The Knicks look to be a serious threat out East next season after trading for Mikal Bridges and re-signing OG Anunoby. The guys will react to those moves, the NBA Draft, and ALL the rumors swirling. Completely agree with Kenny on the Wiggins take. It’s ridiculous a team can not let a guy play for his home nation. If he gets injured it is what it is, playing in the Olympics is a rare privilege and honour that Wiggins should be allowed to experience if that’s what he wants to do.

One of you guys said the Hawks are INCOMPETENT. That is CORRECT. Quin is the root of their problem. As the 5th highest scoring team, Quin tricked off a ton of winnable games. He didn't know how to take advantage of the threat that they posed & make adjustments. Trae & Murray combined for 71 in a early season victory. Nobody even noticed. Everybody noticed when Luka & Kyrie scored 72 pts though.
Trae & Murray could've worked. Vinnie Johnson didn't care as long as they won.
The Hawks lineups & rotations were not the best. They still had plenty of weapons.
[ 8 guys averaged double figures] The average team has about 6 scorers. Quin is irresponsible & illogical in expecting to shoot high volume 3PA from every position. So he does it to the point it's detrimental. He's like Oprah. "Everybody gets to shoot 3's." And is ok with taking turns missing. Take into account that Capela's forced to be the only guy to avg dd2's, rebound & defend.
They lost the most close games by 2.5 pts. "This is where the Trae and DJ COMBO DOESN'T WORK ANGLE" started being REGURGITATED.
The BLAME is on QUIN for not making BETTER ADJUSTMENTS on a GAME by GAME BASIS. Not fair or realistic to BLAME the 2 MOST PRODUCTIVE GUYS for CLOSE LOSSES using ANALYTICS that EXCLUDES the COACHING, chemistry, and teammates ENTIRE ACCOUNTABILITY. This FALSE NARRATIVE can APPLY to the Nets Suns, Grizzlies, Jazz & many OTHERS.
So, the Hawks struggled just like other teams. Then are LABELED a BAD team and the MEDIA & PUBLIC OPINIONS DECIDE THE HAWKS needed to break up & REBUILD. After barely 2 SEASONS. THEN GIVE AWAY A BONA-FIDE STAR WHO SHOWED & PROVED IN THE CLUTCH. THEN TO SALARY DUMP 1 OF YOUR BEST PLAYERS.
WHO IN COMPARISON WAS UNDER PAID. THE HAWKS ARE NOT PURSUING OR SIGNING TOP FREE AGENTS & ARE NOT TRYING TO WIN. OBVIOUSLY.
Despite constant RUMORS, MURRAY was CLUTCH with game winners. Got MULTIPLE GAME WINNERS & CAREER HIGHS. Plus, MURRAY DOGWALKED JRUE HOLIDAY FOR THE BUZZER BEATER & single handedly BEAT THE CELTICS TWICE. BEFORE THE PLAYOFFS. WITHOUT TRAE.
HE EXCITED & BROUGHT JOY TO FANS. GAVE THEM HOPE. AND OUT OF EVERYBODY THIS IS WHO THEY TRADE???? NO WAY THAT MURRAY WAS THE PROBLEM. THEY DEVALUED DM5 . NO COINCIDENCE THAT ICE TRAE IS STILL CONSTANTLY DEVALUED TO THIS DAY AS WELL.
NO. QUIN & THE GM ARE THE PROBLEM. THE PELICAN TRADE WAS A SALARY DUMP AND A MEANS TO MAKE WAY FOR THESE EURO KIDS. THE ONLY REASON THE HAWKS WERE GIFTED THE 1ST PICK TO BEGIN WITH.
The OBVIOUS OBJECTIVE is to BROADEN the fanbase by TRANSFORMING the CORE OF ATLANTA from it's original URBAN CULTURE to a INTERNATIONAL EUROCENTRIC major market PRODUCT. THE NBA INTERNATIONAL AGENDA.

To me, the PICKS DON'T MATTER as much when you still have a YOUNG CORE that CAN COMPETE.

I don’t know why the Knicks would move Randle. I feel like no one actually paid attention to how well he was playing last season before the injury. He’s cleaned up a lot of the bad attempts and was playing more efficient. He’s also the only player out side of Jalen Brunson that can consistently get his own shot. Bridges can to an extent but unless he goes back to being a 26ppg guy I don’t see getting rid of him making sense

In the east you can put out a young some what competitive roster and still have a chance at a playoff series because of the play in. You gotta think Detroit, Brooklyn, Washington, Chicago, Toronto, Atlanta, and Charlotte are all in full rebuild or early ish stages of a rebuild. 2 of those teams are making the play in and if they get hot at the right time you’re in the playoffs. With injury luck you can make a conference finals. I’m guessing Charlotte, Toronto, and Atlanta fight for the 9-10 seeds
