You will get to practice your listening skill with my role play when Thais are having conversations on the phone. Let’s see what Thais say when they have phone conversations with a friend.

"Bpa" question word, good one. "Rao" - "we" used as "I" a bit confusing, but listening in context of the conversation helps. "Jing dee" - really w particle, "dee" and "A" (Ah-phonetic) ending particle also useful. "Rer" (raw-phonetic) another that confuses me. Been listening to Thai channels/ VDOs lately (no subtitles). Even if I don't understand all the vocab, listening still good practice. Rer dee loie! another great lesson.

This video is Great, we need more videos like this or if you can use movie/tv show instead would be also useful, coz I BELIEVE in movie/tv show they always shorten the words or pronounce them differently, and this is why I always having problem trying to understand them ( 80% I understand if I see the Subtitle ) ...

My favorite type of lesson is here again! :) Need more of these for sure since I didn't understand much although I know most of the words xD But that's why I like these types lessons. You have to work on your weaknesses. Like when you said "Rao Naam" I didn't understand that lol. I forget that you can say Rao as I. And also you say "Lao" when you speak fast, as Thais do, and so it double tricked me. I was like "What does Lao Naam mean?? Must be something with water" :p:p Or "Maa ga krai" turns into "Maa a kai" LOL. So in reality "gap" turns into "a" xD Wow. "mai grayng" turns into "mai geng". I think dropping R altogether is also a thing in Thai. I will probably never be able to understand fast spoken Thai :cries: :p Morale may be down BUT it also shows me that I need to incorporate some listening lessons everyday now too to have any hope lol. As someone else in the comments wrote, I think understanding fast spoken Thai is possible but will involve A LOT of practise. Not just listening practise to fast Thai once every 2 weeks. It's not even close to being enough. My initial idea was to first learn all intermediate vocab and grammar and then focus strictly on listening skills but I don't think that's a good plan at all. I have to focus on both at the same time. I just have to find some lessons strickly for listening. I know listening to TV etc. Is also helpful but I won't be able to understand what they say if I don't have explanation like in your video now. I need to find some channel or website that teaches just listening skill. If anyone knows a good place, or have some good method on how to get better in listening please let me know! And New, I'm not sure why but when you have the listening lesson and you speak fast you speak differently than when you speak fast in the vocabulary/grammar lesson. In the vocab/grammar lessons when you repeat the sentences fast one time you say it with "official" pronunciation. But in listening lessons you say it how Thais actually pronounce stuff when they speak fast :) I think it would be a good idea to incorporate that style into the vocab/grammar lessons as well for those times that you repeat the sentence fast. Or maybe at the end of every video you can have the "casual Thai pronunciation" segment where you pronounce all sentences in a given lesson in that casual style. I don't know what's a good solution here but yeah, it really is discouraging a bit to hear " official fast" spoken Thai in the grammar/vocab lessons and thinking "oh, I can actually understand it!" and then hearing the casual pronunciation and being completely lost. This is why I believe if you somehow incorporated the casual style pronunciation into your regular lessons it would be very beneficial for us out there that struggle with listening to that style :) Sorry for the long post :p

Did I hear correct that in normal speed you (almost?) say "săam bin" instead of "sà-năam bin"? Would be great when you teach us new vocabulary you also teach us how to pronounce it in the most casual lazy way!
