Hallo beautiful man! Let's recap a little. In this video,she's the same person I saw when she was 6 years old, dressed in white, like an angel on the show ''Norway's Got Talent'' and she left us speechless ???....Wow. I can not believe. ''When have so many years passed'' ? I think, how luky we are to have had the chance and the pleasure of seeing it grow and evolve, under our eyes... Indeed, now you can say that she is a young artist who, since your last reaction with Angelina, has evolved enormously and matured lot. I know she went through a difficult time when her grandmother had surgery. Angelina suffered a lot then. I saw a report on this on UA-cam, Angelina in that situation was unrecognizable. Fortunately, everything ended well. For Angelina, her grandmother is the manstay... So,to be onest, I don't know the song . I will try to listen to the original with Adele, but the song is very beautiful and interpretation is superb. An extraordinary sensitivity, a very full voice, beautiful, clean and with the same vibrato that of course you noticed quickly. What I notice in this song is that the melismas are lighter ,softer. I like that in every song he sings, he makes his mark and gives the song a personal note. It seems like she is always in a competition with herself, because she chooses only heavy songs from a melodic point of view. I really like it. She is a beautiful girl with gorgeous hair, an enviable figure and what I always liked about Angelina was her modesty, her simplicity, both in her outfit but also in her attitude and gestures. It can be see that he is a modest person who does not want to stand out, except for the beauty of his voice and his interpretation. She has an impetuousness on stage, and because she is a tall girl, from what I read in some comments, ( she is almost as tall as Dimash, Dimash is 1,86 cm.) but also by the position she displays, and of course the emotional store bare feet, an attitude I see he has not given up. I know the story behind the ''bare feet'',but when I see it like that in studio or on stage, I seem to see it stepping on holy ground ! Impressive.... Dear Lukas , what you are doing with these reaction is amazing. Who doesn't know that you are a very good actor, director or screenwriter, imagine that you simply liked the way the video was filmed and that's it. But in fact it is the '' defect '' of your job, you see and observe absolutely everything . From the stage, to each shot, to the arrangement and use of the lights, that I also noticed , and Ilike, that ''aura'' that the cameraman made during the filming, brought out Angelina stands out very nicely. Another thing you have is this attention , sensitivity and feeling, with which listen to the songs, something that you pass on to us. It is a real pleasure for us to follow you to these reaction . That being said, thank you for this beautiful audition , which I consider a year-end gift , and I look forward to seeing you again next year with new auditions here on your UA-cam channel. The man on piano is Rob Christie, Grammy winner himself and also the studio director for Republic Records/ Universal, he appears in several of her live performances, seems he is some kind of mentor/guardian for the angel =)

Lukas, Angelina said during her Christmas concert that her first album with Republic Records would come out in 2022 with new original songs. Awhile back, her management team reached out to her fan clubs saying they felt reaction videos were hurting her UA-cam analytics. Angelina's Christmas Concert that aired on the 23rd and is available through the 31 of Dec, with the quality and history of musicians that were involved, it shows how much Republic Records believes in, and are willing to invest in’ our Angelina Jordan’s unbelievable talent. She is one of the greatest talents the world has experienced, and we got to watch it happen. I have watched the concert 11 times, so far. AJ performs "You Say" at the end and she will bring you to tears.
I know this is a crazy late comment, but just for the record, I don't think RR was actually directly involved (except as I will point out momentarily) in her 2021 Christmas Concert. Michael was the Executive Producer, Director, Production Coordinator, and Live Stream Producer, and his company, A Star Entertainment, was credited at the end. Yes, Rob Christie (RR Studio Director) was intimately involved as musician, emcee, and Musical Supervisor (most likely the musicians were rustled up by him), and he and RR got a "Special thanks to" credit, but I think the thanks to RR itself was mostly a "necessary courtesy". The whole shebang was copyrighted to Angelina Jordan (not RR or UMC). I believe I recall Angelina saying on one of her "socials" that Michael had paid for the whole thing. Of course, this is not to say that RR doesn't believe in Angelina and has not made significant investments in her (*). I'm just saying that the '21 CC probably shouldn't be pointed to as evidence of that belief and investment. (🙂)
(*) Including reportedly building the studio seen in this "Easy on Me" cover video, which was also the setting of the CC, specifically for her. ("Building" in the sense of turning the space into a recording studio, not constructing the entire building from scratch.)
They say she's at least 6' tall. She'll be 16 in a couple of weeks. She keeps her eyes closed a lot. And she doesn't do the strained facial expressions lots of singers do. She just inhabits the song, especially its emotional core.

