such historic team will leave the town where it belongs. Thanks Adam for covering this event.
are you really though? at some point you have to ask yourself why have 2 teams left your city within the last few years? its the fans fault, at the end of the day, teams move to where they would be valued. oakland has no one to blame for themleves and as predicted, NOW all of a sudden they care. give me a break
@@DanRustlefans can only endure so much cheapness and a shitty stadium in a shitty area for so long
@@DanRustle yeah, its the fans fault that the team constantly gets rid of all their good players every single time the team becomes half decent. It's also the fans fault that the owner doesn't invest in the team. When individual players on other teams make close to the entire payroll of the A's, you can't really blame the fans for not wanting to watch
every team havs private owner that s mistake
It will be the third time they have moved as a franchise. The only history is no city wanting to keep them.
This is awesome. I’m glad you were able to go, Adam! I remember going on a 4th grade field trip to this stadium. As a Giants fan, it pains me to see what’s happening with the team on the other side of the bay. Sad that we won’t see another “battle of the bay” when they leave.
Great job documenting the game! I was there on the third base side last night, such a unique experience for sure! Got chills when the crowd went silent then into the loudest synchronized chant imaginable. So good.
Thank you Adam for your support. I’ve been a fan since 1972
Very Sad😢😢😢
People forget how a lousy owner can just uproot and move your beloved team
As a Giants fans I can totally relate to how it feels to have your team almost ripped out of your city. I mean they were almost the Tampa Bay Giants. Nothing but love and support for the True A’s fans out there.
On another note Adam you are the ultimate Iron man Sir ! Well done well done . Loving this return to Cali vlog series.
The A’s also offered the territory rights to San Jose the giants for free back in the day. So when the giants blocked the A’s trying to move to San Jose, some of us fans took it as disrespect.
Last minute baseball road trip within a trip. Love it! Thanks for documenting this for us.
No problem

