1.5 to 2 days??? Which watch did you test??? I can't get more than 12 HOURS after full reset and stock settings with Wifi DISABLED. Many Watch 7 users has the same issue.
I'm actually trading in my Watch 6 Classic for the Watch 7 44mm. I know I'm the minority but I really don't like the rotating bezel. I never used it. I guess i'm just used to swiping. Plus the bezel sits a little high making the watch look like a little stadium ....lol. I love how the 7 looks, and with the upgraded sensors it was a no brainer for me.
I went from a GW4 to GW7 so I didn't even know what people were talking about until I went to Best Buy and saw it. It's not a big deal for me as well and I don't mind swiping lol.
I ordered the 7 44 mm variant. I'm currently training for the NYC Marathon and decided to upgrade from my watch 6. Battery has been suspect. I have to charge it to make it through training days, which include 10-13 mile run and between 90 -120 minutes the gps tracker. Battery frequently goes down to under 50%. Hopefully, it'll improve as the watch learns my habits. Great content.I appreciate such a thorough review and, as a result, feel more confident in my decision to skip the "Ultra."
@@Vatsal-lx2ko The battery life has improved significantly. I did a half marathon last Saturday. It took 2:01 the battery only drained from 100% to 72%. It smy first smart watch by the way so i did not own any previous versions or smart watches. Best and most comprehensive detailed and honest review i have come across on UA-cam by the way. Good job Chigz!
I have the Galaxy watch 5 and I don't get much more than 24 hours on that one. I charge mine every night before going to bed so I can keep track of my O2 during the night. I'm glad I didn't buy the Ultra as I would be mad for paying more and not getting more. Looks great and I don't need that rotating dial as the 5 was my first Samsung watch.
Excellent in-depth review. Probably wouldn't bother with the gestures either. Ordered the Galaxy Watch 7 after watching this review, thank you. Ultra = SUPER OVER-PRICED!
Love the honest review but the Ultra titanium is much stronger than Aluminum. Even though it's much bigger it weighs similar to the galaxy 6 classic which shows they went aggressive with the titanium. It’s to my understanding the speaker and mics are better on the Ultra, the screen is 3k nits rather than 2k. Ultra has more battery and in several test it has shown to be more reliable in GPS and heart sensor. Wish they would of made the regular 7 of titanium. Aluminum makes it look cheap.
That's what I upgraded from. I was getting maybe 12-18h battery, so it was time to switch. I ended up getting the 7 Ultra and get about 48h battery and couldn't be happier. The improvements from the 4 are worth it IMO.
I have both: Advantages: Sapphire screen instead of Gorilla Glass, more responsive (due to CPU and RAM), lighter, more advanced sensors. Disadvantage: You lose the rotating bezel, this is really all you can miss. The 4 Classic is still a beautiful and perfectly fine watch, though.
The only difference from gw4 is that useless body temperature sensor. Everything else is the same. Better screen of course, but I can't say gw4 work slowly. May be I missed what the new sensor can do, but I don't see any new features coming from the new hardware. I would not upgrade. I upgraded from gw4 to gw5 pro because it's now 110 usd and battery life is amazing, and there's no difference with gw7.
Thank you for your honest review and the walkthrough! I’d been searching for a review like this but I couldn’t seem to find one. Now I can decide more easily if I should buy it or not.
Okay, I’ve always scratched my head about the obsession around the kislux book totes and their practicality, but this one is adorable!! Congratulations
The thing I dislike the most about the ultra is the thickness 14.5mm is very thick and some weight to go with it Nearly double the thickness of the GW7.
I've had my 40mm watch 7 Bluetooth version for a week now and the battery has not gotten any better. If I have Bluetooth connected I lose 10% per hour.. once I disconnect from Bluetooth the battery will last forever. But that defeats the point of a smartwatch for me as I mostly use it for notifications.. was going to return it and get another one and see if it has the same issue. Anyone else in this boat?
Always on screen will drain the hell out of these watches. I've been holding onto my Galaxy Watch 4 forever and just bought a 7 today. Battery life being a big reason behind finally switching. I'm tired of only getting like 12 hours out of my 4 before I have to charge it again.
Sorry Chigz I did get the ultra only because Tmobile had a promo going on, and I got it on contract for half the price. I love the regular 7 though. Just couldn’t pass up the deal. I had to get back to Samsung. 😊

My main concern is how the battery life is with AOD turned on as I use that a lot. With medium use if it can get me a day and a half I’m happy.