Angelina sings the Beatles’ Yesterday from the perspective of a girl sent away by a boy instead of the original perspective of a boy whose girl left him, and Angelina adjusts the tone to match.
I love that Angelina is so honest in her singing. She doesnt imitates , she respects the original.
And she doesnt make a fuss about herself when singing either ,no "plain lift" and "belting" where belting isnt needed. I love that , she can hit both high and low, but she always choose to respect the song .
I just love her way of singing.
Welcome back Lucas to Angelina. Our young Angel is growing up and that superlative vocal gets better and better. I am an Adele fan, she wrote a beautiful song and sang in quite well, but her we have a 15 year old taking this song to another level of emotion, passion and beauty, like she always does. Angelina's Christmas concert was fantastic and we can all look forward to more original music and an upcoming Album in 2022. She just did a Movie soundtrack for the new Movie, "Hating game" and the song is Duffy's "Mercy" where she did all the vocals and even some rapping as well. There is nothing this young lady cannot do. Pretty sure this song, though Adele is singing about divorce and her child, was interpreted by Angelina a different way if you listen to her sing this song. She has been performing and singing since a very young child and has even said in interviews she has missed a lot as a child given the path she has chosen but "never regrets what I do" which she has said in original songs. Hang on tight Lucas, this young lady will eventually explode onto the mundane, boring current music scene and offer us all hope for the future.

I've seen her stand next to her Golden Buzzer momma and she seemed shorter than Heidi who is 5’9” That being said, she was only 13 at the time. 16 as of Jan 2022.
Even her mom.Sarah is a hottie at 38. So is her grandmother who is in her mid 60s.
Good genes in that family.

She's 15 .. turning 16 on January 10, 2022. She's 6'1" or 6'2". Her family and Angelina herself, made a deal with Republic Records that they would wait until she's done with school before opening her up to the music business .. so that is what is happening. She has tiktok, Instagram and UA-cam to play in now and soon, I hope, that shift will happen. I'm not sure if she has another year of school or not. Meanwhile, they do these covers that she loves with her and keep her protected. She's in the right place.

A couple happened by Angelina and her mom when they were going to watch AGT live in the the audience. They had an interesting video of the encounter and took a picture with Angelina. The man stated he was 5 foot 8 inches and Angelina towers over him and they estimated she was 6 foot tall at age 13.

Angelina is 6’2” tall. There are pictures of her at 13 barefoot standing next to 5’10” Heidi Klum in 3” heels and Angelina is taller. More recently at age 15 she is clearly a few inches taller than producer David Foster who is 5’11”. Angelinas grandmother recently underwent surgery, but apparently is doing well. Angelina is deeply in love and attached to her. Angelina announced during her live Christmas concert that she is working on a new album with original songs, coming out next year. She also released her cover of the Duffy Classic, MERCY, which is the first song on the soundtrack for the new movie, The Hating Game. It’s great and reminded me of the 60’s, you should check it out.

I've read 6ft and no one really knows if she is taller than that. I've seen 6ft 3 in which is ridiculous. I suggest about 6ft. In addition to grandma Merry the video start also shows manager / uncle Mike and Republic Records Rob Christie, Grammy winning Pianist.

