ive been a vegan for almost 7 months now. I have lost weight but im still chubby from all the bad food i have had. but i have so much enegry now lol, im the fastest runner out of all my friends and the heaviest because of the muscle that i have lol, idk its weird
Actually we do have canines. They just are not as sharp or long, our molers are meant for knashing meat and grinding it down just like dogs do. We're omnivores but were originally designed to be vegetarians.
Well I'd say vegetarians are half way there. Whatever their reasons are for going vegetarian, they are kind of half assing it if they aren't vegan. Ethical, environmental or health goals are better met if you completely cut animal products out of your life.
The early human diet was an eclectic mix of foods and meat was most likely a part of this diet in the past. You only have to look at our closest cousins (the chimpanzee and bonobo) to understand this. Both of these animals incorporate VERY small amounts of meat into their diet, mostly in the form of small mammals and insects. That being said, it is definitely possible for modern humans to survive and prosper on a completely plant-based diet. Just watch out for your B12 and iron intake! Cheers!
Awesome interview! Sounds like he was inspired by Brendan Brazier's book the thrive diet! Another vegan triathlete. Check out thrive in 30, a free video web series for going vegan.
What did Rich do before triathlon ? Sure looks like he made alot of money. Good on the guy but to execute the training for such an event as ultra-man takes alot of time and money, especially if you are going to do it plant based.
I wonder how much protein he eats? According to Colin Campbell, rats spontaneously exercise twice as much on a diet with only 5% of calories from protein.
we don't have canine teeth..they r not like a dog. or a cat..come on... they r very short for biting into fruit...nuts.. etc.. the meat for us ..just like the bible says..:D

not true, real herbivores have a much longer digestive system, but we're really close to frugivores ;)

Uhh, sorry, you need to get your facts straight, more people are moving away from theism, not the opposite.
