- In this edition we explore the issue of "cattle laundering" in Brazil. This practice involves transferring cattle from a farm whose meat cannot be exported, due to illegal deforestation on its land, to another "clean" farm that is not affected by these bans. This falsely labelled meat can then in some cases be distributed to French supermarkets present in Brazil such as Carrefour and eventually reach the plates of consumers in Europe. Our correspondents report.

It’s not like there aren’t any cows in Europe. Why would you ship perishables all the way from Brazil anyway? Methane+Deforestation+LandGrabs+Climate Change,Shipping Costs+ Supply Chain …. it’s not even like ALL THAT is making it more affordable for a consumer either.

I used to know a food consultant . He once went to Brazil to look at meat for McDonald's in the U.S. He told McDonalds the companies could not provide safe food. Even here in the U.S. we don't know where our beef comes from anymore. Most slaughter houses are foreign. Farmers pay our Gov't about $1.50 a month for grazing one cow on federal land. Deforestation will kill us all.

I feel ashamed of this crime against life on earth even listening to the investigations and these criminal gangs don't know altogether what shame is .
