Unfortunately the conservative/rightwing political leadership of Hungary are still classic, oldschool boomer Feminists. However, tax plans for mothers help ethnic Hungarian mothers and ethnic Hungarian families, as opposed to Gypsy families. Because Hungarians work while Gypsies don't. so, it's a geniously "Racist" policy that can't be attacked by the Liberal-Bolsheviks. In the past, it was Government cash handouts after the number of kids, and that helped the Gypsies to outbreed ethnic Hungarians, and the Progressive Left loved that.

Remove ALL incentives for women to divorce their husbands. No alimony. No child support. Men can freely abandon their children at any time with ZERO legal consequence. I would like to clear up that drugs aren't legal in Portugal. Drug consumption is illegal, but decriminalised. In basic terms, selling drugs is illegal and you could go to prison, having drugs on you above a certain limit is illegal and you could go to prison, USING drugs (or having a personal consumption amount on you) is illegal - most likely will be confiscated - but it's not a crime. If you are caught with drugs several times you will be mandated by a judge to attend a public rehab progam.

My opinion of Jimmy is pretty low, but I was fairly pleased to hear more of who he is and what his opinions are in a long form interview. We all know him as a ‘shock jock’ type comedian and not much else, so listening to him speak very much in moderation and from a semi-philosophical point of view was great.
Obviously I don’t agree with him on everything, e.g. his idea about “free energy” via nuclear reactors in every town. Whilst I think this has the makings of a reasonably good idea in principle, as it would make us energy independent with reliable (base load) power sources, it could never be free, because there’s still operating & maintenance costs to both the reactors and energy network. Whilst I appreciate this idea isn’t ‘fully formed’, it does feel like a huge oversight on his part, making me question how deeply he has thought through other ideas.

As soon as he started talking about London, saying how great it is, he lost me.
We are not all the children of immigrants, nor are we surrounded by high agency individuals purposefully pursuing their life goals. It is not a melting pot, it is series of ghettos with very little integration and very little social cohesion. Mostly London is a range of separate identities and separate ethnic groups, following entirely separate agendas, competing against each other for a shrinking pool of resources and services, treating each other with distrust, hostility and resentment.
Try being part of a traditional white working class community, who have lived in a certain area for generations, being squeezed out of your own neighbourhood by a combination of gentrification and mass immigration, shopping at local shops where you are served by people who can't talk English, who no longer sell the products you want, where you are treated with suspicion and sometimes outright hostility because of your race, religion or ethnicity.
Try holding on to your traditional cultural values when, not only the people surrounding you don't share them, but they are being denigrated in local schools, by local councils, by the media and the broader community. Try spending some time in any average London Secondary School. Try getting a council flat. Try finding a fair rent. Try buying a house. Try having your home regulalrly burgled, or your bike stolen, or your car broken into, knowing that the police will do nothing. Try finding someone who is prepared to be a witness when a crimes occurs, even in broad daylight. Try walking around at night when you are constantly at risk of being mugged, having to avoid gang related drug and knife crime, random violent attacks, imported ethnic conflicts, two tier policing and anti white racism. Try objecting to a Palestinian or Rainbow flag being strung up outside your house. Try complaining about your Nigerian neighbours' anti-social behaviour to your Nigerian local council housing officer. Try driving around London regularly, trying to avoid all the parking restrictions, bus lanes, cycle lanes and traffic flow restrictions. Try to avoid getting a parking ticket or an extortionate Transport for London driving fine Try objecting to Ramadam and Eid being observed and celebrated, to the exclusion of Easter, in your work place. Try asking for help if you are elderly or disabled. Try getting an appointment with your local dentist or GP. Try getting a place for your kid at the only decent school in your neighbourhood.
Just try asking for directions and you'll see the social disconnect that currently exists in London: no one knows the city beyond their own ghetto, no one speaks the language properly, no one knows the social history of their own area and no one wants to help a stranger, even if they can.
Try riding on the tube or catching a bus late at night. Try talking to a stranger in a shop or in a neighbourhood you do not know. Try avoiding the needles and the homeless drunks and junkies when you go to your local park. Try finding a swimming pool, library or local pub that is still open.
Talk about luxury values; he hasn't got a clue. London is great when you are millionaire celebrity Jimmy Carr, not so great for everyone else.

I agree with the principle since it continues to be the wealthy and most prepared people, the most unwilling to have more kids.
It shouldn't go all the way down to 0% ever, but even half off income tax is a huge incentive.

Here's a thought... if you can't explain a phenomenon, then there's about a zero percent chance you'll solve the problem associated with it. That goes for everything Jimmy Carr says, he's a walking example that comedians shouldn't necessarily have opinions about everything else. Take cannabis for example, Carr mentions that it is a performance inhibiting drug. Now, explain to me why millions of people would want to take a performance inhibiting drug on a daily or weekly basis. I have a answer Carr, but if you don't know, then there's no reason to listen to your opinion, is there? So, I know it is performance inhibiting, and I know millions of people take it, these are the facts of the matter...the question is why? The same applies to all anti-social activities.

I thought the Hungary income tax plan was for families and not single women. Why do we want to give women more money anyway? They earn less, but that is earnings. Don't give them money for free. They already spend the vast majority, so even when earning less, they're spending men's money, and they get the majority of benefit of public spending too. Also, yes, the cost may well be a lot. But is there any evidence such a tax plan actually increases the birth rate anyway? Other policies have little impact on birth rates, so not sure this would either.

The problem with this idea is, the left is already importing people with 4+ kids who live here for free despite never having paid anything or contributed in any way to the social system. The idea itself of paying less in income tax for instance if you are having kids may work but then again probably the "wrong" people will procreate. It´s a slippery slope.
In general the idea here is, women who have kids should be somehow financially be compensated for the loss of their work. We should have this discussion in the first place. It´s not the worst thing to have a little less people in a world with soon to be 10 billion of us. I am not saying it´s good either, the question is where is the equilibriium ? And isn´t it a personal decision to have or not to have kids ? Also what do we do with all these women who can´t have kids despite wanted them. Are they just out of luck ? It´s not a 10 sec. debate. SHould we not encourage families instead of just single mothers as well ?

    4 children, and no taxes?
Sounds familiar to a European country in the 1930's; it would give a low interest home loan to families. Every kid knocked 25% off the house. 4 kids and the house was yours, free and done.
    The country? Germany.

Why does that matter? Isn't the merit of the policy more important than its source? If an idea is objectively good, does it matter if it came from an evil individual? Moustache Man supported fox-hunting bans and industrial-scale genocide. It's entirely possible to say the first is a good policy and the second is a monstrous one. What are you implying exactly? Do we have to take an ideology whole-sale all of the time? We can't separate the wheat from the chaff? Do we have to thank an evil dictator for getting one or two things right whilst causing the suffering of millions?
