  • 🔹 About the Talk:
    Diarmuid O’Brien (Chief Executive of Cambridge Enterprise) delves into the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in Cambridge.
    🔹 About the speaker:
    Diarmuid O’Brien comes to Cambridge Enterprise from his role as Chief Innovation & Enterprise Officer at Trinity College Dublin, where he had overall responsibility for the development and enhancement of the college’s innovation and enterprise strategy. Diarmuid was a Research Fellow at Princeton University. He has a PhD in Physics from the University of Sheffield and a degree in Materials Science from Trinity College Dublin. He joined Cambridge Enterprise in August 2021.
    Talk was chaired by Michaela Kadlecová, Associate at the Entrepreneurship Lab.
    🔹 About King’s Lab and what’s next:
    The Lab is a project aimed at equipping students with entrepreneurial skills and support those wishing to explore a career path in innovation, entrepreneurship and business. The year-long extracurricular programme is aimed at students from various degree paths and any subject (from undergrads to postdocs). The programme includes an intensive week-long residential and regular lectures, visiting mentors, entrepreneur-at-residence and more.
    Emphasis is put on developing sustainable and ethical projects with a positive social and environmental impact as well as expanding entrepreneurial skills to students outside of the business school. The project is led by two King’s Fellows - Kamiar Mohaddes and Thomas Roulet, alongside student associates (Michaela Kadlecova, Adam Motloch).
