MysticDrifter, for animals it is difficult to learn or accept fireworks... But it is possible to teach animals not to be afraid of firework, my friend has 4 dogs and 6 cats and none of them is afraid of fireworks, it took just some weeks to get them to the point to ignore fireworks, just find a good 'dogschool'/"Hundeschule" and they'll know how to help you! :) Me and my friend are totally escalating on new years eve and last year bought fireworks for mire than 600€, it was just epic and all the neighbours loved it! It's the moment that I love, when the whole street stops firing their stuff and just watches your beautiful, loud, bright, fast und expensive firework! This is more than passion for me. Some call it 'wasted money' but I call it a 'hobby/passion'. Greets from Oldenburg, Niedeesachsen, Germany
if youre in Stuttgart on next New Years you should go to the Bismarckturm. You have a pretty sick view over all of Stuttgart there and its easy to get there. Also the Fireworks will kind of explode under you (if you know what i mean) which gives it the extra sick touch
Its not like that anywhere in Europe. In some european states it is not allowed to buy fireworks. And 2016 Austria had a drought, so they didn't allowed it in Tyrol to prevent forest fire
i´ve lived in stuttgart for 10 years but i´ve never been downtown on new years eve. but it really looks crazy. here in berlin its like that on every street on new years haha
I'm living in Stuttgat fo 30years now an only once have i been to the Schlossplatz on newyears during the 2000 millenium celebration, this was the worst idea, ever! It was like a war zone...
Being a German I grew up with this German firework mentality but last year when I visited my sister in Iceland over New Years... There were not as many people as there are here in your video but there were at least as many fireworks. It was great. Also the Icelandic search and rescue association (ICE-SAR) is partially funded by their firework-sales around New Years so the Icelandics gladly spend a little bit more on fireworks.
Nice Video. And as you see, not Oktoberfest, but New Years eve is the biggest party in germany, no matter where you celebrate it. Its everywhere the same! Since you are back in the states, all germany can barely await a "Life in the USA"-VLog ;) Think of it :D
Hi sam last jear i had an interesting expierience with a neighbour from Syria: he asked me: rockets don´t fly , why. i showed him how it works and found out that he stuck the rockets deep into the ground instead of putting them into a bottle XD
Haha, yeah, after grwoing up with German Silvester seeing the japanese "great" summer festival Hanabi (fireworks) is... well it's great and you're not freezing, but! All the fireworks are just at ONE place! WHY? Is it like that in America as well??
Hi Sam, thanks for your videos on life in Germany I find really useful . I am an Indian, trying to find a job in Germany and move eventually along with my family. My question is, What is the cost of living for a family in Germany. (including rent, food, groceries, clothes, elericity and other house hold expense) can you make a video about it...Much appreciated !!! thanks!!
+Sugin Benzigar Well, the official poverty line is at an amount of ~850 Euro per person. A flat for 3-4 people is between 600 Euro rent in less popular parts and up to 1200 Euro rent in more popular parts. This usually includes a partial advance payment for warm water and heating. 300-400 Euro per person on food and other expenses per month. So for three people I would estimate that you need around 1800-2000 Euro net income to survive. That is an estimate and largely depends on your lifestyle, how big your rent is and what other expenses you have f.e. car etc..
Yiaaa!^^ ...but one case i disagree, every child/baby would be save at those party places/days^^ (Our kids are the most treasure we have! We take them everyway we go, and trust me, they`ll be save!^^ Why? `cause 99% of our citizens "learnend" and knowin how valuable LIFE is...
Thanks for this shocking documentary of how deep Germany has fallen. You're lucky you made it home in one piece. Do you think differently after hearing the whole fallout of that night nationwide? You should have been sceptic about a celebration in Germany with barely any Germans out...
You know you're European when you start to smell burnt gunpowder while watching this. Ah, so many happy memories :D
Ha ha ur so right. 😁
Manche nennen es Bürgerkrieg, andere nennen es Silvester in Berlin.

if youre in Stuttgart on next New Years you should go to the Bismarckturm. You have a pretty sick view over all of Stuttgart there and its easy to get there. Also the Fireworks will kind of explode under you (if you know what i mean) which gives it the extra sick touch
Hey, nice hearing from you :) Even with a New Years video on the end of May *LOL* Hope you´re doing well.

Ich habe den countdown vermisst.
glad youre back

Well, we are a disciplined and responsible bunch. Won't probably stay like that what with us importing millions of sociopathic muslims.
