It's me only you always notice this or anyone else whenever I go to spotify to listen any kpo song like today I heard super lady and after that I Got the song super shy by new jeans and I get it every time whenever I hear any song of kpop or any hybe entertainment gg song and I think it's hybe media play and that why newkeans and other hybe gg or bg get soo much streams and then they celebrate it and I am irrated by it I don't about other but it's my opinions but I hate hate hate it listen that sing again and again

March had me playing "Yoyo" and "UhUh" by Rescene on loop. First quarter of 2024 brought so many bops and I'm excited for the rest of the year. Next up: Midas Touch KOIF

You should listen to Midnight Fiction by ILLIT. It's really good. It's one of my favorites bsides this year so far.
(side note : Idk if it's just me but the melody of Midnight Fiction kinda sounds like Celebrate by OH MY GIRL??)

I saw people already saying Baby Monster is going to be Ahyeon (sorry if that's the wrong spelling) and friends but every member got to shine in Sheesh. YG didn't lean so hard on 1 member like what companies usually do. Pleasantly surprised. I still have issues with groups debuting with members that are so young though, but Sheesh was a cool song lol.

I love these vids btw! Last month's video introduced me to P1Harmony and I fell in LOVE (so much so that I bought a ticket to see them in Toronto! My first K-Pop concert ever!) And I'm downloading Young Posse and Xikers new EPs as we speak! Thanks for highlighting these groups!

I don't know what type of music you listen to, but I recommend all title tacks to start with if you want to get to know them better (TEMPEST are versatile with music, so practically each one is a different genre):

BBB is not necessarily a concept change. The girls themselves said they picked this title track just because it's something they wanted to try and they wanted to have a fun song. 7Heaven was a summer song that was released later than expected because of Yuki's appearance on the queendom puzzle show. They have had some "bright/upbeat" concepts with Zombie. Nerdy was upbeat but still dark though

Acquired taste is definitely how I would describe ARTMS's prerelease single. Been a fan since Butterfly era, and am super hype for their redebut, but I didn't really like Birth. I'm excited for their next prerelease though!
I gotta start with NCT Dream! Smoothie is my TOP comeback, more close to NEO style, dark but fun. My favorite song from the album is UNKNOWN tho, I decided it's my most personal song❤. Scape in general is my fave album rn ❤❤.
I did LOVE Eenie Meenie, it's been on repeat!😍
Highlight's comeback is so nice and pleasant to listen to❤.

Nectar is soooo chill! At first listen I was like "mmmm, idk", but I ended loving it! 💕. Call me crazy, but it has the vibes of a 1d song in their early days😅.
Fuego is refreshing to me, a change for The New Six and I love it! 🤭

purple kiss do switch concepts!! they usually do a brighter concept after a darker concept and then a darker concept after a brighter concept etc etc, and i feel like 7heaven just didn't count in that formula bc it was a single!! so most likely their next comeback will be with a darker concept and song
Maybe it’s just me, but part of the melody of the chorus of YooA’s rooftop reminds me of the melody of part of the chorus of Doechii’s What it is.
you should really check out the kpop group TAN. the just had a comeback and it is so good

The yoona song sounds so familiar to a song in the USA in early 00s but I can’t remember who either and it’s been bugging me.
Ditto, I didn’t repeat-listen to many new songs this month, just Eenie Meenie, Slow Motion, BBB and Rooftop (Rooftop sounds like Meghan Trainor's 2016 song NO, so 2010s vibe) - plus NiziU’s Sweet Nonfiction if we’re counting Jpop. I liked Sheesh, but find myself listening to b-side Like That way more. But has anyone else checked out the fever dream that is Aespa’s collab with Fraggle Rock? I get that it’s for kids, but it’s still kinda awful

Young posse is an actual decent hiphop based group. Otb & xxl are good, I hope they can finally get their 1st win but kpop stans in general hates any groups who doesn't release an easy sounding song

19:14 they also did a brighter concept with 7heaven which was their last cb. its kinda hard to tell if its gonna be a permanent switch to more bright concepts or just a short time thing but i guess well see with their next cbs
The girls said they(the members) picked BBB as the title track because it's a concept that they wanted to try and they thought it would be fun

I think the title track should have been Like That. Would have set them apart from other YG groups and their peers in 5th gen. Sheesh sounds a bit too much like they were trying to recreate BP song but falls short.

Exactly, that was a decent comeback for khiphop in terms of being an idol group compared to being a full on group of underground rappers. Its just sad that they won't take any win since they're competing against illit & kpop stans love a generic pop song.

Smoothie was a huuuuuge disappointment for me. Even ignoring the song being way too serious and try hard instead of anything remotely fun, they really couldn't come up with anything better than 'smoothie smoothie smoothie smoothie' for the chorus? Come on.
I did love ARTMS' Birth tho. Great MV, cool song, a very nice rebirth for the LOONA girls after all that shit they went through.

Hybe has been releasing over hyped groups. Honestly, majority of the members of Illit cannot sing. It’s 2024 peoplw not 2000s. Why are we still supporting “singers” who autotune so much of their voice? Watch some mr remove and you will know. Baby monster have great vocals and Unis is being slept on.

Although I'm glad jennie is exploring her musical identity and expanding her horizons, this was a genuinely bad song. It kind of gives off the same vibe as I luv it by camila cabello and I just don't like it. It makes me restless and stresses me out which is the total opposite of what a song is supposed to do.
Eenie meenie feels too empty to be a chung ha song though.
Wendy has an amazing voice but very mid music. If I had to choose, I would choose like water over wish you hell.
I think friends should've ended up as a hidden track on his Layover album. I do enjoy it but I would also pick any other song of his over friends.

Magnetic feels so new and fresh to me, and that's commendable since we are in the era of fresh/feathery sounding songs in kpop. I do think the song could've been even better with a proper ending even without a bridge but even so I LOVE this song.
For me, sheesh went from atrocious to barely bearable which just goes to show that for a person who doesn't like bp's music, a walmart version of it would just drive them crazy.
