  • This had to be my most edited and ambitious review in a while. Lady and the Tramp 2 Scamp's Adventure (2001) is NEVER talked about. Though, maybe this video might change that. Who knows. Lets not question the future.

Man I had no idea a Sleeping Beauty sequel existed!😃

Not much people know of its existence. I only knew about it because of an old advertisment on one of our DVDs. I never watched it though, but maybe its something I should review in the future?

@@funnyhappystudios Yeah I do think their should have been a sequel to flush out the characters and the romance between Phillip and Aurora but it sounds like the writers did a terrible job.😢

I don’t really count the Enchanted Tales movie as a sequel, considering only the one was made. Plus even Aurora’s original voice actress criticized it so badly, hating how much they turned Aurora into an airhead

Also this movie is kinda dark due that some people say that Angel is not a child but a grown adult there is a reason why some people say she is cuz of her saying she has five families

The five families she's gone through could've happened within nine months. The dates of when she was ditched and taken in don't have to be spaced out by a year or something.

@@funnyhappystudios Ironically, Now that I grew up, I don't see angel and scamp as a couple. I could see more of a Rita and Runt relationship that was from the cartoon Animaniacs. Like Rita, angel was guiding scamp into sticking with her because she knew the harshness of the outside life is hard and being alone would only make things harder. I also could have seen scamp getting dognapped, taken out the city where he runs into the junkyard dogs who's rescue mission is led by buster because they know the crooks, scamp is rescued and he travels with the junkyard dogs but realized he misses home. Angel realizes this and offers to take them home. The crooks could've came back stolen angel while scamp makes the ultimate rescue, the junkyard dogs comes to his aid after scamp put up a good fight and they were able to find them because the sheepdog smelled there scent. The junkyard dogs rescue scamp and angel and they decide to return scamp together. The junkyard dogs tell them that the free life isn't right for him. So they decide to leave, Angel decides to leave but wants Scamp wants her as family and the end happens the same.

I say maybe Angel is actually an adult because she’s a short dog breed like a Maltese or a Chow, especially because of her tail. But if she is actually an adult, then that’s pretty creepy she falls “in love” with an actual puppy instead of becoming his adopted sister

Angel is the best character of this movie. She is kind, agile, cute and was unlucky with humans. She had 5 families and each of them leaved her, that's so sad! The puppy told it to Scamp and he didn't understood her. His dream was more important! He even refuses to run away with her, what a jerk! She deserved a better friend than him! Also, Scamp wasn't that sad to see his family missing him; he still wanted freedom despite seeing than they loved him. His attitude was horrible! This dog is not a good hero unlike his father; he protected the baby by killing the rat. Scamp did nothing like that. His father got him out from the pound and Angel too! She should be the main character 🙂

I think if Angel was the main character then this wouldn’t be a “Lady and the Tramp” sequel. And Disney doesn’t like giving attention to characters who don’t make kids fanboy/fangirl from their presence.
But yeah, Scamp is just an awful spoiled brat with an unfitting voice.

As somebody who loves the original movie, I thought the sequel was pretty mediocre

Imo, this movie was meh. But if we’re comparing it to other sequels and not to the originals which clearly had more complex writing and plot elements, this one isn’t nearly as awful as other Disney sequels. Aside the junkyard dogs, I think Buster could’ve been a much better villain, and I actually really loved Angel as a character, she reminds me a lot of Meg. I think what would’ve really helped is if Scamp and his sisters were older, like he was a little shorter than Tramp, to really show his yearning of wanting to be free and foolishly believing he can take care of himself on the streets, just to get his butt whooped and understanding he’s not this big hot shot he thinks he is.

I would like to know why the copyrights have not blocked these videos from viewing due to the film clips used in these videos, is it because they are short enough or because of that background distortion or because the copyrights in your country are not so strict in terms of the use of film material, or why?

Imo this sequel isn’t nearly as awful as a lot of the other ones (looking at you Pocahontas 2) the main things I really disliked where the dog catcher being a bumbling buffoon (which I’m assuming was supposed to be inspired from Don Knott’s performance as Barney from the Andy Griffith show) Buster had the potential to be an awesome sequel villain, but his story as Tramp’s former partner is completely shoehorned in and makes absolutely no sense when watching the first movie. And yes, I absolutely despise how Lady and the “no name” sisters only appeared for like 5 minutes with copy and paste personalities, all being spoiled brats constantly making fun of their brother. Imagine if that’s why Scamp wanted to be a wild dog because maybe his sisters were constantly picking on him and something they did (like breaking an expensive vase or something) Scamp gets blamed for and punished. I also felt the sisters didn’t miss him that much, more relieved their bratty brother was gone for a little bit. Yes, the other junkyard dogs don’t even have actual personalities aside from the VAs’ performances (like the sheepdog being the dog version of Patrick Star 🙄)
Actually, I’m surprised no one ever mentions this. Imo, Angel reminded me of Meg. She has a very similar backstory of constantly being abandoned and forcing her to be more rough around the edges, but once you get to know her she’s really a sweetheart with a broken heart and afraid to open her heart again. I think the movie would’ve been a lot more interesting if say Angel tried convincing Scamp to go home, but she won’t come with him because she’s given up on the dream of having a family that won’t abandon her and can’t have her heart broken again. Maybe Tramp or Lady sees how much their son loves and cares about Angel after defeating Buster and saving Scamp, so they take her home with them and eventually Jim and Darling come around and accept one more dog into their family.
Actually, I think the song World Without Fences was my least favorite. As you mentioned, Scamp has been outside the fence and explored the town with his family, so his dreams are a bit unusual. What if the humans thought the puppies were too small to leave the house yet?? My favorite song would be I Didn’t Know I Could Feel This Way, despite I kinda wished they did something different for the spaghetti scene, considering I’m pretty sure Tony and Joe don’t know Scamp as Tramp’s son.
As for the part with Buster catcalling Angel his girl, I don’t know if Angel is supposed to be a Chow or other small dog breed, so she’s actually an adult and not a puppy. I think they should’ve made Scamp and his sisters bigger, maybe Scamp a little shorter than his dad to show him as a teenage dog and understanding his confident and ungrateful attitude of wanting so badly to be wild and free. Because otherwise he’s like only like 10 or something in human years. But having this cringy “relationship” between Buster and Angel or Angel and Scamp makes either choice super disturbing, an adult hitting on a literal child (in a sexual way) 🤮 and I get it’s something the movie forgot to clarify about Angel’s age or breed, but Scamp is still very young and an actual puppy, not a weaned adult looking for a new home or something

Though however, after looking it up, Tramp might be a Standard to Giant Schnauzer with uncropped ears, and in all likely hood a mix with Shepherded. Him breeding with a Cocker Spaniel and having Scamp, who has longer ears, would make sense. Schnauzers with uncropped ears are commonly loppy, something like a Labrador's.
