The voice over for WAVY-TV 10 was Charlie Van Dyke, who also filled in for former voice actor/radio DJ Casey Kasem on the American Top 40 radio show whenever he was away...
WMGM was one of the few stations to have used WXIA-TV's 1993 Gari Media-composed music package outside of WXIA. The other station included WTAE-TV. The original package that framed the basis of WXIA's package was used by KSBW.
I'm still not super clear about PaxNet. I thought that was the development name for PAX TV (as it was advertised shortly before launch) before they changed it to PAX TV at the last minute and InTV was the "service" provided by Paxson before PAX TV launched in 1998. At the very least I don't recall seeing a "PaxNet" ID on the local affiliate (WTGI, later WPPX). Also unlike the ID from WHCT which only shows the local station onscreen, WTGI had its own local ident which aired before InTV's ID (but not once PAX lunched).
Hopefully we can find full versions of the wlvt promos like toy magic thomas toy box including keystone savings saturn of the valley the swain school etc.
Once I did this and it only grabbed me two cable channels, I think they didn't even come from other countries and it was simply a signal leak on the cable.
DX alone is a big reason why I miss analogue.
I love the serious nature of the guy in the first clip. Then all if a sudden a barney pillow shows up
A good friend of mine, former professor and assn’t manager of a station I worked at used to work at WMGM during the era you recorded that!

I wished I lived in the 90s. Littest decade ever!!!
It was a much better time for TV/FM DXing. The best overall was probably the early '80s, tho.
Me Too.
Holy...you caught some footage of the "Zoom" pilot at 21:24, which is lost media. Nuts!
I miss NJN. It was the first place I saw Red Dwarf and classic Dr. Who. OMG the Fox 10 o'clock news vintage sign on gave me goosebumps.

They had their own music package created by Gari, "The One For All - `WMGM". It's not the same as the similarly-created cuts for WTAE and WXIA.
4:36 The One and Only with The One for All/The Hour signature.

Looks like you caught the end of a Star Trek Voyager episode in one of your Virginia DXes...
13:49 WPRI version of News Series 2001.
The WMGM anchor had an interesting way to pronounce "Lima".
I bet world life is watching this for new split credits on his channel.
This is a really cool bandscan is there anyway to watch the WMBC promo without the copyright issue
14:42 Pax Net
I just noticed that WGNT (3/12/1997) and WLNE are missing.
Same.
Why didn't they get ported over in this video?
12:00 Kramer you've been arrested as a SERIAL *_KILLER_*
6:16 NordVPN is not an insurance company if that isn't already obvious
