The workaround is to ADD the Linear Wipe to each layer, as with the first, since copy and paste fails to work. You still need to change the key frames to 0 and 100, and wipe angle.
Hey Gareth, any chance you or someone else can tell me why when I press the number on the keyboard (#2, 3, 4 ,5 ,6, 7 etc), the time indicator does not snap to the appropriate number marker on the timeline like in the video?
Your transition was also backwards like I'm getting. You failed to mention how you corrected it to make sure the swipe went from right to left. If I try to change the linear wipe values like we did for the first video, the bench video plays then the fountain. It's giving me a major headache not being able to get this to work.
It is however possible to first build a similar folder structure on AE and then drag & drop the respected videos directly into those folders, leaving out the workspace-to-folders phase.
I get frames and not seconds no matter what I try. On this tread it says it has to be above 12 sec to see the timeline in seconds. community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects/after-effects-change-timeline-to-seconds/td-p/8887822?page=1
@pratik no he means why create a useless solid to create a comp when you can use a layer that's actually going to be used in the comp. The white layer has no other function It's an unnecessary step.
The "stills" folder is named appropriately because all video folders are named for what kind of videos they contain--e.g., pans (camera moves), stills (camera is still) etc. It's a bit confusing but makes sense once you understand the reasoning. But I totally understand your question--if Gareth's videos have a weakness it's that he"s too mechanical and step-oriented and doesn't expound too much on the "why" or the theory behind what he does.

Thank You!
thank you
Is there a shortcut to fit and center your composition canvas to the view? Can't find this

Go to Settings> 3D > and turn off "Use 1, 2, 3 for navigation". It seems counter-intuitive but it will do the trick
Can confirm this just worked for me, thank you! @@rickengelsher3373
@@rickengelsher3373WOW, I had the same problem, and your tip fixed it, thank you!
@@rickengelsher3373 Thanks.

As far as I know, PC users cannot import folder structures as shown on video.

You actually can. Select the folder and, instead of clicking "import" click "import folder." (to the left of the "import" button)

Try selecting the "Hyde Park" comp in the Project Panel (vs the one in the Timeline) before you go to comp settings. That should work.
I don't understand why you started with a white solid. And why are videos in stills. They aren't stills. I must be missing something
To create the second section in the timeline and to precompose as well.
