Dude. This is amazing history and as a pole I'm proud of this. Many people in poland know this story btw. Poland maybe the only europen country that was agains slavery of black people from the very begining. As a polish person I can assure you that racism aginst black people is one of the lowest in the world in Poland for sure much lower then in USA. Look for some statistics about that or come and see it on your own eyes. Poland is mostly white, because of(many americans think thats because racism, but this is projecting american culture standards on polish sociaty)distance, ethnical cleanses made by nazi germany on the terytoriy of poland during the WW2 and today (thats the best!) because we are still very poor coutry and no one want to come here when many european countries nearby provadies much better opportunities. It's got a little beter economicly in the last 10 years and we just started to receive foregeiners who want to live here from other coutries and races. Of course thare are some racist but in the statistics amount of indetified nazi ideology supporters is also one of the lowest in the world.
And thats also reason why this thing with word "murzyn" annoys me AF. This is very old word used to describe black race there was no other word describig black race until very recently when some black activists came to poland and started to forcing new word to polish language beacouse of race war in USA and she don't like the word for some unidentified, unexplainable reason. Those black activists think that polish society is similar to this in USA and have similiar problems witch totally isnt. Bro trust me, Poland is one of the friendlest coutry for black people in the world and this drama over this word will note serve any good in relationship between polish and black people.
