I've realized something. This person's take on the pillagers and the whole illager faction as a whole is that they're undead warriors wearing wooden crates that resemble what they look like in-game. Pretty interesting, I like it.
Let's be honest, this is a fairly accurate portrayal of some of the players on Hermitcraft. Even the expert Builders and Redstoners can sometimes be absolutely clueless in combat (Mumbo).
I see Steve as the Wizard and Alex as the Fighter in this relationship. Steve can build magnificent machines that can solve his problems on a large scale. However, when you take those away he is actually pretty weak physically. Alex is more hands-on, preferring to do things the old fashioned way. Sure, her physical capabilities are limited by how far her arms allows. But she can deliver and take hits with the best of them.
Well in actually cannon Alex is the smart one while Steve does most physical work but in this representation Alex seem to be older and mature one and Steve is the immature smart one that gets into a lot of trouble
Steve has much more experience in the Minecraft world than Alex does, He's been there since the early days, Its just that people make Alex look more like the Pro and Steve the Noob is because of cringe "GiRl PoWeR" Steve in canon is the builder/crafter and fighter
What this animator shows is that this Steve has been playing Minecraft so long that he has figured out cheats and techniques to acquire specific materials for specific tasks and things efficiently. However, he has (unlike other Steves portrayed by other animators) forgotten what it means to be a beginner and TRUE Minecraft player. Sure you may have an iPhone to get information faster, but think how much we people would be in the dark if the internet crashed unexpectedly. We need to remember where we came from to achieve these brilliant feats and know what to do in certain situations that strip them away from us or render them useless. Steve was powerless and fearful of the Raid when they attacked him, proving that his arrogance and ego influenced him in moments to flash his technological prowess against a fresh-start Alex while indicating his forgotten past of being like her. A true Minecraft player doesn't only do "impressive" things like in Creative Mode, because you don't actually grasp the true and intended purpose of the game itself. Minecraft is a game where, yes, you could either survive in a world with monsters popping at night (with some exceptions) or start building things in a world using your imagination. However, Steve in this version treated his Survival world like a Creative world, forgetting that he only managed to acquire the materials to make those machines and contraptions by getting his hands dirty and putting his life on the line. In Creative worlds, you have a food and health bar that are frankly unnecessary while being able to pull anything out of a vast menu. Alex represents his forgotten past, which is what everyone needs to hold onto so that if your contraptions fail, you can still react perfectly against an unexpected yet old and familiar threat/situation. There are people like this version of Steve, and there are people like this version of Alex. But the truth is, a worthy and true Minecraft player needs to be both; they need to be able to remember what to do should they enter a scenario that puts them back on the same day that highlighted the first day you enter a Survival world while retaining the knowledge they have learned.
Since making these types of farms require lots of resources on land and underground, which steve would stumble upon many hostile mobs especially in caves and he would easily slaughter them. So it doesn't make sense on why steve was being puny as he's an experience player. I mean he got diamond equipments which can only be found deep in the caves where many dangerous mobs would spawn in
@@denzzz8918 You actually see a lot of experienced players, especially of the builder/redstoner sort, being pretty pathetic at pve. Pretty much all of the resources that Steve needs to make his contraptions can be farmed or gathered using automated methods, so he wouldn't have to actually do too much after he got past the early game. Some people are just not good at video games, even if they are fantastic at the less conventionally game-ish parts of minecraft
@@worthlesshuman5041 If we put this situation in real life, it still doesn't make much sense how Steve reacted. Cobble Stone Generator is actually worse than actual mining over all, because unless you're doing a skyblock on a server or something or really anything is in place to cause it to somehow spawn a block OTHER than Cobblestone, at least while actually mining you can find other resources naturally plus it's not possible (or at least it'd be near impossible) to run out of Stone that naturally occurred in the world

