In this video I will be Diving Head First DEEPLY into the Los Angeles Clippers 2024 NBA Offseason Moves, their 2024 NBA Draft, and their projected 2025 NBA Roster! The LA Clippers unfortunately (Not For Me) Lose Paul George in Free Agency to the Philadelphia 76ers for the 2025 NBA Season. While the Clips will certainly have to figure out their 3rd scoring option, they have an excellent offseason in 2024 loading up on a TON of valuable Role Players for 2025 which I personally think that this is a great strategy to replace the value of Paul George on both ends by Committee! Kawhi Leonard, James Harden, Norman Powell, Ivaca Zubac, Derrick Jones Jr., Nicolas Batum, Mo Bamba, Kobe Brown, Cam Christie, Amir Coffey, Terrance Mann, Bones Hyland, Kevin Porter Jr., P.J. Tucker, Jordan Miller and more Plus Former NBA Championship Player and Coach and Current Head Coach Tyron Lue will be Legit Western Conference Contenders without PG for the Upcoming NBA Season in 2025! Also here’s some feedback of some of the players on our team.
Kris Dunn - He’s likely the best guard besides harden and maybe Kpj if he isn’t that rusty, so he either runs the bench with Kpj or starts at the 2. He’s genuinely one of the best guard defenders in the league statistically, has way more on ball craft than people give him credit for, has one of the best push shots around 5-10 feet. Late bloomer so I expect more improvement. His 3 ball is good also.
Zubac - not many people realize that zubac is one of the better rim protectors in the league, doesn’t stuff the stats with crazy block numbers but he’s really good. He also has elite touch with his post hook and floater. In game 1&2 against the Mavs Ty lue finally ran plays for him and gets was almost unstoppable. a majority of the fanbase believe zu could average atleast 17/10 with more post-ups.
Porter Jr - loved your takes on Kpj, a lot of clipper fans are mixing the off court issues and calling him garbage when he’s actually really good and promising for his age.
Mann and Powell are also a decent bit worse than the idea of them is.

My Hot Take: 1. If Kai Jones can knock down 3 pointers and play solid perimeter defense he can easily play the 4 with Zu at the 5, that'll give the Clippers good protection and rebounding inside the paint and a lob threat for James Harden along with DJJ and Kawhi can slide to the 3 where I personally think he is most comfortable.

I think with them letting Moussa walk, the team plans to keep Kai and Mo Bamba in the rotation. But it’ll all come down to training camp.

Sure, the NBA is often a game of superstars, but if you have 4-5 new good role players, it can be quite effective. I also believe that KPJ, for example, will do a lot for the scoring. Besides the really good defense we have now.

As a clippers fan myself, I love this video. Everything is true and a lot of folks like to say Clips dead in water cause we let PG walk. But with what they did w/ the money. It can’t be ignored. Clippers are definitely prioritizing defense this season. They added huge solid defenders. And added Stan Van Gundy. Never had a defense below 5th. The new depth also allows clippers to make more moves during season to. They sleeping hard

Depth wasnt our problem, I believe we would of won 100% if kawhi played. Getting ride of Pg just adds more load to kawhi, our coach is not going to play all these players come playoff time

As a clips fan I’m sad to see PG go but ultimately know there was no way to have any flexibility going forward so I’m ok with him leaving, also see Big Zu having his best year and I do see Kris Dunn playing more prominently due to his defensive abilities. Good video ! 🙌🏼

Would love to see christie get some PT as a CAH guy… dude is a SNIPER. MPJ level pull up and he has very solid iq w good length to be competitive on defense. Developing kai jones is the biggest sleeper move for the clips, especially playing along side harden. Hes got an insane motor w a massive wingspan, definitely can make a difference on defense. Van gundy is going to cooooook w all these defensive players

I think this is a great take. Clippers lose Paul George but gain athleticism, versatility, and depth.
I do think they should trade Bones Hyland and PJ Tucker and maybe Terance Mann for another big man that can score. This will open up opportunities for guys like Jordan Miller, Kris Dunn, Cam Christie, and Kevin Porter Jr

I am a bit concerned about our depth at center. If Zu gets hurt, which will likely happen, that leaves us with Mo Bamba, and possibly Kai Jones as our centers. I really like the potential for Kai, but he doesn’t seem like the big body we need to protect the rim against the likes of Jokic, Anthony Davis, Hartenstein, Gafford etc. We need more size and depth at center and power forward and have too many guards that need to be traded to get more depth at the position. I think we will get exposed if we don’t get more depth at the center and power forward position.
Roster is def solid. They’ve got Harden Powell Leonard DJJ Zubac with a bench of Dunn Porter Mann Batum and Bamba it’s decent

You’re the first one to get it spot on. Clippers will still win 45+ games IMO assuming Kawhi can play 55-60 games at least. People thinking they are stumbling to the bottom of the conference are crazy to me.