I have no care one way or the other if the As move, but there's always something about crowds showing up, chanting, trying to start a thing, and showing their support - especially for a positive cause - that always gets me a little choked up. That unity of the underdogs still trying to keep this thing alive is really great to see. I've seen documentaries about the Dodgers, my home team, when they left Brooklyn - and one thing they always point out is the loyalty of the old fans. This right here is very reminiscent of that and it must hurt even more since Oakland has already lost their 2 other teams so recently. I don't know how I want this thing to end up, but you can't say that the Oakland fans don't still have some fight in them.
This was by far my favorite vlog ever! Thank you so much for showing up and supporting the A's! That was a super far drive both ways so not easy to do. I grew up going to A's games and this vlog was actually kinda emotional to watch. You're the best, thanks again for covering that!
I enjoyed doing it
I was living in Seattle when the former CEO of Starbucks sold the Seattle Sonics and the team was moved to Oaklahoma. People are still devastated and upset. I hope the people in Oakland don't lose their team!!! My grandpa was a huge fan of the A's. I have fond memories of watching games with him. He loved Ricky Henderson. Great video!
All the greats back then
I'm not through watching yet but I want to thank you for putting together a great portrayal of the event. That transition from silence to chanting "sell the team" in the fifth inning was only halfway planned and I think it's going to go down as one of the few times in baseball history that a game was actually interrupted by the chanting of the crowd.
Thank you Adam for documenting this. I grew up in the bay area and always root for the eyes. I now live in Las Vegas and although I would love to have my team in my new hometown, I want them to stay in Oakland because that’s where they belong.
The A's belong in Philadelphia. Not one of the Oakland A's fans showed any empathy towards stealing the A's from Kansas City. Not one of the Oakland A's fans showed any empathy towards any of the minor league fans who lost their teams in the past. Not one! What goes around comes around. It is a dog eat dog world out there, sorry you got eaten...
As a born Oakland Athletics fan for 38 years thank you for showing some light on us we've been under a horrible ownership for about 20 years now and it's only gotten to this point. If any MLB fan is out there and supports us in our movement please retweet anything you see at MLB takes 5 minutes holding hope for the owners to block this move, and the and anti trust laws kick in against them. Holding hope. You the man Adam!
Sorry your team lost but thank you so much for the support. You nailed the video.
This was awesome man, thanks for documenting this for posterity! I'm a Giants fan myself, born and raised, but I have lots of respect for the A's fans for putting this together and taking a stand for their team! Hope they stay in the bay so we can have another "battle of the bay" in the future! ⚾
Really appreciate your energy and commitment to do this! Thanks for the support.
THANK YOU! As a lifelong A’s fan and a long-time Woo fan, I LOVE that you did this, just wish you asked my mom first.
Thank you for coming out and sharing our story Adam! We A’s fans are really hurting right now but last night was all time
Thanks Woo, great footage as always. A’s attendance used to be in top 5! Playoff games at the Coliseum were LIT!
Well that is definitely dedication to document something driving that far round trip. Looks like the A’s fans really appreciated you documenting this for them and putting it out there. They definitely go their voice heard. I don’t know if it will work or not but they at least tried. Part of me was wondering why you didn’t just give up the night in Hollywood and just stay somewhere else so you didn’t need to do all of that driving in one day, but I guess you had your reasons.
Thanks for joining us at the Coliseum and being so respectful. As an A's fan it was a bittersweet day, it might of been my last one, I'm done with mlb after they leave. Thank you A's for a the great memories throughout my life.
A's ownership should absolutely be ashamed of themselves, I feel for the loyal A's fans. Great video as always Adam.
There's only about 2,000 loyal A's fans. 😂
@@APT420That's not true. The owner has been driving the franchise into the ground on purpose to make the move to Las Vegas happen.
Nevada already voted to provide funding for a new stadium.
Oakland had YEARS to do the same and haven't.
The blame is with local government. They suck.
@@TheBandit7613 That is a very fair point, but all these MLB teams are making literal record amounts of profit (that has nothing to do with arses in the seats) and the way these owners have been handling the A's, is absolutely ridiculous. I despise our ownership here in Detroit because they say they want to win and the "biggest star" on our team is Javier Baez (who couldnt hit his way out of a wet paper bag) and yet they still refuse to spend, even a little.
@@Sparty-pi3jq I think once the owners get the idea (move the team) in their head, it's over. They will do whatever it takes including sabotaging their own team. The A's have been sniffing around here (Vegas) for years.
I heard the move was a done deal a year ago. The whole league was in on it. Just like the NFL and the Raiders. The NFL wanted the Raiders to leave Oakland.
I think there are things behind the scenes that go on that we know nothing about.
Definitely one of those videos that speaks for itself. Just record whats around you and it naturally unfolds for you. One of your best videos adam
Saw you on gamer_athletics video a few days ago and had to stop, rewind, and tell my wife that sure looks like Adam the Woo (but thought, nahhh). I haven't been keeping up with you lately, used to watch every day while I ate my lunch, but got away from it. Stumbled on this video and it was you. Very cool!
THAT was amazing. Kudos to whomever put the owner's face in the urinals. Genius.
I'm a Mariner's fan. Years ago we almost lost our team. A group wanted to move the Mariner's to Florida. (Ironic I guess.). Seattle fans got lucky and it never happened. We did lose our basketball team though. I feel terrible for the Oakland A's fans. The greed of MLB ownership knows no bounds.
And, OHHH. You are a beast! You did the LA to SF Drive r/t in ONE day?! That’s nuts. Glad you made it safely.
Wow, Adam! This was amazing! So happy to be with you on this journey! So glad you made it safely, and we didn’t have to wonder if you were alright! Have a good rest!
Thanks Adam for vlogging this game between the A's vs Rays. Wow didn't know it got so noisy there in Oakland to try to keep their baseball team. SF Giants fan here.
Adam, thanks for doing this video. Shows the Bay Area passion for our local sports teams !
This was awesome! I’m so glad that you went and documented this event. It just makes me really love people and how sports really brings us together.
