- Mike and Gloria move into their unfurnished home early; when Mike and Archie get into an argument.
From Season 6, Episode 2 'Alone at Last': The day has come that Mike and Gloria are moving into their new home and Archie is practically pushing them out the door. Archie is being so obnoxious that Mike finally reaches a boiling point until he declares his independence and calls Archie a fathead. He and Gloria spend the night in their new home without electricity, plumbing or heat. Archie is overjoyed that the meathead is suffering but Edith's motherly instinct force her to intercede, she walks out and intends to suffer right along with the kids. Archie is all to happy to take care of himself but while making a mess in the kitchen, he runs across Gloria's bowl from when she was a baby and it melts his heart. He goes next door with a half-hearted apology and tells Mike and Gloria that they can stay at his house until the heat gets turned on.

I love when Edith tells Archie that motherhood is stronger than Bunkerhood. And when she said that after what just happened now, I'm not sure who married a Meathead, them or me....meaning Mike and Gloria.❤❤
mike was soooooooooo wrong not wanting archie in his house. after years of archie letting him live there, feed him, etc shoe is on the other foot! and mike was so ungrateful not even taking into consideration of how archie felt all those years
I think Archie and Mike are both being stupid. And I think it is cute what Gloria called Mike "Poopsie Doodle"

I grew up in the 70’s watching this show. Mikes a Meathead and Gloria took her parents for granted. They should be thankful Archie put up with their crap.
So the Stivics could not go out for dinner? They ruined the steak Archie bought because they are selfish.

Why didn't the Stivics go out for dinner instead of sitting in the dark? Edith would have cooked a great dinner if Meathead didn't ruin the evening.
They could've at least ordered a pizza. They didn't have door dash and all the other food delivery options they have now but you could always order a pizza.