If Kawhi’s healthy (big if), the Clippers roster is going to be better than the roster they had going into the playoffs last year with PG and Harden (this time it will be Kawhi and Harden + more depth). And even then, they looked pretty good in two of those games versus the Mavs (obviously they lost but they took the west champions to 6). That’s the optimistic look of losing Paul

I believe our roster is better after all our moves. We would have been cap locked if we gave PG max deal and be in same spot. We got younger, more athletic and better on defense. Go Clippers!! 🎉

Could be, you’d have to give something else with that package, but it’s possible to add a young upside player on a small contract to make it happen. Not sure if you wanna trade anymore of your draft picks but it is possible in my opinion!

The Clippers made some huge picks up in JVG (great defensive minded coach and I'm glad that he's on the coaching bench once again even though he coached a few years in the FIBA qualifiers), DJJ is a great pick up to help on the defensive end and a great slasher (still mad at him for robbing Aaron Gordon in the 2020 Slam Dunk Contest), Batum is always a welcome addition as a solid back up small ball 4/5, hopefully KPJ justifies the signing because he is going to carry a lot of baggage, Kris Dunn can be a good defensive minded PG, Bamba can be a great pick up if he can prove to be a better option than Theis (floor spacer) and Plumlee (ability to pass).
They need cohesion together and hopefully this brings them even further than 2021.
Personally, if Harden can play more off-ball like how he did under McHale, he would be an even bigger threat.
Losing PG is tough, but I agree he’s been replaced by solid role place. You’re right, there is a lot of talent, so I would agree there’s an opportunity to aggregate for a trade. Go Clippers!

I like your optimism on the theory about Paul George. However, bottom line, you let him walk and got nothing for him. It's great what the management was able to do in the off-season? But that the Clippers would have been able to get for PG from G.St. would have be much better.

Kawhi has no expectations put onto him which is pretty dangerous if you ask me cuz last time it was like that was 2019. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Clippers remained a top team in the west because all they did was retool and got more depth.

Kawhi and Harden healthy with TY Lue great coaching this team is still making the playoffs. I have a strange feeling Kawhi be healthy this post season run and Clipper might finally make the finals. Being super optimistic but hey shoot for the stars. If this season a failure I see Ballmer just trading away Kawhi and Harden for picks & more young player to start a rebuild.

For one, signing PG to the contract he wanted, would have locked the Clips in hard cap, passing the second apron at that point. They could not make any move at all until their contracts expire to a point the Clips could go under the cap.
Secondly, Harden stays healthy. Neither PG nor Kawhi are healthy for the whole season but Kawhi is obviously the superior of the two when available.
Lastly, they have a glut of wing players with potential in Boston Jr/Miller / Coffee / Kobe Brown / Cam the Rook playing behind proven young vets of Jones Jr / Porter Jr. joining our long list of guards of Bones / T Mann / now Dunn. Gotta open up some playing time for the kids.
We need Bobby portis at our 4 for floor spacing rebounding and the energy he brings !

The Clippers has one of the best front Office In the NBA, they been putting together a good roster & staff for atleast the last 7 seasons. I lost a little respect for PG, they gave him an offer hoping he would be willing to negotiate to have cap room to help improve the roster? But he wasn’t even willing to renegotiate a new deal, I guess he felt that anything less than a 4yr Max was insult… so he got on the first plane out to Philadelphia. I don’t know why the Sixers were so desperate to give him that insane contract? But I guess it’s nothing new or surprising for Sixers fans, Elton Brand has been offering everybody Max contracts since he got there! At one time I think they had like 4players singed to max contracts and played like they worth half that LOL I don’t even know think they made the Playoffs half that time? They really need a new GM like 4yrs ago! I love Maxxi and think they shouldn’t let him Lead this team, instead of always making him take a backseat Embiid gets up from his hospital bed?