Yes pixel Watch 3 is rubbish, it’s too thick. Heavy and let down by the Fitbit software. Don’t buy pixel’s smartwatches until they can change the OS. Major let down. GW7 is the best.
If you have WiFi enabled it will already only actually connect to a WiFi network when needed, that is when downloading things. If you're only receiving some WhatsApp messages, the Bluetooth connection to your phone will carry that data. If you start downloading apps from the Play Store or are perhaps loading a video that someone sent you, it will automatically switch to WiFi to achieve higher speeds. In daily use I don't think anyone truly needs WiFi to be enabled at all, but since it only connects when needed, and otherwise doesn't do anything, I still leave it enabled for those few times every now and then when I update apps for example. It (might) also speed up backups, not sure about that though.
You should do a Comparison between the GW6C(C = Classic) 47mm and the GW7 44mm I feel like the GW6C is still beating the GW7 on physical features(like the Bezel and Esthetics even on Software there isn't allot of difference between the two) even tho the GW7 is newer
A comparison of subjective aspects/individual opinions wouldn't really make sense for a YT video. For short: The watch 6 Classic is made out of steel which makes heavier and a bit more premium. The 7 is lighter and more fitting for sport. The rotating bezel probably makes it easier to navigate but with it you also have one mechanical component more that can break. I got the GW 3 (with rotating bezel) and now after 4 years it isn't as satisfying and klicky anymore which is a bit annoying.
Excellent review. I have been thinking of buying a galaxy watch for the past 6 months. I was waiting for watch 7 instead of going for the past versions. I don't own a samsung phone but I'm planning to buy s25 next year after the launch which will probably happen on February. Now after watching ur video I'm slightly confused whether to buy this watch or not. Is it ok to buy the watch now and buy a samsung phone after 6 months of time. Please let me know ur thoughts!!!
I know they are little things, but it makes a big difference. Especially when he comes to where and tear. I'm far from rich and I got my ceth one. They will last a lot longer
@@ChigzTech Your review was the final piece that helped me made the decision to order one for myself aswell :). I got it today and even after just a few hours of use I already absolutely love it. You can really say that, for the first time in a couple of years, the new Galaxy watch really feels like an upgrade :)
Got 40mm Galaxy Watch 7, and honestly it's far better compared to my old GW4 that's the same size. In my opinion, GW7 is much more efficient - if I disable everything that has to do with radio connectivity and health metric in the GW7, basically functioning like a basic watch, it consumes surprisingly little power (thanks to new transistor technology within Exynos W1000).
For non samsung phones you also miss phone alarm control from watch, modes and dnd sync between watch and phone. I wouldn't recommend using it with non samsung phone. It's a shame for google not making everything compatible between diferent android brands. Finally you have an android phone and an android watch that aren't fully compatible.
The 6 classic and the watch 6 are more convenient to charge due to reverse wireless charging on the phone. You can ONLY use the puck to charge the watch 7.no other charging options available for it. Ultra watch 7 and watch 7 have very little differences. My wife has the 6 classic and i purchased the ultra 7. I feel like i got the lesser watch. If this helps anyone. I do like the watch. But i never purchased a smart watch. But when comparing to my wife's 6 classic, it feels like its a few steps behind it in real world use.
I have the watch seven and I also have an Apple Watch. I find conductivity of the Samsung rubbish compared to the Apple Watch which is a bit frustrating because I like Google home and its integration which of course does not work on Apple Watch. It's phone calls and text message on the home Wi-Fi network doesn't work consistently and I missed phone calls, so I must have the phone close by me in Bluetooth range. It's not just this model it's 5,6.
You mentioned the fall detection but does it work? On previous versions it was worthless. Ref the blood pressure, does it keep a history so I can show my doctor?
@user-ts7zw6xh6r Did you try to wear and really use a watch? Because NO WAY to have 48 hours battery life without disabling everything and put it in power save mode.
Great video except for the Samsung copying Apple part. Samsung had a cushion case years ago. This is an update on that model. Now, the band and quick button was definitely ripped off from Apple lol
Watch 7 is a great watch, a good price, and a lot of upgrades, ultra ver is just like apple ultra ver, more fancy for who want to spend more money, but this is not mean there are bad watch.
No The Ultra is not a bad watch, that’s why I ranked it no3. I just feel for the money, they could have made it better than the std GW7. That was my point.
