@@bixbycroI'm not sure how the plaintiff was sketchy. The defendant asked plaintiff for a $3000 loan in which he loaned her the $3000. However, the defendant never paid it back and tried to argue she provided a service and charged him $3000. She changed her story. She was the sketchy one. It was a loan. Period.
I’m like two seconds in and defendant is guilty. “A broker.” You mean some weird, loanshark scam? I don’t know how people get into these sketchy situations and think they’re gonna win 😑
The Defendant got scammed and was trying to scam the Plaintiff's in turn. Her loan suddenly turned into "payment for services" without the Plaintiff's knowledge or consent. I feel there's a lot more going on here than meets the eye. Good ruling.
JJ: I asked if she would lend me $3000. That's what you wrote. Defendant: Right JJ: And she said she would, so she gave you $3000. Defendant: She gave me $3000 in exchange for a service. Seriously?????????? How do people just lie like that?
Defendant knew what she was doing, borrowing money and did not pay back and decided she was doing a side service for the loan she knew she had to pay back.
Totally agree. There were nuances to this case that were not addressed, and if it had gone to a higher court, perhaps those things would have come to light and allowed the defendants to be able to go after the company that charged them. I have a feeling that this one was judged wrongly. Love JJ, but she's not always right.
@@401wcollmanthe "services" she spoke of in her statement were referrals. There didn't seem to be an actual service she provided to warrant the $3k. She just wanted a cut from the loan business IMO
I speculate that the male plaintiff has experience watching Judge Judy. I say that because it seemed like he was struggling to catch every word she was saying because English is his second (at least) language; but then at the end, he knew exactly that it was time to smile, because he recognized the phrase "judgment for the plaintiff." It was difficult for ME to follow the case, because of the crappy answering going on. I might watch it again to get a better grip.
Broker took the money out of the commission she made with him on a different loan. That is the punchline right there at the end of the case. What an idiot.
That is the weirdest F thing. I had her lend me money and then I didn't pay her back, because I didn't get paid for all the work I was doing for her. I don't think "money laundering" is the term here but...isn't it SOMETHING, and I don't know what to call it? Surprised Judge Judy didn't say, "You're a hustla."
This is very Filipino. Im always warning my family not to fall into scams that target us with the "make big easy money fast" market. I even told my dad, look, you may make money at first, but eventually, itll come back to bite you in the ass. The saying that "if it sounds too good to be true, it is" means this.
Most brokers and especially real estate agents are grifters, expecting a massive amount of money for doing very little. No better example than their real estate listings and specifically the photos. The listing should pique interest in a home, and make it easy for the clients to quickly decide if a property is right for them, then you'll see 5 photos of the same thing, photos of only half the kitchen, close-ups of corners of empty rooms, close-ups of..... flowers. These people are useless and lazy. Do the legwork yourself, hire a real estate attorney to close the deal. Piss on "real estate experts".
Blah Blah Blah lots of ridiculous double talk that is the opposite of the written testimoney... Boom, Case Closed. Plaintiffs had to say very little. Defendant and her witness spewed out a bunch of lame double talk that sounded like convoluted and ridiculous excuses for not paying back the plaintiffs. Do not loan money to people who appear clueless. Just a really bad idea. JJ saves the day.
I love that you sat supper like I do. Most people call it dinner. The only time we called any meal dinner was on Sunday that we call Sunday lunch dinner. That's due to my mother and dad when I was growing up. ❤
Hey 👋 me too mom always said you better not be late for supper, and I wasn't 😁. Have a wonderful Christmas 🌲 and a great New year's to come peace and joy from PEI Canada 🇨🇦✌️❤️💯
I HATE WHEN PEOPLE COME FROM OUR COUNTRIES AND THINK THEY CAN DO THINGS PERHAPS THE WAY THEY'RE DONE IN THEIR HOMELANDS. COMPLETELY ABSURD CASE. NO WONDER JJ DISPOSED OF IT SO QUICK 🙄
I never understand how these people don't remember their written testimony. If you're going to lie....jeez, put some effort into it
If you tell the truth you don't need a good memory 👩🏻⚖️
If your going to lie, copy the statement so you can remember 🤦🏽♀️😂.
I think the show probably writes it and they sign it. Many probably sign it without thoroughly reading it.
How about just tell the truth....😂😂😂

Male plaintiff looked very confused the whole 3 minutes but smiled when he heard he won 😂😂😂😂
Me too! 😂
Yes, you and I were observing the same stuff.
@@AntoniusReginaldus I MADE EXACT same comment except used "perplexed" instead of confused lol.
I thought that maybe he has a hearing problem, cause it looked like he was trying to lean in with his right ear 😂

LOVE IT when the plaintiff doesn’t even have to say a word!
Yeah very quick case…
I think he was loving it as well, did you see the smile at the end lmao
He did, too!

Filipinos what do you expect they never pay you back.
The smile from the plaintiff at the end
He knows his side of the suit was sketchy, but defendant side was sketchier and had to go first. That’s a smile of relief.

Just got whiplash with how sudden that judgment was 😂

I like how the defendant put in her answer, "I don't owe [name + name] a dime." Audacity.
JJ: I asked if she would lend me $3000. That's what you wrote.
Defendant: Right
JJ: And she said she would, so she gave you $3000.

and at end he had a big bright smile lmao
Man I wish they wouldn’t cut out of the video so quickly, the defendant was about to throw a fit as she found out she lost the case so quickly !
What a handsome smile!
I agree! A $3000 smile to be exact.
3 min video and I already know the outcome. PAY UP, ma’am! 🤣

Once again when JJ starts with the defendant, the program will be really short 😂
The daughter laughing 💀
The hide of that woman.
Good judgement by JJ.
I love when judge Judy has to adjust herself to lean forward and yell at you 😂
The daughter screwed herself with that last statement.
This one I believe should have gone to a high ranking court NOT ON TELEVISION. Obviously something fishy went on and they really never got to speak !
Agreed. I actually posed at 1:10 to read her statement and the lower un-highlighted part of it wasn't really addressed.
