Hurricane is really aiming for that suburban sprawl. Have fun figuring out how to maintain all that infrastructure and pay for it, Hurricane residents.
@ that doesn’t cover it though, that’s why they need new developments to pay for the maintenance obligations of all the other sprawls. Like a good ole Ponzi scheme.
I'm not sure I understand what that Liberty Village thing is. Entertainment and education? Is it someplace people will pay to go in to see? No housing or commercial?
Yeah this one is a head scratcher. Also, it's interesting how "green" they are intending to make it. Are they really going to try to keep up that much grass? Good luck making Southern Utah look like the Northeast, but, hey, can't knock them for doing something interesting..... I think?
Certainly appreciate the videos, Macrae. As a Realtor, you'd think I'd love to see all the growth with more opportunities to sell homes. But I don't. Hurricane (specifically SR9) is going to have the craziest traffic on a daily basis once all of these homes/condos/townhomes are built out. I mean, it's already pretty bad and there's not much that can be done to mitigate it. I wish all the wild growth would have stayed in Greater St. George and Hurricane Valley could have stayed semi-rural. It's incredibly sad to watch, but not much that can be done at this point.
Yes its certainly tough especially considering the demand for southern utah isn't going away. There's only so much land available and Hurricane, and really the whole east side of the county, has the very most by a wide margin. My hope is that as time goes on, cities allow for going a little more density and vertical, rather than sprawling. I do believe SR7 will continue out to I-15 though to give another option besides SR-9 right? I haven't confirmed that but i thought i had heard it. I know that road is getting incredibly busy. And then hopefully the new interchange into Washington fields will be another avenue for people to use going home from St. George to the Sand Hollow area
@@macraeheppler SR7 is essentially useless right now as it's only a single lane each direction. With the massive amount of rock trucks traveling on it doing 45mph, you get the idea. Once they make it a 4 lane highway, it could help. Keep up the good work man!
Civil engineers need to provide better traffic controls with roads in and out to I-15 and St George. Those two laners aren't going to be able to handle all that traffic in 2 to 3 years.
did you think anything was grown or raised here anyway? the only things we had were corn and cattle and it was only to make the farmers money. that wasn't supplying the country with food. also all of this is baren desert wasteland. if you don't like it just stop watching these videos and move somewhere like enterprise
I'm just being my normal self and thats how i talk unfortunately. I've been told by others not to slow it down too. I'm sorry I'll do my best, but there's only so much I can do
Just alter the playback speed to .75 or .5. Let the rest of us enjoy his natural cadence and appreciate the extremely informative content he is producing. BTW, great video, Macrae!
As someone who talks fast, being told to slow down my talking is probably my biggest pet peeve. Find ways to watch the video and use the tools given to you by UA-cam, but spare the request. Think about it for a second, it’s kind of rude. Just my thoughts though.
Morman paradise - “as more restaurants are needed “ - frack it man !!! See them go vertical - you guys will “need” a new giant Angel Moroni - just gross
I love these videos! Thanks
Thank you very much, Macrae!
We stayed in Hurricane this summer at the Zion Villages , went to the reservoir to swim in SandHollow. Nice little close to Zion❤️
Awesome video so excited
For what, urban sprawl?
Thanks Macrae. Great job!

Great update!

It's a history theme park. Here's the website for more info libertyvillage.org/

...water plans?
So where is the water coming from?
That question has been asked since people settled here. I've done videos in the past with water managers here if you'd like to check it out.
Resorts, nightly rentals, going vertical and fast food...sucking the life out of Washington County....
I feel life being injected into me more and more every day Walter 😉
Kinda like the COVID VACCINE 😂
Welcome to Washington City, don’t forget to schedule your reservation to use Sand Hollow Reservoir next year, you’ll need it.
How do retail & recreation jobs pay for half million dollar homes?
They don't.
I see locals getting taxed and priced out of their hometown. But Californians will like making it home.
This is why we need to keep building homes and being open to denser/small types of homes. Demand drives up price is there is not enough supply
Super excited for Liberty Village!

what the heck did he say when he opened?
Is there work there.
Yes
Walmart
In 20 years this will be bumper to bumper traffic
Well. Looks like Freddy Fazbear's isn't the talk of the town anymore. But then again, it hasn't been for a good 30-40 years.
Lol peopple destroying zion
Why live in utah? Go another 40 miles where there's NO STATE INCOME TAX!!
Because Utah >>>>>>>> Nevada in every way
Yea lets fatten up Washington County with all those fast food joints. Enjoy. Oh and way to turn all that agriculture land into pathetic short term (

Nothing else is selling.
All in on fast food and five story apartment buildings. Eat and sleep.
Please talk slower...even with closed caption on it's difficult to follow what you are saying because you talk so fast.