I believe Angelina Jorden is very close to her grandmother, Mery Zamani. She is the one, in the beginning, hugging Angelina. She was at least 6 feet tall at 13, now I do not know. Guesstimate, 6'1 maybe?

Lots of questions: 1) she's 15 here, 16 in early January. 2) is her grandma Mery, recently had a medical problem which required surgery, not much more info. Her grandfather's have both passed, likely the tribute songs you were thinking of. 3) she is tall, some claim 6', but I think she needs 3 or 4" heels for that.

Adele is technically excellent, but Angelina's expressions during the song express more feelings. That "E-E-E-E-E-E-E-ASY ON ME" is a lot better and smoother with Angelina. Adele does a 0.5 seconds pause as if she ran of air.

Her 2 grandfathers died; however, her grandma (Mery) is recovering from cancer surgery. I appreciated Angelina letting us know how Mery is doing. The pianist (Rob Christie, 2 time grammy winner, director of Republic Records studio, where this is recorded, and RR VP. The B&W video is in the same lane as Adele's video.

Lukas, as I understood it, Republic Records and their chief of LA Studios together with AJ asks the people they cover. Adele knows, that AJ is a huge fan of her (AJ declared that a couple of times). When asked, what she thinks about AJ covering her songs, So it was told, Adele simply declared "I feel honored" !!! The Jackson Family are big fans of her. Sir Elton thanked her for " dusting of this old song and breathing new live in it". You know Queen were enthusiastic about her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsodie. Angelina Jordan is today a NAME to be respected. Every musician working with her calls her THE BOSS, with adoration and respect.
Lukas, while we mere humans (LOL) know only a little about her, the international music Industrie and musicians, have known her for years. AJ was visiting her relatives in Japan, when Nora Jones called her from Seoul, to ask her to sing for a fundraiser concert. I mean how did they even know she was in Japan in 2017. You have a pleasant, healthy and peaceful year and together we will witness AJ starting her career in summer 2022. German greetings.

"Love don´t let me go" and "Now I´m the fool" you will enjoy them immensely. All songs on the EP are different. In all songs she mixed genres, like MoTown and freestyle rap plus as usual a bit of Jazz. Also one of us asked her how many songs she has written in her live......over 100 songs!!!!

Yes, that is her grandmother, who has not passed but had a major medical scare last year. I believe Angelina is now 6' 1". She will be 16 in January, 2022. She is truly, as you said, an artist, not just a great singer. For me, she is pure class, in an Audrey Hepburn sort of way. I hope she carries that throughout her career. In today's world class is rare and highly undervalued, but it's time will return.

To answer a few of your questions...
- Her grandmother is doing well. It was her grandfather that passed a couple years ago.
- yes she is tall. nearly 6 feet from all photographic evidence and personal accounts
- The pianist is Rob Christi from Republic Records
- You are correct, Angelina never imitates, only honors the original artist.
- Angelina covers more Adele that any other artist she covers.... as far as rights and permissions.... I imagine any youtube revenue from this cover goes to Adele (or whoever owns her copyrights)
- Exactly as you said, she closes her eyes and goes into her own world when she sings. I imagine coaches over the years have tried to train this out of her. ...I say don't mess with perfection ;)

Also if you watch her Christmas concert you can see that Rob Christie has really taken her under his wing and introduced her to a bevy of Grammy winners in jazz and r&b. Rusty, correct me but Rob Christie is a vp at Republic and also a Grammy winner. Another thing we hardly ever mention is the obvious charisma Angelina has. The camera loves her and she just seems to know what to do whether it is a film or picture. I think we need to bring back the old timey word chanteuse to describe her.

