This was very helpful. I recently got into a huge accident on my Vespa GTS and the share around getting back into it was heartfelt. Really needed to hear that. Been looking at the Carmel as my top pick for a daily and weekend touring bike.
I bought my 2018 Vanderhall in Aug of 2022 black with red accent from a Harley dealer in Bellmore Long Island, right across from the Long Island rail road and they are very good I bought mine used they gave me new tires new battery and took care of me they were very knowledgeable, The salesman was a gentleman and I respect the owner because he stood by the product 👍🏻✨🇺🇸.
Great review! I purchased my Venice about a month ago and I’ve enjoyed every moment spent with it!! I really enjoy your videos and have watch each at least twice. Looking forward to viewing your new content. Enjoy the ride!!
Thank you for this info. It was very even handed and I learned a lot. I like 3 wheelers because they are so back-to-basics. I was disappointed to hear about it having an automatic transmission and the electric steering. That really makes me reconsider saving my pennies for a Vanderhall.
You are so right coastrider I had a Can-Am Riker and I'm getting up there in age 66 I didn't like going on the highway going over 55 miles an hour with it, So I bought myself a 2018 Vanderhall and I love it. 🤪👍🏻✨ Safe riding my friend 😌🇺🇸✨ i'm out here on Long Island so I also have some coast riding not as beautiful as the west coast but there's some nice spots here too ✨ ✨❤️🔥🇺🇸☮️✨Peace & strength my friend ✨
HOPE the Manufacturer is listening ? I WOULD !!!!!!! I love them ! Can am Spyder is cool ! I have rode big n Giant Scooters my whole LIFE !! This thing is COMFORTABLE!! I agree w/the windshield needs to be higher ! Mine has not cracked ! But I am 6’3 , n my eyes up or the top get harassed pretty intensely !! Going to try an electric one !! I am upset the price has gon up $5000. (Not quite)
Unless I'm mistaking, there's no Vanderhall dealers here in New England. That's a problem for a large area consisting of 6 States. Talk about missing out on some sales.
You had mentioned F4 Customs for your windscreen… where did you get your side mirrors from? And your upgraded rear lighting? Thank you for the review. Great audio, I test drove a Carmel Blackjack but am considering the Edison 2
I bought a 2021 Slingshot R with automatic and it stunk, down shifted terribly, the brakes are very mushy the u joints clunker back and forth and the noise from the belt and angle drive was very annoying. I sold it and got me a Vanderhall Carmel and absolutely love it.
My experience has been that after a few months if going 70 mph or more the windshield will crack and you will be on your own to replace it. When you go to the dealerships in Houston for a over heating issue, they'll take two months to repair it. So, there gies two months of your warranty wasted and you didn't get to drive your car. - Jimmy
A rock hit your window. Yeah, that happens in life. But don't make it out as if the stock windows are faulty and crack on their own. Take some responsibility for once.
You did not mention the new Can-Am Ryker which the 600cc starts out at 8600 and the 900 start out at about 10 grand as far as Harley trikes it's a whole different ballgame you have one wheel in the front and two wheels in the back or Can-Am Rikers spiders vanderhall slingshots Morgan's T-Rex have three wheels two in the front one in the back whole different ball game than the gold wings or Harleys or yamaha's or whatever you make a trike out of you need to tell that difference
Actually you could fit. The designer of this vehicle is 6’5” tall. I’m six three and usually put the seat forward a couple of notches. You might be pleasantly surprised.
Depends on where you're at, but also even if you don't it's better safe than sorry. The windshield is really low on this and it sits almost on the ground so stuff likes to fly up and smack you.
As far as complaints go you're not exactly a spokesman for the company that's for sure anything that's new is going to have problems it doesn't matter if it's slingshots Can-Am Harley trikes Morgan's T-Rex what have you many times the people that are doing the complaints are the ones that are abusing the equipment granted things can happen but people using Common Sense goes out the door A lot of times too and that's why you have problems and you tend to hear about the people complaining about the ones that love the product
Never said i was a spokesman. You might have noticed I said mine has had zero problems. However if you go on the Facebook forums you will find dozens of problems that cover many flaws from the factory. Overall I think most buyers are happy and I did say I highly recommend the big V. My personal review and my opinion. One clear fact is very few dealers. Especially in the NW.

Where do you store a back pack with jacket, hiking boots, a couple sandwiches? If your wife has hips is it cramped?
Looks like you should compare your ride to a Mazda Miata , and not a Harley or Honda trike.
A miata isn't an autocycle nor a trike... that's like comparing a motorcycle to a vespa.
@@WhiskeyToro But he said the whole point is the adrenaline thrill, so as an exciting way to tour backroads it is valid to compare it to a Miata.
No luggage / helmet / anything space in it tho.... except for tiny (lockable) glove box. 😢

Very nice machine... Front wheel drive and no manual is a minus... Enjoy
Loved the ride and honesty.....!

Any overheating issues. I know turbos tend to run bit hot. Especially in stop and go

T-Rex are badass
Thank you , what a great review !
What about ground clearance? It looks like it cannot clear speed bumps or incline driveways. That nose sticks so far out compared to the wheels.
Ground clearance is 4 inches plus. I’ve been over plenty of bumps but slowly and I’m careful on steep driveways. But so far no issues.
Goes over everything I have encountered !! I accelerate over them now !
nice video!
where is the canyon lodge?
You meant convex mirrors , right??
Yup.
Thanks for the honest review.
Isn't there only 3 manufacturers of reversed trike?. Sling shot, can am, and vanderhall.
Aptera is a reverse 3-wheeler, but probably not considered a "trike".
Great review. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!
What is the interior space? I am 6'7" and it doesn't appear like I could fit.

These are way too expensive to have any problems at all!
I want one so bad. Just a little too pricey for me
What place is this you’re riding ?
Thought you didn't need a helmet in this..? Confused...lol

Damn old man driving haha