Hi guys, I'm hesitating between Garmin Venu 3 and Samsung GW7. They say that the Garmin has a better battery and that it is quite versatile in terms of applications (health, sport but also payment, music...). I admit that taking a watch that you have to recharge every day is a constraint, don't you think?
I still like my GW 5 44mm and 6 Classic 47mm and I like your honest opinion on that GW 7 but that's not something I would pay that much money for I rather wait until Samsung brings out a new GW 8,⏱️ 9, ⏱️and probably a 10⏱️ with the rotating bezel on it and much more features built inside there watches like a blood pressure monitor built inside and where's you can leave your phone down and see how many feet of distance with the watch on not to bring your phone with you now I have tested that with my GW 6 Classic 47mm I left it inside the basement of a parking lot and took the elevator up to the first floor and some point you will hair a beeping noise and that's when the service will cut off but the watch it's will work but not the features on the watch 6 Classic 47mm now on that GW 7 watch how would that sparker hold up with a crowd full of ppls like on a train or at a spots game let's say a football game 🗣️ ⏱️👂🏾 these things that Mr Samsung doesn't test their watches on and you your still going have to buy a screen protector on any of there watches because your going to bang onto something that definitely happens even with their phones 📱 that's my Opinion 👍🏾👌🏾💯🏆
I have a gt 5 pro titanium. Beats any watch for baterry life and design/materials. But i hate it because it has no voive assistant and no paying with your watch. So i am looking for a watch with google assistant, heart rate, spo2, etc etc but with greater baterry life (at least 7 days)
Not really worth the upgrade, your not missing much and some of the new features are coming to GW6 via firmware update. I would wait for series 8 before upgrading.

Thanks for the great and informative review as always. 🙂
My pleasure!
Then you might as well just look at your phone for the time instead of spending so much but disabling everything
Beautiful review❤❤❤
very good review
Thanks need this ❤
Best review out there very detailed thanks!!! I jusy Subscribed
Thanks for the sub!
The battery life is not bad on this watch! I get over 2 days of battery life on my 7, maybe a few extra hours than I got on my 5.
Absolutely loving my 44mm Galaxy watch 7, yet to see how much battery turns out.
Enjoy 👍
You will hate it because real battery life is 12 hours. First 2 days mine was fine but now no more than 12 hours even after full reset
@@ddv2005 needs to learn your usage from there it will drastrically improve
My 7 44mm WiFi battery life is at least 48 hours, I’m shocked after Apple Ultra 1😮
@user-ts7zw6xh6r Did you try to wear and really use a watch? Because NO WAY to have 48 hours battery life without disabling everything and put it in power save mode.
Got the ultra for $130.00 Samsung has a trade in deal
Great video except for the Samsung copying Apple part. Samsung had a cushion case years ago. This is an update on that model. Now, the band and quick button was definitely ripped off from Apple lol
Great review ! But is it better to buy the watch 7 , the watch 6 or the watch 6 classic ?
Ничего из этого
Watch 7
Thank you !
Thank you very much and keep going!
Very nice review! Thank you
Best review ever. 10/10
I admit that taking a watch that you have to recharge every day is a constraint, don't you think?
by the way : great job, terrific review !!!
Hello from France :)
I don't have a Samsung phone but I do have a Samsung tablet so will that cause any issues? Thanks
In the US, we have the ECG but the blood pressure monitoring has not been approved here yet.
Great review. Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
Question. Can i charge it with Samsung 25w charger, or it has to be plugged in PC's c port?
I bought this because it has a blood sugar sensor. it's working great 👍
I have a gt 5 pro titanium. Beats any watch for baterry life and design/materials.
But i hate it because it has no voive assistant and no paying with your watch. So i am looking for a watch with google assistant, heart rate, spo2, etc etc but with greater baterry life (at least 7 days)
Love it thank you
Im so glad I watched this. Im upgrading from my Gear S3 Frontier. An upgrade which is long overdue 😂😂
I think I saw the watch saying Willesden I'm from Kilburn. Lol love your posts keep going bro
I have the GW6 is it worth upgrading to the given? Thanks for the review!
Not really worth the upgrade, your not missing much and some of the new features are coming to GW6 via firmware update. I would wait for series 8 before upgrading.
@@ChigzTech thanks for your response I will wait for watch 8! 🙌
@@ChigzTechно я бы не согласился с тобой полностью. 7 модель более быстрая и имеет значительно меньше лагов, чем 6 классик
Blood pressure isn't approved in the US as far as I know? And hey!!! I bought the Ultra. So far I really like it.
What's the ring you wore in your left index finger?
