QD: Maurten gel soft flask. Now I can squeeze up to 7 gels into this flask and don't have to struggle opening individual gels anymore and getting sticky hands or having to put back the packaging somewhere where it gets all messy and sticky. Also you can consume your gels bit by bit.
SJD! I bought an hDrop hydration monitor in May for the hot summer months here in FL. It senses not just your sweat rate, but also your sodium and potassium loss and gives you real-time feedback and a recovery plan when you are done. Then, it recommends specific hydration products that match your sweat composition. It's been great so far, and I've really learned a lot about how to keep myself continuously hydrated for top performance.

$68 for a singlet. I just experienced sticker shock. In thinking about it though, many online, quality brands of running apparel are very pricey so you're probably in line with everyone else. I'll continue to shop at Ross Stores and other discount places, as I have done for many years. Best of luck w/your business, I'm sure you'll do well as people love to spend $$ :)
My most experimental running purchase of the last 12 months: Hoodie made from polartec Alpha direct 60 fabric.
Why: It trended on ultralight forums and they're very equipment minded people who like bleeding edge technology.
What's to like: Very light, breathable, very stable insulating properties in presence of moisture, and high warmth for weight when paired with a windbreaker.
What's not to like: Durability. Doesn't like Velcro on water belt.
Racing each month keeps the surgeons at bay! Go get ‘em, Seth. Won the annual Navajo Nation 12-hour mountain-running challenge last month - at age 60. Next: Grand Mesa 30 K on July 27th. Onward and upward!

Bought a Nathan soft flask so I can do longer summer runs with some water. Need to start putting some ice in it though because my hands get hot and then the liquid within does also 😊
QD: nike tights at ross with senior discount: $12.99. I'm not a senior, but apparently if you go on Tuesday discount day, they'll likely just keep the cash register locked to that discount. I like the pockets, 2 waterproof pockets and two regular ones, plus phone pocket outside

Last running gear purchase for me was 6/27/24. I bought a Nathan 14oz Soft Bottle with wrist cradle from AcademySports. I have been needing one like this for shorter runs in the Louisiana, USA summer, when I don’t need my 70 oz Camelbak. I am very pleased with my purchase, as I used a Birthday gift card and it was on sale! Pinch those Pennies DGR crew.
I picked up cycling to go with my running. I average 70-80 miles between the two..Great cross training. Plus, I have fun doing a 2 hr Marathon via Bike. It's all about THE FUN!! Butter meets Bread . GOOD LUCK SETH!!!

Solomon Pulse Belt for those in between distances 8-12 miles where I want more than a handheld, but a full pack is overkill. I’ve loved it so far! Perfect for a 500 ml flask, gels, phone, keys, and my empty handheld once I crush it 💪

I recently bought a pair of Drymax Trail Run Crew socks and have been pleasantly surprised by how dry and blister-free they keep my feet. I just put in a follow-up order for a pair of their Drymax Running 1/4 Crew socks.

My last race was on 17/09/2023 halfM in Copenhagen with PB 1:14:59. My next race will be on 17/08/2024 in Turku at halM, so after 11 months. I love to race and was not injured, but... It is great when I have half a year time for other sports like cross-country skiing, cycling etc. and then I have full half a year to be well prepared for new PB. Like that I also save a lot of money for starting fee, tickets, time..etc. So for me, quality, not a quantity :) I know how to train very hard at home, do not need expensive races...

I've been going through hydro pack bladders every 3 to 6 months. They start leaking. They have a lifetime warranty and their customer service is amazing though and they send me new ones.

Hi Seth, you use to say that you loved collecting shoes and you would keep them forever so that you could compare all the past iterations of specific shoes with the new releases as they came to market, do you still have them all? had to buy Dewa another new watch; switch from the Garmin Forerunner to a new Chronos (forget which model) which she likes way better. Godspeed at Snowbird!
The latest gear I got is from a company called Nedao. They had a booth at the London marathon expo and I bought a singlet. Since then I got another singlet from them and a few pair of shorts. I've been racing in Soar the last 2 or 3 years, but this stuff is just as nice and half the price. Planning on wearing them in Berlin!

Still looking for the perfect hydration belt that carries poles and doesnt several bounce or sag way down... Vests can get too hot and annoying in this summer heat
Have you tried the Naked Running Band? I've found it to be a great all-around belt that can hold several bottles and/or flasks. I have not tried out its trekking pole loops so can't comment on that. Good luck!