Thanks, Adam, for the A's coverage. You captured an emotional situation of the fans trying to keep them in Oakland. Very nice job. Unfortunately, I think the fan's effort is simply an exercise in futility.
If you think the point was to actually stop the a's from moving, you missed the point. The point was to show that the fans could be there in numbers, and would do so on a regular basis if the owners kept good players and built a new stadium on the same site. It was also a catharsis for a's fans to comfort each other in these hard times.
I absolutely loved this vlog! Thanks Adam for making the drive in order to attend and share this piece of baseball history with us! I tip my Anaheim Angels ball cap and commend you, sir.
Ahahah I love how you made mention of the blue hair on the fencing gate there 😂. Remnants heheh. Those fans were getting rowdy 😮
I can’t believe you did that drive!! I have family that live in the Bay Area I didn’t know about this A’s story. Thanks for the video.
Thank you for documenting this event.
I do feel for the A's and I have this deep dread that this will be happening to the Devil Rays soon. Now I know what the atmosphere must have been like in Milwaukee when they moved the Braves. We Brewers fans feel the same way about our ownership! A's fans, I do feel for you as the deal to go to Vegas is all but done.
Adam, thanks for taking us along on your impromptu trip! This was a must for anyone who loves this game!
Last thing, the sign at 18:14 was spot on, "Manfred Hates Baseball! THAT SOB needs to go too!!! #FireManfred
That was Wild, but unfortunately all that noise is falling on deaf ears. Thanks Adam your dedication is appreciated! 👍🏼
Thank you for all the baseball videos! I watched the A's game sounded crazy there but the ownership deserve the heat. They treated the fans and team like trash. Always trading away good player's. Plus jacking up all the prices.
Nevada already voted to provide funding for a new stadium.
Oakland had YEARS to do the same and haven't.
The blame is with your local government. They suck.
@@TheBandit7613 Oakland secured about 300 million in public funds for the project, and a bigger site. I don't know why ownership prefers vegas, when Oakland offered them nearly as much public money and were close to a deal. The blame is with billionaires who expect taxpayers to pay for their private business expenses. They are the ones who suck.
I saw you, but didn’t want to bother you. Happy you got to experience the game. It was electric and brought to chills to me as a Die Hard fan. I was very embarrassed and disappointed in people throwing trash. It put a stink on a magical night.
This was so much fun to watch for us as baseball fans! Thanks for sharing, Adam.
This was a great documentary on this game. This game is a historic one! You documented it well Adam, great job because it would go unnoticed if you didn’t cover it the way you did! Great video Adam! We support Oakland in Fort Lauderdale FL!
The guy with the banjo is Crazy George. He started out with a tambourine and went to a banjo. He’s an Oakland sports icon! Heck, we had a streaker one time on the field in the 70’s. Between the Owner of the team and the city council and the Mayor they don’t want to renovate the Coliseum or build a new stadium. The Mayor and city council wants the owners to pay for the major of either. And, charge large amounts to the owners.
Thanks for showing us love, from Stomper and his Guard 🙏🏼
11:15 - The guy taking a picture in the background, over the interviewee's left shoulder, is Michael Zagaris. He's the team's photographer, but also a lot more than that, his body of work of many decades is nothing short of amazing. Not only classic sport images of bay area teams, Walsh and Montana of the 49ers, but he documented the rock and roll scene of the 1960s and 70s. Some of the most iconic music, concert images are ones he has captured. Worth a deep dive into his work.
Such a cool note, thanks for pointing that out
the Zag just had a book of his photos published last year!
The first recorded Wave occurred in Oakland at an Athletics' playoff game against the New York Yankees on Oct. 15, 1981.
It was organized and led by professional cheerleader Krazy George Henderson and was seen by a national TV audience and captured on film.... Crazy George Henderson is now 79 years old . ..../ In the U.K. and the rest of the world The Wave is called the "Mexican Wave" because viewers across the globe first noticed it in televised games of the 1986 World Cup from Mexico. .... /
I was hoping you came up for this! Thank you for documenting it for us.
Adam... how cool that you got to see this game in real life. Awesome vlog as always. Hopefully we'll run into you at the Trop sometime this season. Go Rays! 🙂
Dang bro that’s a long impulse drive! My hats off to you. The fuel station you stopped at in Kettleman city is always inflated gas price. If you go a little more down the road it’s significantly less. Just a FYI for next time. Also if you ever want or need an emergency crash pad I live in Fresno and you’re more than welcome to stop in bro.
Nice to see you come up from Southern California. I watch your channel all the time I live in the East Bay but am a Diehard Giant's Fan but love the game of baseball it is sad what the A's ownership is doing the team .thank you for supporting the team
Diehard Giants fan as well. What the A’s owner is doing is wrong. Giants almost went to Tampa Bay before McGowan and Baer kept the Giants in San Francisco.
I travel a lot for work, and spent a lot of time in San Francisco in 2009. I went to a couple of A's games when I was there. Easy trip on the BART from my hotel to the Colosseum and it was $5 tickets. I had fun at the games, and I still wear the A's cap I got there. Moving teams to tourist spots will become more common. The owners get to charge more for tickets. They don't care about the fans, it's only about the money, and that's sad.
Oakland wound up editing out the fans signs from their telecast and MLB corrected it
Your video brought back some memories of going to A’s games years ago with my dad. I hate to see them leave.
The first sign of corporate GREED was when they allowed corporations to put their name on the stadiums! If they want to do that, then they should PAY TO BUILD IT!!!
I have mixed feelings about the A's leaving. They are a historic franchise, that belonged to a historic sports city for so long. But they also held the coliseum site hostage for over a decade. When the Raiders wanted to build a new stadium at that site, the A's suckered the city into a new lease that made that effort impossible. All the while, even back then, they had no intentions of building a new stadium or staying in Oakland. I feel awful for the fans, but I hope the owners continue to suffer with low attendance when they do move to vegas.
A historic city? Since when was Oakland a historic city? Are you on drugs?
As a STL Rams fan I can really empathize with A’s fans. Owners like Fisher and Kroenke don’t care about the fans. It’s all about the money and new stadium revenue. My heart goes out to ya Oakland after losing my team. Unfortunately there is nothing to change their minds. So glad you had the chance to speak your mind

