Rides Again is the fifth album from my one man rock band Draven. Technically I actually recorded another album before this one but didn't finish it until later so it's really the sixth but who's counting? After Rock Ass and the unfinished album I retired. My wrists were shot. I quit playing for five years or so. After that I started picking up the guitar again and noticed my wrists felt better. I thought I could just start playing guitar like a normal person and not record a bunch of albums nobody listens to. But no. Playing always turns into writing. I decided I wanted to return to recording. But I had sold all my equipment. I had to put together a whole new system. It turned out to be a much better system but I didn't know what I was doing yet so this first one sounds a little wack. In my retirement my musical tastes also changed a little bit. My return didn't feature another New York Dolls cover but a Lady Gaga one. Also I started listening to Aerosmith a lot around this time and I hear it all over this album.
