I have been excited to see what else Angelina Jordan can do with the covers she has recorded and since I really like Adele's music too, I thought this was the recommendation I'd go for.
She did not disappoint. Amazing skill and talent from this incredible teenager.

It took me awhile to understand that the little hesitances in her timing were not mistakes, but actually stylistic excellence! It's just one of the uniquely Angelina colors that she paints on her music! She makes me wish I was a lot younger so I could watch her career for many decades!

Angelina’s “A Million Years Ago” is my favorite cover of all time! A must watch.
She's doing someone else's song but making it her own. Like young painters who go to the museum and copy the masters. Not to make a copy but to learn how the masters did it. They say the good ones borrow but the great ones steal. You can tell she's showing respect for her peers by doing their songs in her own way but showing great respect for the original artist. She also seems to have a good idea of what sounds best when recording her performances. She's right on that mike without any pop filters like she's trying to capture every nuance in her voice. It takes mega breath control to close mike a vocal and not show any flaws or overpower the mike. So mature!

I like your grown up comments about Angelina's age. It's like Angelina also is helping us by clothes and hairstyle; when we hear this beautiful song we shouldn't think of a young girl. Instead she is helping us to think of a woman of age and experience. Once when she sang "Shield" on the Swedish television she was asked how she could sing so at an age of twelve. "I don't feel like twelve" she answered sincerely.

A lot of superlatives are coming here-this is definitely one of my favorite performances by the best singer I’ve ever heard. I’ve felt for several years that Angelina is the best interpreter of lyrics singing today, particularly on songs with melancholy themes like this one-and also with her staggering cover of Adele’s A Million Years Ago. I love Adele, but side by side, other singers sound one-dimensional next to Angelina. Here she lives the lyrics, giving us pure, clean, sustained notes along with vocal fry, texture, depth, and that raspy vibrato I’ve never heard from anyone else. It combines, at least for me, into pure vocal magic that mesmerizes. I can listen to Angelina all day, everyday. And I do listen to her everyday.

Angelina is 13 here, looking like a torch singer in a 40's movie. I don't think she is nervous at all when performing. I see the opening wave as her invitation to come on in to her world; she's right where she wants to be. And the wave at the end is her way of saying thanks for being here with me. Less nervous than perhaps not used to the camera. But the shyness or slight reticence shows a gorgeous vulnerability and honesty.

We all wave back. She says she is never nervous, that singing is important as breathing. Her grandmother made that outfit she wore on AGT Champions. Angelina was exposed to jazz and the older songs through her grandmother’s music that she listened to.

I love the deep and emotional way Angelina sings this cover, so quiet and effortless, every time I listen to her I can never keep my emotions at bay. She has her unique way of choosing, reading, adapting and singing the songs to communicate with our soul and the Adele's songs are so perfect for her voice, she sings them so well ...
I think that the effect that Angelina manages to give to the songs she sings is very much related to why she chooses one song over another. She has to feel in tune not only with the music, but especially with the lyrics and I think this is one of the main reasons, she tells the story that the song contains, in hers own way splendid.
As an actor who identifies with the character he is playing, instead she impersonates the song. 😊 ❤️

Great reaction, but my favorite Adelle song that she sings is "Million Years Ago" when she was 11 with a guitar player who can hardly contain himself being so close to her voice, his face shows us how much better in person she is than we are able to hear on video, and what we hear on the video is spectacular.

Wonderful reaction, Lukas! You're the only one I've watched so far who immediately noticed the vulnerability she projected in her vocals. It feels as if her heart is breaking apart while she's singing it. While I love Adele's original very much, I do think that she has - yet again - been outshone by this 13 year old girl.

AJ has the gift of back phrasing ( jazz technique ) and moving around the note. The runs or melismas she puts on and around certain phrases are incredibly hard to pull off properly, not to mention the breathing control. She is an extraordinary performer