I can't wait the A's to get here. So great that Vegas has become a sports town.
It would have been a lot better if the A's stayed in Oakland and Las Vegas got a brand new team, like the Vegas Golden Nights with the NHL.

this was a great video!!!! spontaneous and crazy. glad you did it!!!
Ahh man wish I ran into you at the ballpark!! Thanks for supporting on this wild night.
that’s for doing this adam, very cool, i think those seats in the parking lot are from the football days where they would add them to the field for the raiders games… been a few years since they have been used.
As a Dodgers fan, I remember ownership during the Frank McCourt era. Guy was in so much debt and he leveraged the parking lot revenue to fund his lifestyle while the team suffered. In Oakland the owner was reverse Moneyball - trading away the best players for inexpensive prospects to save payroll. Disgusting indeed!
at 8:40--- those aren't "upper deck seats," they're the old on-field seats that were used for Raiders only (when field switched from diamond to rectangle) shape. Now ya know.

I know that drive very very well. Been to the Bay Area and those rest stops about a dozen times over the past year for a quick turn around just like your trip!

Adam. Thanks for coming out to the colosseum. You were right in my back yard! The A’s are an institution for the Bay Area and we have already lost the Raiders so this will be a terrible blow to us to lose them too.
What a great video! Even though I live in Detroit I'm a huge baseball fan and I think Athletics fans are GREAT and I feel so bad for how these great fans are being treated by the powers that be with the A's and I hope somehow the team stays in Oakland and they can get a new stadium. Thank you for doing this video because I'm behind the A's fans and I couldn't go to Oakland for this game but I was able to show my support by watching the video and commenting on this. Good luck Oakland fans I'm rooting for yall from Detroit!

Thanks for taking us. What fun! Happy for the A's. I really feel bad for the Oakland fans losing everything. Glad they had a good last game ❤
Good ol Solvang. Always a good stop on the drive between NorCal and SoCal. Hope you had a safe drive back
As a lifelong SF Giants fan, I do not want to see the A’s leave the Bay Area (or California). Giants fans have been through this twice. Once in the 70’s when the previous ownership (Horace Stoneham) was going to sell the team to a group that would have moved the Giants to Toronto (Toronto Giants? Don’t like the sound of that). Former SF mayor Mascone asked Bob Lurie to buy the team (he did). Then 2 decades later, Lurie wanted to sell the team and he was going to sell them to a Tampa businessman (so they can move to Tampa Bay). However, Safeway chairman Peter Magowan decided to form an ownership group (with Larry Baer) to buy the team for $100 million dollars. Giants stayed and built their current park (Oracle Park) in the heart of San Francisco.
Not only would seeing the A’s leave the Bay Area be a blow to fans, but it would hurt the Bay Area immensely. Now if they wanted to move to Sacramento, I would have no problem with that (even though the A’s should stay in Oakland).
This whole entire event was wild to see.
Thank you for documenting this, Adam. As a baseball fan, I appreciate it. 👍🏻⚾️
I loved this video!!! Thanks for going and filming it for us!!!
Saw in in Gamer Athletics video of this event!!
As a Giants fan, it sucks whats going on with the A’s.

Thanks for documenting this event! I have been an A’s fan ever since I was a kid and I have never been so disappointed with the management I hate to do this to the team but I have been boycotting this year because of the move. This is not cool but I wish I went to this event Tuesday. I lived in the area my whole life and I wish they could find a way to keep the A’s in Oakland. It’s cool you drove over 300 miles to this event. You are the man! I like watching your videos.
Thank you for documenting this incredible day in baseball history. Whether it pays off or not, I’m hopeful for the Oakland faithful. It’s unfortunate that this ownership has pocketed more money than they’ve invested in this organization.
