I think what I love about Steve so much is how much sense it makes to why he acts the way he is. Unlike alex, Steve has been isolated for a good portion of his life, that's why he acts in such an odd way.

A friend of mine basically chased me into one of the houses we built while invisible and I attempted to lock him out by blocking the door way with everything in my inventory and layering the walls. Thinking I was perfectly safe, I noticed a couple of pebbles fall from above me, look up, see a hole in the ceiling, and then try to scream, "HE MINED THROUGH THE CEIL-" *dead*.
Lol! Yup! That and this has mainly been wholesome. Not like he'd go into the shower, see her, and prank her while she's only wearing a towel or in the nude. The animator probably did that part showing money just because it'd be more hilarious.
Steve may take every opportunity to prank Alex, but even he has some respect for her. Though now both know, in their own ways, why you shouldn't use the invisibility potion to prank one another. But they did get quite the view of the other in the shower, especially Alex.

I would think Alex's intelligence is lesser than Steve's with Steve being more of a master of Minecraft and Alex still learning and getting better. Steve has been around for longer than Alex and his survival alone at first was more successful compared to Alex's survival alone at first. Steve is the more intelligent one but Alex is certainly the more straight-forward one.
