Completely agree, Orlando are on the cusp of something really good. I honestly think the X-Factor is Jonathan Isaac, dude is a DPOY waiting to happen, if (and it's a big if) he can stay healthy and continue to increase his minutes, combined with the young stars on the team taking that next step they are going to be a force.

The ONLY reason Orlando did anything is because Banchero was an All Star and F Wagner had a good season as well. 100% agree with you about KCP. We're in a great position because we don't have any outrageous contracts. Bunch of young bucks where the only way is up. I can't disagree with anything you said. I do think they want Fultz back but at a reduced contract. Jonathan Isaac will get more minutes. I see more than 50 wins and home court in the first round, which will mean a series win.
Even tho your not a magic fan you definitely know basketball u pretty much hit every nail on the head with this video, most these casuals I watch got magic being a play in team because they didn't make any fancy moves and going off on players stats from last season like no one on the team going to get better we were the 4 youngest team in the league. .lol

I said this late in the video but keeping your best players long term is viewed as "boring" or maybe not headline worthy for a lot of people, but not only is it important, it’s essential to winning 😂 I’ll never understand how securing your future core like the Magic have isn’t seen as a blockbuster move just like a free agent or trade. The only thing they might be messing is some veteran leadership, KCP is ok but I think Joe Ingles was really a good motivator and helped people lock in. If they add a good vet in the future it will do wonders when they reach deep in the playoffs.
That’s a fair point and concern, I think they just signed Corey Joseph to a two year deal so he could potentially fill that role!

You did a really great job explaining the Magic situation. Props to you but I do have some very minor thoughts. I think Gary Harris and KCP are more like wings (as in they play the 2-3). You mentioned Anthony Black got more run than Jett Howard which is true but then you also said Anthony Black got most of his minutes towards the end of the season. Believe it or not he actually started mostly the beginning to early middle of the season (also when we had our 9-game win streak with him starting) because all the injuries we had at that spot of the season. It wasn’t until everyone came back that he got moved back to the end of the bench. He really should have received more playing time at the end of the season but I truly believe he was internally suspended by the Magic for the infamous jersey swap he did with Gradey Dick. I know super small petty things but just wanted to mention for clarity not for a gotcha.
And the Orlando German's hit a homerun with Tristan da Silva!!! 💪
Hanging their identity on defense is something we haven't seen teams prioritize in a long while and its WORKING.

If Magic get a true rim protector that can dominate the paint that will give them another dimension to their offense. Imagine shooting three when needed, able to drive to basket and can play down low depends what team they playing against. I still believe if I was magics I would give Dwight Howard a role. At his age he still is a force
I think Orlando is going to be the next Boston, they just need a couple years to mature their players.

If the Orlando Magic have the bless for draft Tristan Da Silva and he get Over 20 m 6:46 mpg and spend a good min with Paolo, Franz, Suggs, J Isaac and KC Pope they are going to be the team to beat. Plus have progress from A Black, J Howard and Caleb Houstan is going to be the youngest power team.

Caldwell-Pope (10ppg and is 31) signing for 3 yr/66 million
Isaac (6.8ppg) re-signing for 5yr/69 million
Harris (7.9ppg) re-signing for 2yr/15 million
M Wagner (10.8ppg) re-signing for 2yr/22 million
F Wagner (19.7ppg) re-signing for 5 yr/234 million
Joseph (2.4ppg) signing for 2 yr/7.7 million
Our roster got WORSE and yet you are suggesting that people should "stop sleeping on Orlando"
Ppg isn’t the only stat in basketball, KCP and Isaac are excellent defenders. KCP is one of the better two way role player in the league, also 2 time champion, he’s exactly the type of player they needed for shooting as well. I know you’re going for a gotcha but it’s not a well informed take.

When did I say defense was the most important? When did I say scoring wasn’t the objective? You’re completely mischaracterizing my point lol some role players absolutely are worth 20m per season. Would Boston have won without Derrick white? He’s a role player on a similar tier to KCP maybe a little better but my point is they’re both worth that contract. I know for a fact Denver wouldn’t have won without KCP. Scoring is the primary objective offensively, stopping the other team is the objective defensively, they are equally as important. If you watched the Orlando magic last season you’d know that a lack of knockdown shooters held them back from scoring effectively in the half court set. They needed shooters to score, KCP is an elite shooter. He also provides elite perimeter defense, how exactly do they not get better with him in the lineup? Points aren’t the only valuable thing offensively, to actually score points consistently against quality defenses, you need a balance of many things. Creators like Paolo and Franz, who can score on three levels and get to basket and finish are the Magic’s biggest weapons. However, in order for them to not be doubled and swarmed with no room to operate, they need snipers to keep defenders from doubling comfortably. I can’t believe I have to explain this to someone but points per game doesn’t account for many things offensively, like shooting presence or gravity. While KCP may only score around 10 per game, his value is much much higher because of how much better makes Paulo and Franz on both ends. Like this is not that complicated, scoring only works if you can do it reliably, they can’t do it reliably without shooters lol KCP = shooter…