@@lukashasselNY Withing days of the release of Easy on Me there were literally dozens of covers on UA-cam and other platforms, many of them really really good. There must be pretty wide latitude for covering songs.
During an interview on Skavlan he asked if she was ever nervous performing. She said she wasn’t, she went to a place, it is endless. I always imagine she is there when her eyes are closed. (paraphrased, not quoted).
For a lead-in to the performance of her original song “Shield” she sings a bit of “Diamonds are Forever” a cappella.
It’s a wonderful song and Adele performed it beautifully. Angelina performes it wonderfully as well and it touches me more. Angelina adds her own touches to it and still remains true to the original. During the interview it was said she was working on her own album, so hopefully we will hear own work soonish as well!

Pretty amazing a week after Adele comes out with this song this young woman sings it, and does it better than the original artist.
Recorded within a couple days of Adele’s release. Writer Greg Kirsten wrote this with Adele…he did other songs with her. She’s so knows how to pick great collaborators. I love Angelina’s spin on this. She is so suited for this type of music.🌺

I love this cover, but my favorite is still (and will probably always be) her Adele cover of A Million Years Ago. Listening to her version of that song is breathtaking.

I sometimes worry that this angel's halo will be so bright as to blind us to the rest of the video, but as you mentioned the director did an excellent job of keeping it in check. Thanks to another great reaction to another masterful performance by Angelina - this time of Adele's new song. While both Adele & Angelina are excellent vocalists, Angelina always seems to allow me to also strongly FEEL the emotions as she sings. Always look forward to your Angelina reactions. You might want to check out Angelina singing the opening soundtrack (the Duffy song - Mercy) to a new movie - "The Hating Game". I believe she sang &/or spoke all the background tracks as well. I know you enjoy following an artist’s journey from the beginning and would like to suggest Jonathan Antoine. He first was introduced to the world on Britains Got Talent and was greeted with horrible mean jests from the crowd and Simon because he was overweight. At 17, terribly shy and somewhat broken, he summoned up the courage with his friend Charlotte. When he opened his mouth and his voice came out everyone was set back on their seats. (If one ever wondered about reincarnation this might be it as the voice of Pavarotti entered the universe again). If you do watch you will see Jonathan grow from that shaking 17 year old to the strong, funny, loving, singing talent he is today. He recorded with Charlotte for a few years and then moved on to concerts and recording as a solo tenor. To hear his Godfather theme in concert in Italy is wonderful. He gives inspiration to those that also struggle with weight at young ages and are too ashamed to ever allow themselves more than invisibility. Jonathan also proves that so much talent is lost because of the assumption that beauty equals talent.
Angelina Jordan showed the world that age & strict training at an early age does not always equal talent and JA’s lesson is as important. I wish more people could see him and hope you might share with your viewers. Happy New Year to you and yours!

Hi Lucas Angelina actually sang this live from the Republic Record studio so if you’d have known about it you could have actually seen her live it was just amazing one take from the live studio she’s also done a live Christmas show on the 23rd I bought my ticket and she was absolutely amazing it was the best Christmas present 🎁 my husband has ever bought me I was just speechless and just mesmerised she’s just got it all no one comes close to Angelina She will be 16yrs old on the 10th of January and in her concert she said she’s been writing ✍️ her songs and hopes too have her Album out this year I just can’t wait Love 💕 from Denise in Yorkshire England 🏴👼👸🏻✍️👍💕👏🥰👋
Angelina said she's working on her album (of original songs). At the same time her team did let us know they're self-funding production of more cover videos using money from patreon. Thats all we know about their thinking.
The waterproof and legal way for covers would be clearing the rights and paying for it. That way you could also sell it. But the copyright holders have no obligation to comply with your request. Bohemian Rahapsody is the only song we know she owns the rights since Queen offered it. Her previous CDs probably would have required clearing the rights, too.
Real life on youtube is kinda more in the grey. Another singer once said to get some youtube money from it, she needs as many views on a new cover as possible before the revenue gets claimed. Judging from that (and the number of covers that those artist has online) I believe its an uncommon occurence that covers on youtube are targeted with a copyright strike. Making a copyright claim to redirect the revenue into the pockets of the copyright holder for the song text is quite common however.
