Very good quality video man. Like the honest review and not hyping about this guitar just because you bought it. Like the content and helps a lot by taking serious decision on buying this guitar. Thanks man, keep up!

I think fluence pickups have a better grit for low end djent but EMGs typically have a little more fullness for more chord-based rock/metal

Great video. I have a big collection of guitars. Japanese and American stuff. My go to guitar right now is a LTD256 with a Pearly Gate in the bridge. So balanced...easy to play...and sounds killer.
    Cheers from Ohio

Great review and beautiful playing!I'd like to ask you this. From your experience with ESP/Ltds does this guitar have the same neck as the Ltd EC-401..?All of them are listed as 'thin U' on their site but the truth is that the EC-401s have a rounder neck while the more expensive models such as the EC-1000s tend to have more of a flat, thinner, easy-to-play neck.A matter of preference of course, but sometimes you feel like there's something 'missing' , as if you had replaced the neck on a les paul with an Ibanez Super Wizard one..!Thank you!

Hey man, thank you for checking out the channel! It’s been almost a year since I owned my last 401 so I can’t say with absolute certainty, but I can say that they’re so similar that I haven’t noticed a difference. That may not be the case if you were to inspect them side by side, but from what I remember, they’re very very similar necks.

What about harmonics, pinch especially? I play a lot of Pantera, killswitch style music. How are those pickups for squealy pinch harmonics?

Awesome review! How do you think this compares with the EC1000 with the SD Sentient and Pegasus pups?

Thanks for checking out the video! I haven’t tried those pickups but I’ve heard great things! I’d love to check a pair out sometime so I could do a fair comparison. I’ll add that to the list of future vids! Thanks for the idea 😂

I own that guitar, if that's a typo and you meant to type "SG" instead of "SD".. It has the Sentient & Pegasus pairing with the Evertune bridge and it's a Black Cherry Satin colorway rather than the other finish it was offered with last year..
So, as far as the pickups go, I can tell you this:They're tone monsters with a decently hot output for being passive and the amount character inherent in the voicings is incredibly distinct, with a decidedly vintage tone and an effortless pursuit of something like an Appetite for Destruction tone in the neck pickup during WOT volume and tone rolled all the way up at 10 as well..
The bridge is not super bright to the point where it loses the punchy midrange thats typically lacking in all but the hottest passive bridge pups (DimeRail, Invader, Super Distortion, etc) and it will hold its own next to any of those, yet it suffers the same fate as any other passive pup when it comes to the comparison to damn near any decent active pup at which point the lack of brutal "punch" midrange necessary for true "chug" becomes noticeably unaccounted for, just impossible to fake it regardless of how much preamp and overdrive wattage you're running through the cab from glowing red hot tubes in the head... It's gonna be a sad little weewee next to the veiny monster of an active pup, destined to watch from the sidelines as any active pup stretches your ol' ladys walls and bottoms out in her cervix, making a passive pup feel like an overgrown clit in comparison.. It's just not badass enough to hang with brutal metal yet it has its strengths which are TONE for the same effect as the actves have in punch and leaves the actves feeling like the shamed cuckolds watching as the passives destroy ass and require genital reconstructive surgery when their done with it in the tone dept..
That's why I say I'm impressed with the Pegasus & Sentient pups as passive as they are, they'd not be a slouch in the vaginal destruction
