@70conrad I agree with you. Heather had beautiful hair. I also loved Theresa Ring hair in the finals. I loved Sophia's too in the finals. Ditto for Micaela and Symba Smith too.

For these reasons, I see why she won though my heart was with Aimee just slightly more. With Pamela and Devin...Pamela was more striking in person but Devin had charm and that special quality of small town girl thrown into a big city...she also showed vulnerability which is ALWAYS appealing. Not to mention, she photographs like a million bucks! I remember when all 4 were
@bcmoon1979 As far as I know, the exact result was never announced...I could be wrong because I was not part of the back stage crew. I often wondered what the results were myself. I find it hard to believe that all judges voted for Barbara or Cynthia...it was probably very close. Karen's final video is up on youtube, but I was referring the the semi's where she REALLY shined.
91 Finals: Tamara Walker DEFINITELY got the wrong end of the stick in the finals. That shadow mess used in Round 1, that was eventually dropped, did nothing to enhance the models and I felt Tamara had no fair shot in the final with Symba. I also agree that I loved Tamara's hair in the SF. I still question why Tamara did not get a chance to redo a photo shoot for the Final
@Mist20 Let me tell you I was at the regular season show where Tamara competed against Tiffany and lost. Tamara was DROP DEAD GORGEOUS in person. Seriously, one of the most flawless faces I have ever seen. Actually, she was prettier than Symba but Symba had more versatility and a better video. Tamara got short-changed because all of her video were of that crappy shadow stuff.
@kenneyut Are you talking about Rosie Tennison? If so, yes. Unfortunately, I wasn't at that show but on tv she was very beautiful like Tamara. I don't remember her speaking ability. See...this is why I wish we had access to all of these shows so we could go through them all and debate.

I found it very interesting that you lost to "moments in love" yet you used that in the semi-finals and won! I always thought that it was your best! Also... in weekly competition, who did you think was your biggest competition (other than Wendy). I was at the show with Rachel ( or Rochelle Dillman) and thought she had something, but the girl from Ireland was REALLY strong!

I love your recollection..question for you cause I have always wondered this, but in the SFs and the in the Finals did they ever let the contestants know after the results were announced, how the judges the voted? For example, like if Devin beat Karen by a 5/4 vote or 6/3, etc....I would love to see the video Karen used in the Final. Interestingly, most of Devin's video in the Final came from her first win when the audience broke the tie between she and Wendy Edmead

@Mist20 Just some random thoughts and observations after being at both 86 semi-finals...Devin did not "read" very strongly in person. By that I mean, her presence from a distance was not very strong, but the camera LOVED her and she came across on tv. Devin is tied with Micaela for best smile of all of the models. Karen had a great rapport with the audience and that's why she won over Aimee. Aimee is stunning in person though. Pamela looked incrediblebut had no connection with the audience.

I would not have been surprised if Barbara and Cynthia only won by 1 vote. I would love to see the 1986 SF

@70conrad I also thought Tamara got short end with the shadow video. I dont know who came up with the idea to do that in round 1. I am glad they went back to the normal video shoot in round 2. I agree it was a disadvantage to Tamara. I just hated the shadow video shoots.
@70conrad Since you were at both SFs in 1986 did you agree with Karen beating Aimee and Devin beating Pamela? Also in the Finald did you agree with Devin beating Karen?
@Mist20 Yeah, the shadow videos sucked. I thought they were terribly distracting to the eye and took away the focus from the model. It would have been OKAY to have done it once as a novelty, but c'mon!... that's all poor Tamara had to work with! Actually, they stop doing them in round 1 sometime during Tiffany's run as champion. They probably got a lot of bad feedback from the audience.
@Mist20 To be fair to the models, the 80's was all about big hair. LOL! I think the winner for most beautiful hair goes to Heather Medway....and although I wasn't a fan, Bobbie Brown had very pretty hair as well/
Do u know name of spokesmodel I think it was first couple weeks of 1993 or 1994 she had 2 wins wasnt a semi finalist light brown long hair like Sophia Bowen but not her sister shay.