I really like the dynamic between Steve and Alex. Steve is more of a red stone genius kinda like Mumbo Jumbo in a way, creating contraptions that gets the job done faster and more efficiently. Alex on the other hand is more of a PVP-er kinda like Techno, preferring to explore, hunt, and especially knows how to handle a fight. I really like how you portray them and I look forward to seeing how this relationship of there continues. Also, I find it interesting that when Steve gets attack and Alex saves him, to me she looks pissed. It's adorable how she makes sure Steve is safe first before she retaliates, but what's more adorable was her being mad that someone attacked Steve that wasn't her.
@scatterphantom I'd see that Steve is skilled too because remember in this universe they don't have UA-cam or anything so he had to think of others designs himself that counts as a skill
Me gustaría ver en una ocasión ver a Steve aprender a luchar cuerpo a cuerpo como lo hace Alex, y ver a Álex aprender a usar máquinas para arreglar las cosas
Do gotta remember the things Steve has to be able to do to get the parts for these machines though. He needs a lot of iron, redstone, wood, and cobble to make those machines, and as we saw in his inventory, he had diamonds as well. He definitely spent his fare share of time in the mines, so seeing him this weak with those machines is a tad odd. Automation in Minecraft outside of creative mode does come at high cost after all. Outside of the unnecessary logic criticism, this is an amazing piece and really shows off two dynamic types of people that often play Minecraft, although I would personally view a better way of this display to be Alex fighting other people which even experienced builders like Steve would realistically have trouble dealing with even after spending all the time and effort to automate everything. For a third thing, the art style is amazing. Alex looks very beautiful and Steve is fairly cute.
To be fair with the steve point, they have to live in/near a village for the raid to happen. Steve might have likely exploited villager trades to get said gear. Only thing is that he isn't doing it to rub in the fact that he is better, he's just getting the jobs done quicker, and hasn't totally given up his smugness. After being punched after showing off the mob grinder he made, he wonders why she's so angry at him, only to get caught out in the open by a Pillager raid/(scouting party?). He clearly shows that he hasn't practiced his fighting skills in awhile as he lets one of the Pillagers get the better of him, only for Alex to swoop in, brutally murder the one that got the better of him, grab Steve, and box him in a little hill for safety, and probably have him not experience the more dangerous side she has. The amount of patience and control she has when around Steve. And then when all chaos breaks loose, she shows up. Now, all her built of rage and violence is breaking through her mental state...I foresee Alex going full beserk on the raiders...entering a frenzy.
I am definitely a Physical. Mostly because of the fact that I consider automated things very overpowered in MC, it just takes the fun out of actually doing the action and grinding.
Grinding only gets in the way of building cool shit. I'd automate the world more if i could. You say its less fun, but I disagree. I don't want to spend hours grinding levels to enchant gear, when I can make blaze farms to get xp and blaze rods for an automatic smelter that smelts netherrack into netherbrick, so i can use that to build things.
Love this, seeing a good balance of Steve being the smart, machine guy that knows what to do in terms of efficiency, but Alex being the more hands on type as another person said In the comments. To those hissing in the comment section saying Steve is more powerful, it would not be as fun to see Steve be both the smartest and strongest in this animation. It needs this balance
I see alot of comments talking about steve being portrayed incorrectly, but i like this dynamic and their relation ship. But can we just talk about the animation though. Shit just took a massive u turn and soon as the threw the arrow back. Just perfection.
I understand that people say Steve is stronger, but you can tell just by looking at how the two of them are designed that Steve is clearly the weaker in terms of combat prowess. Now this is not to say he isn't capable, but this Steve is an artificer or engineer. Meaning that, yes he is very strong in his own right as he most certainly mined and retrieved all of the materials himself, he most likely did so dressed to the nines in armor and copious amounts of explosives for protection. Alex on the other hand willing goes without armor into dangerous territory most likely cause it would weigh her down and prevent movement. Unlike Steve, she is skilled and very strong when it comes to fighting. And she isn't stupid either, she obviously is intelligent enough to have a basic grasp of redstone and how it works, but not to the degree steve does. They both have their strengths, and I can clearly see if Steve is in control of a situation, it would go much better for him, but Alex will break her way out of any problem she finds herself in through shear force of will and spite.
in "TNT," he's beaten as soon as alex gets her hands on him, so he has to stay on the run and keep leading her into traps. also notice that steve is physically smaller than Alex in this series. (in other versions, steve is usually larger than alex.) I like to think that in this universe, Steve is Alex's little brother that doesnt have much friends and wants her attention so he pesters or otherwise one-ups her so she'll play with him instead of doing her own thing
In short: Steve: Max INT Average STRENGTHS "Why would I risk getting hurt if I can prevent it?" Alex: Average INT Max STRENGTH "OH? You're approaching me? Instead of running away, you're coming closer, even do you've seen what I've done to your Illager friends? Like a goat, charging off a cliff. I'd say you are brave, but foolish is more likely. "
@@black97_0 that actually is the best analogy for them. It shows that Steve has still been at this for a long time, but has found ways to make life easier. Meanwhile Alex is basically kill first ask questions later.
Thought this was some lazy money grab made for kids considering the sound effects and the "vs" trope but pleasantly surprised when I saw the pillagers scene and the WONDERFUL animation! Anyone who puts that much effort into animation gets my respect! I'm also very impressed with the story and the detail that since steve doesn't fight mobs and instead uses a mob farm, he's not very good at fighting compared to Alex who actually fights mobs all the time and knows how to fight well! I also especially love the pillager designs and that animation when Alex was stabbing the pillager with the arrow :D

@@duranahumadaangelroberto At least in this story. Yes. It’s an interesting take on the relationship of the two. Though I wonder why the creator of this story chose to have Alex be more combat capable than Steve given he’s been around in the game, literally since it’s release. I hope we learn more.

