- In today's video we head to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina for Mustang Week 2021. The road trip took about 6 hours, but the drive was totally worth it!
We got to meet up with several other Shelby GT350 owners all modified or heavily modified with boost! The havoc
A short week for me, but still got to meet a bunch of guys out in fertile Myrtle!

Beautiful cars man, currently in the process of oil consumption test with Ford in my 2017 gt350 with only 11,000 miles on it been drinking oil the day I picked it up after ordering it and only has gotten worse, are all those motors that were replaced due to oil consumption as well?

Lol when you said replacement “meaning engine after the original one blew up” I laughed as well as felt bad for those guys, as we all know the problems with the Gen 1 voodoo engines

Man thanks for this video, I have a procharged 2019 Gt that I can't drive long distances and I was curious if my 2018 Chevy Tahoe would have a problem towing it. You answered my question lol thanks bro, your 350 looks awesome

I believe him when he says he got his gt350 for 32k because i was looking at a used 2019 for 38k at the beginning of COVID and they were all around that range
I bought it for $39k August 2019. It’s a 2017. It had 12k miles on it when I bought it. One owner . 2 months later had the engine replaced under warranty for oil consumption. Got the glorious gen 2 voodoo. I was in the right place at the right time when I got the car. Blessed!

All over, a few of us are from Florida. We were rolling down Kings St. Was that yours parked inside the show? We saw a 350 with a Fathouse setup.

Hey Jeff, my 2017 engine was recently replaced and they (local Ford dealership) told me that they put another 2017 engine in it. New never used. Is there a way to tell if it is the newer version? It seems odd that I got another one of the same knowing that those engines have issues. 🤔
Yep! If it was a short block replacement it’s a gen II, I doubt they had any gen Is sitting around. Remove the coil covers and there should be an engine code to make sure.
@@JeffAshton Thanks for your reply and info. The hole thing was replaced, long and short. Everything from the valve covers and up still original lol. I have part #s I'll see what I can't find with this and really appreciate you coming back. Another Floridian here 👍

You clearly have no clue why I’m running halo seats so I’ll attribute that to your low IQ. That also means you couldn’t fathom the amount of downforce the aero on my car produces nor would you have any clue to the functional build of this car. 😂

Why so many engine replacements ? Is the factory 5.2 engine that bad ?
No they’re not. It’s a an amazing engine however the first generation 15-18 is known for having the most issues. Major oil consumption in particular. It is a serious thing to be concerned about if you are looking into a 15-18. Some have no issues but a lot do. Gen 2 19-20 is the way to go. Car gets more features and the engine is significantly more robust
@@NickVazquez_5.2 2019/2020 having issues as well. A good move on frods part to discontinue.

Someone needs to show up with a Fathouse 1200R build 350. LoL
