Anyone who says otherwise, is an idiot or hater. Plus the Sixers also got Andre Drummond and Eric Gordon to come off the bench. Drummond backing up Embiid will be a big time boost for the team and Embiids health. Plus they're not done making moves/trades either. Maxey will get even more open looks now too with Paul George in the fold.

So Boston is actually the standard that everyone is still attempting to catch up to in 2025, Prozingis puts them head and shoulders atop the competition.😎

Kwahi Leonard. Tyrese Maxi tends to play like a Shooting Guard and so does Paul George so the starting five has no definition at their positioning and that ambiguity tends to backfire after the mismatches are figured out by the rest of the league.😎

Sixers should be scary this season. Even if Embiid misses 10 to 15 games with the addition of Andre Drummond and the rookie center it should not hurt them as bad as last year because they had no back up center.
I wonder if they try to primarily use McCain as the dedicated backup for Maxey. He’s just a rookie but his playstyle, vibe, work ethic and build is very similar to Maxey. Plus Maxey doesn’t really sit on the bench ever so its not a big burden for them to use McCain a couple minutes a night.
If Maxey and McCain get competitive and push eachother to get better in the gym, we might seem them playing alongside eachother in a couple years dynamically swapping between on ball and off ball duties.

I've seen a zillion different super teams who couldn't win a ring, like the Westbrook + Harden + Durant Thunder, the Irving + Harden + Durant Nets, the Westbrook + Harden + PG + Kawhi Clippers. The most important thing that analysts and GM's neglect when building these super teams is defense. The Celtics had elite defense (Jrue, White, Horford, even Tatum). The championship Bucks had elite defense (Jrue, Giannis, Brook Lopez). The Sixers will be a contender, but I don't know if they're the favorite to win.
