Quick review from somebody who owns this game: It's fun! The games are short, usually about an hour with two players (although i think there's a little variation?). The base game comes with two pathogens - Bacteria, which is highly versatile, and Virus, which mutates and adapts very quickly. There's plenty of potential symptoms combos and the event cards allow for some good counterplays. If you want more out of it, there's the Armageddon Expansion, which adds the Fungus and Bioweapon disease types (plus some new country / event cards, and a new gene mechanic!) It's rather inexpensive when compared to other board games, so I highly reccomed giving it a shot... Especially if you've played the original PC or Mobile games :)
Had the same experience plague inc became a trend in our school right before the pandemic and when the pandemic started I became a bigger trend until lockdown happend and school stopped
Imagine if there is a plague vs cure mode where a group of players go against each other as if the plague kills and infects while the cure stops the plague
I've owned this game for quite a while now, it's EXTREMELY easy to introduce to your friends (my friends don't even know English yet they get it lol) and very strategic, and it's stunning how much this fits its source material as a video game based board game! But remember, always wash your hands before and after playing this game!
I love this! The only sad thing is that it doesn't include the countries pushing back like it did in the game. Wouldve even upped the level of difficulty if the countries started pushing against it like in the mobile game version and using things like washing hands, limiting travel, etc.
They should have an expansion where the players can use their dna/pull cards that uses the implemented cure-component from the pc game, which is usually the reason you can even lose the game. E.g. A player could buy/pull a card that "cures" (removes the piece) every virus of a certain color within a country they also have a piece inside of, or a card that can remove a buff another virus has, whcih would limit their ability to spread. This would add some more competitiveness to the game but also means that there are other strategic ways to use the dna.
So the Russian card in the game is considered Asia. Irl it has always been a discussion. Under the UN it’s considered Europe even though most of its territory is in Asia. I don’t remember why I put it in Europe as the video was made long ago. Could be for promotional purposes( Russia next to Germany and Poland feels like it makes more sense than Russia being next to China and Taiwan) it’s more of a connection to a persons brain and interest when they see countries related next to each other. (Kinda like grouping tomatoes with veggies even though some consider it a fruit) that or I just fumbled it lmao
😮 Oh wow. At this point, I should not be surprised what games get a board game adaption anymore. Bloodborne, and now even Plague Inc? I did play it on phone for a short while.
You cant tell me that we are not currently in someones Plague Inc game. Crank infection up as high as possible, throw in some mental fog symptoms... now im just waiting for them to hit the "hemorrage blood" symptom.
clarification: yes, it is a video game, the video game is the original, the devs made the board game as something else to sell after the game got popular
I didn't know plauge inc has a board game I have been playing since it was release. but one question is there 1 v 1 like 1 will cure the virus and one infects the world?
Didn't know Plague Inc had a board game adaptation, but I guess it makes sense.
not as exploitable tho
@@DJCheese77what do you mean, Plague Inc is a perfectly balanced game with no exploits
@@pedrosacramento2231you sure?
@@pedrosacramento2231Ayy Spiffing Brit reference
most of us will head straight to play in the mobile game instead of stay at the menu and see the ad
Such a nice board game hope some day it has some adaptations!
Man me too😂😂
Is this a joke bout the game, or is it an actual statement
@@Butteredprawnsplague, Inc was a phone game , before it was made into this game. So it was a joke.
@@pirateofthebeans_2393was a PC and flash before that

That feeling when you get genetic reshuffle in plague inc 😊😊😊
This has no right to be *this* relatable
My fiancé loves this game. Whenever we play board games, she always asks to play this one.😂
Does she play the video game, its free on mobile, amd of she has, I recomend Rebel inc., made by the same creators, it is quite strategic.

She must like the mobile game version of plague inc

There is a mobile game and its also called plague inc.

This is actually based on a video game called Plague inc. it can be played on the computer or your phone/tablet.
I played this with my friends on Saturday. It took us 4 hours to finish it roughly but every second was awesome.
They should make a video game about this

Plague ink is one of my favorite games so are board game is even better.
It seems necessary to introduce a new Internet rule, namely that there will definitely be a board game for any game.
They should have an expansion where the players can use their dna/pull cards that uses the implemented cure-component from the pc game, which is usually the reason you can even lose the game. E.g. I cannot believe plague inc aka the game literally made a board game
2020: we have the real version
hah I stopped playing the game on my phone to go to YT shorts and saw this immidiately

The plague inc has infected board games!
Not to sound like a nerd or anything but the game recognises Russia as part of Asia (it’s written on the card) and you put it in the Europe section,
It's a video game now but it's only one player
It's based of a video game to people that don't know😊
Now we can not infect Greenland irl