Given that she's very much the physical one of the two, I've imagined this version of Alex to be pretty athletically fit, maybe a bit on the buff side. For me, it also emphasizes her viciousness in battle, especially in the second half of this when she parts the smoke in her diamond armor.
What an evil man steve is, to actually make a mob farm that fast in results, he would have needed to clear a 60+ block radius of any dark area, which means he left that little patch of darkness for mobs to spawn just to show alex how inefficient manual mob hunting is.

The amount of patience and control she has when around Steve. And then when all chaos breaks loose, she shows up. Now, all her built of rage and violence is breaking through her mental state...I foresee Alex going full beserk on the raiders...entering a frenzy.
Rip and tear until it is done
GTA V Trevor moment
I am definitely a Physical. Mostly because of the fact that I consider automated things very overpowered in MC, it just takes the fun out of actually doing the action and grinding.
I'm only a physical because I don't have a long enough attention span to build machines
@@Liezuli Ditto, and I personally would rather use a cleaver than a cannon
Same the only mech that i know how to build with redstone is a cannon
Grinding only gets in the way of building cool shit. I'd automate the world more if i could. You say its less fun, but I disagree. I don't want to spend hours grinding levels to enchant gear, when I can make blaze farms to get xp and blaze rods for an automatic smelter that smelts netherrack into netherbrick, so i can use that to build things.
to each their own, I personally don't like automation but what you like is not my choice to decide.
The way Alex destroyed the enemy with an arrow made me pleased. I like seeing people fight insane for those they care about.
Alex: work hard steve: work smart
1:05 then steve just build raid farm...

It needs this balance
in my au steve is a very good builder but Alex is S M A R T

Congratulations 🎉 for 20m subscriberssss ❤
Steve is such a baby when it comes to fighting mobs and always needs Alex to save his scaredy cat boody
1:42 let's appreciate her stand STAR PLATINUM who threw the arrow like a bullet right at the pillagers eye 💀
Yare yare days, this is wrong anime genre.
Yeah thats cool, but is cooler 1:50

I absolutely love the tiny detail of Steve panic scrolling through his hotbar for his diamond sword. Wonderful touch.
I see alot of comments talking about steve being portrayed incorrectly, but i like this dynamic and their relation ship. But can we just talk about the animation though. Shit just took a massive u turn and soon as the threw the arrow back. Just perfection.
Steve is a genius, alex is a warrior they perfect together
They both are strong Steve here just don’t know to fight even when he can in original
@@Bluemoogaming yea
in "TNT," he's beaten as soon as alex gets her hands on him, so he has to stay on the run and keep leading her into traps. also notice that steve is physically smaller than Alex in this series. (in other versions, steve is usually larger than alex.)
I like to think that in this universe, Steve is Alex's little brother that doesnt have much friends and wants her attention so he pesters or otherwise one-ups her so she'll play with him instead of doing her own thing
In short:
Steve:
Max INT
Average STRENGTHS
"Why would I risk getting hurt if I can prevent it?"
Alex:
Average INT
Max STRENGTH
"OH?
Boi, now that I look at this video with a fresh set of eyes, I definitely see cheap money grab minecraft animation things in this video. But based on other stuff, this guy is very cool.
Cant say that i dont agree those arseholes are fcking annoying but the video lets you watch for free the only thing that consumes you is your time
Alex was brutal at that part tho…
Man just write a book
Idk, doesn’t really feel like a ”quick cash grab”, just feels like a great animation

Why do i see myself more and more in Alex then steve?
Alex is stuck in primitive times
While steve is going up to the modern age
Still, Alex is better at PvP than Steve XD
@@duranahumadaangelroberto true
@@duranahumadaangelroberto At least in this story. Yes. It’s an interesting take on the relationship of the two. Though I wonder why the creator of this story chose to have Alex be more combat capable than Steve given he’s been around in the game, literally since it’s release. I hope we learn more.
@@masonfreeman4349 The newest Minecraft trailers show Steve and Alex like Blue Monkey does which then it's showed here. My theory: Time made Steve smart, smartness him lazy, laziness him physically weak, physically weakness him immature. And that's how he stuck at. From start Alex joining the game has to take care of him and do everything else by herself. This made her tough. And it stuck.

How steve get 30 diamonds then
If I had to use real minecraft lore, I would say Alex and Steve are both builders and physical people.
That just looks like Talking tom and friends minis
Alex = Talking Angela
Steve = Talking tom
I would like this to be turned into a series, the death stare from Alex is bonkers. Also, the combination of action, comedy and jiggle physics is perfect imo
What a world we live in where jiggle physics are considered as a descriptor just like action and comedy
Yeah and given how they censored the Steve Im Stuck video...Im just waiting on this one to be censored due to Alex's top jiggling as she ran with Steve to get him to safety. 1:43
I love how Alex is not a typical waifu, and yes a woman fighter. Same with Steve
Steve: *builds machines and get xp for days but fails at real raids without alex*
Alex: *does old school stuff and still strong enough for raids*
I like how Alex's bustiness is just THERE. Like it doesn't define her as a character, it just happens to be how she is.

Inefficient but I still use manual hunting.
